"I've just been placed on this medication for bladder spasms and discomfort. Within an hour or two of the first dose, I could feel the difference it was making, which was such a pleasant surprise since the condition was a gradual onset, did not realize how severe it had gotten until I tried this medication. It has been wonderful. It's been a relief to be able to remove this problem from my plate of health issues. So far, no side effects and I am medication-sensitive. I strongly encourage the use of this for many things but definitely for pain discomfort from bladder spasms."

For Overactive Bladder "Got samples from doctor. She said very expensive. So for now started taking for urinary control. About 3 days later got filled up nose, coughing, 98.8 temp, but feel bad. Not sure because pharmacist and paper says you can get a cold or upper respiratory infection. So now to make sure recommended to get covid test. I have to pick up soon at home kit. Medicare B covers cost."

For Overactive Bladder "I have been taking Gemtesa for 3 months and the medication has showed no noticeable improvement. Considering the expensive price of the med it is surely not in my future. New medication should be effective and affordable!"

For Overactive Bladder "06/05/2023 - Gemtesa 75mg 1 tab a day. On the 8th day, 06/12/2023, I had nonstop diarrhea, nausea, headache, itching, hot flashes / sweating. As of today, 06/14/2023, I am still experiencing the side effects. OAB has improved."

For Overactive Bladder "I was given a new RX for Gentesa but I can't afford $1600 for a 90-day supply! Who can afford that? The company that makes it is not willing to give me a discount because I have Medicare but that doesn't make sense because I don't have Medicare Part D. I have a federal health insurance plan that covers all my RX. Boo to Gemtesa. Don't bother with Gemtesa unless you can afford it. What a rip-off!"

"I’ve taken this med for about a month. At first, I noticed a good response, especially less frequency during the night. I used to go every couple of hours throughout the night, and after using the med for several days, I was going every four to five hours. I was elated to get longer stretches of sleep, but now, the past week, I feel like it stopped working. I’m back to my old pattern and having more leaking episodes than ever. I’m giving it another week and will contact my doctor if it continues this way. It could be I’m having a bad IC flare, and it has nothing to do with the med. Still figuring things out and am starting a food and urine diary."

For Overactive Bladder "Has not solved my leakage. Initially, it worked to reduce leakage but after several months it is not working as well. Very expensive for me, a senior. I will not get another refill because it’s costly and not working."

"I had days that a big night pad had to be replaced 3-4 times a day. I had huge dribbling out of urine completely saturating pad after pad any time I moved stood up, etc., plus the regular leakage. On the 1st day, my Dr gave me and I took the medication, I went back to just normal leakage no more pouring out. From the 1st day, the Gemtesa worked better than the previous medication Dr gave me. He gave me a 21-day package, but now that it’s run out, I cannot afford this medication no matter how good it works."

For Overactive Bladder "My urologist gave me some samples. I’ve used Ditropan, det, top… (?) Vesicare and they don’t work anymore. Tried Botox, and now have a stimulator for my urge incontinence. I didn’t think it was as helpful at first, but after a week I’m noticing I haven’t had any leaks and can ‘hold it’ for a little while. Wondering if it’s normal to take a week or so to work, but t I’m going to ask my urologist for an RX. I thought I had a month's worth but seem to have misplaced the 4th bottle. Even if it only works for a short while I’m hoping to get at least some control!"

For Overactive Bladder "It did help with the frequency of not making it to the toilet, but my side effects are my hair is falling out by the handfuls, and I will not take it anymore after today. I only discovered it after 3 weeks usage."

For Overactive Bladder "I have had urge incontinence for many years. Other medications left me with an extremely dry mouth. So happy to have a medication taken once a day that has helped without any side effects. I would say that it has relieved my problem about 80-90%, which is more than I hoped for."

For Overactive Bladder "A life changer. I've been dealing with overactive bladder for 30+ years and have used every OAB med except for trospium and myrbetriq; haven't tried Botox. Some I can't take because of intolerable side effects, the others were effective for a few years, then stopped working for me. Most recently, Toviaz worked during the day, but I was still getting up at night and experiencing side effects. Plus, now that I'm in my 60s, the doctor wants to avoid anticholinergics because of memory issues associated with them. Gemtesa has given me a completely normal life and I sleep through the night for the first time in years. It's a wonder drug for me. Only downside is insurance coverage; it was covered for a year with no issues, but I am now going in circles with the primary insurance company regarding approval, living on samples. I am fortunate to have my own coverage and coverage through my husband. Between the two of them, it was covered except for a co-pay for the first year."

For Overactive Bladder "Senior on Medicare, therefore, insurance doesn't help with paying. Way too expensive. Works well for me, but just realized it may be causing my hot flashes, constant URI, and maybe my dry eye syndrome. Will stop and see if I am feeling better. If so, incontinence will be annoying but better than the other symptoms."

For Overactive Bladder "Gemtesa has changed my life. I used to use the restroom every hour. Walking anywhere was the worst. I went through several large pads per day. Everywhere I went, I was scoping out where the next bathroom might be. I would have to go in nasty public restrooms, porta-potties, or ducking behind a tree; anything that was available. Plus, there were so many trigger foods: caffeine, chocolate, citrus, berries, the list goes on. It really got in the way of life. Since being on Gemtesa, I am free from all of that. I was able to go on a 10-day hike in Europe where I would go for several hours between bathrooms. I could hike 5 miles at a time before a bathroom break, and I didn't have to worry about how much fluid I was drinking. I don't worry about any of the previous trigger foods. The environmental impact is significant as well, since I am not going through all those pads every day. I have experienced no side effects, either. It really is a wonder drug."

For Overactive Bladder "I have only been taking Gemtesa for two days and all I can say is Wow! I've been suffering from urge incontinence my whole life and finally said something to my doctor. Within 24 hours, I could see it was helping. I haven't tried yet, but I bet I could stop using pads now. This is awesome! It's so nice to stand up and not have to run to the bathroom!"

"Was on Oxybutinin for over 20 years, (and have also been having Botox injections every 6 months for the past 7 years), after a spinal cord injury caused me to have a neurogenic bladder. Was continuing to have bladder accidents, so I tried Gemtesa and it worked immediately, however, I did get slight nausea as well as night sweats and sweating when having a bowel movement. Stopped the Gemtesa and sweating went away."

For Overactive Bladder "This drug has been more effective than any other drug I've taken for overactive bladder, but the copayment for a 30-day supply is so expensive I can't afford it. My urologist has given me samples, but I don't know if they will continue to do this. Not nearly as many side effects as other drugs I've taken."

I wanted to continue taking the medication but price is expensive. I am due for refill $285.00 for 30 tabs which is not covered by private insurance."

For Overactive Bladder "Been taking this for about a month and it’s working really well. I haven’t had any side effects except for slightly dry eyes, which just encourages me to drink more water, which I should be doing anyway. I’ve had OAB for decades, even wet the bed until I was 13. I never wanted to talk to a doctor because it was too embarrassing. But it got so bad that I was afraid to leave the house because I never got ANY warning and would have to cross my legs and hop to the bathroom. So I finally asked my doctor for something and was prescribed Gemtesa. I have Medicare along with supplementary Medicaid, and I don’t know who paid for it, but I only have like an $8 co-pay, thank God. I take it at night with a slice of bread and I’ve never had nausea or tiredness. I used to wake up in the morning and I wouldn’t feel any urge to urinate until I stood up, and then it would be an immediate dash to the bathroom."

For Overactive Bladder "I have MS and tried other meds for OAB that didn't help at all. I've been on Gemtesa for a year now and it's wonderful to walk past the incontinence products. I have cut the dose to every other day because my bladder isn't emptying fully but it's worth it to be able to sleep through the night!"

For Overactive Bladder "I have been taking it for 4 days and it has worked wonders for me. Not experiencing any side effects but having crazy dreams at night. Don't know if the meds are causing it or just a coincidence! Costing me $47.00 per month after insurance. It is well worth it to me. Hopefully, it will continue to be successful."

For Overactive Bladder "Gemtesa has been life-changing for me. It works so much better than Myrbetriq. No side effects and no urgency. My gynecologist sends it to a specialty mail-order pharmacy, and I get it for FREE! What a blessing this is. However, sometimes they are slow to send it through the mail, and I cannot function well without this medication. My bladder is not happy without it."

For Overactive Bladder "I started taking Gemtesa after I mentioned to the PA that I was having urine leakage on occasion and that I hoped after my treatment for bladder cancer ended that this would stop. She provided me with a prescription for Gemtesa. I have been taking it for three weeks. I have less leakage and no longer wear a pad for protection. I have some comfort to know that eventually I will have control with help from Gemtesa 75mg. I will have to wait to see if this medication provides the help I need because of the short time I have been taking Gemtesa."
