For Dietary Supplementation "The first day I took this, I experienced breathing difficulty, light-headedness, and felt somewhat dizzy. I did not realize it was the supplement causing it. I saw my doctor, and they could find nothing wrong. Day two, the same thing happened shortly after taking it. That's when I researched the product here and discovered the possible side effects, which affected me. My blood pressure was elevated rather than low. I feel fine when not taking this product."

For Dietary Supplementation "I started taking CoQ10 after reading about studies that showed it helps reduce migraines. I've had moderate to severe migraines for years now, sometimes every day, less frequently in winter months. I started taking CoQ10 in winter, so I didn't realize the difference until I ran out. It's hot where I live now, about a week of not taking it, my migraines got bad again. I wasn't having them when spring came, then a week after not taking it, with no other changes, I suddenly was, so I think it's safe to say the CoQ10 works for me. It seems to take longer to start helping than it does to stop, it slowly got better over time without me noticing the first time, and it took a few weeks to reduce them again. I take 200mg a day twice a day, but I started at 200mg once a day to be safe. I will say that this should be taken with caution after some research on brands, the FDA doesn't regulate them, and each brand can perform differently. Hope this helps someone."

For Dietary Supplementation "I started taking CoQ10 without any research. After a few days of taking 100 mg, I was ill; diarrhea, cramps, vomiting for over 25 hours straight. Then dizziness and weakness. Now it is the 3rd day. The doctor and I thought food poisoning because of me eating at a buffet. But it just dawned on me to read up on this supplement. I have kidney disease and take thyroid medication. Now, I just want to know how long before I feel better and how long it takes for the CoQ10 to get out of my system?"

For Dietary Supplementation "I practice cycling on a regular basis (200 miles a week) and started taking CoQ10 because it's supposed to make your muscles produce more energy, but I've been feeling sluggish for a week now. The first day I felt tired, I thought it was regular fatigue and rode easy for 4 days, but I still feel sluggish and without the energy that I always have in my rides. I've seen reviews of people that cause them to feel tired, and maybe that is what CoQ10 is causing me. I will stop taking it and will come back to post again."

For Dietary Supplementation "Greetings. I've read a bit about CoQ10 strengthening the heart. I have just begun, three weeks, taking 300 mg to 500 mg per day. Well, it seems to be helping. I'm having, so far, no tachycardia (heart rate up to 170 beats per min) and no great fluctuation of heart rate, 37 to 90 bpm. I've also been taking magnesium, 400 mg or more per day. I've read of hypomagnesemia that has to do with the electrical firing of the heart. We'll see. I've been seeing a cardiologist, he is hinting at a pacemaker, which I would not like at all. We'll see. My heart seems to be behaving itself for the last three weeks now. I have gone into a clinic and had two IVs of magnesium as well. I'm 82. I have been a professional athlete, I am now way out of shape but have begun to correct that. Good luck, and God be both you and me."

For Dietary Supplementation "I started taking CoQ10 since my gastroenterologist recommended it. I started taking it after I did my research, and my vision is better, little to no migraines, muscles don't ache as much, and it has helped my extreme fatigue. I also have water retention and struggle with high glucose, it has helped both issues. I'm taking 100 mg now, but I'm going to up the mg to 200 mg."

For Dietary Supplementation "I was experiencing muscle weakness badly, and my cardiac doctor told me to take this. Within 72 hours, all pain had stopped. I highly recommend CoQ10 with ubiquinol, because I take statins. My doctor said I needed CoQ10."

For Dietary Supplementation "So far, this CoQ10 has really worked in preventing my horrible migraines. In combination with taking it with multi B vitamins, magnesium, and butterbur, I have gone from having 20 migraines to 3 or less a month - depends on the weather. I was skeptical, but the combination really works and the doctor recommended it. Just try it."

For Dietary Supplementation "This supplement made me very lightheaded and my legs weak. I took 1 tab of 100 mg in the morning, and by afternoon these side effects happened. Could not find anything online where anyone else had this happen. Will not take it again."

For Dietary Supplementation "I purchased HEB's CoQ-10 100 mg soft gels. I noticed I was feeling jittery and nervous and was not able to sleep most of the night. At first, I didn't think it was the CoQ10 that was making me feel that way. The next day, I took it again, just one pill 100 mg, and I happened to have a doctor's appointment on the same day where they found my blood pressure was 148/76. I've never had blood pressure that high, in fact, I usually run a low blood pressure of around 100/66 or so. When I went home, I realized it must have been the CoQ10 after looking up in Google, some side effects other people were having were similar to mine. I stopped taking it, and the next day my blood pressure was back to normal. In the meantime, my doctor wants me to check my blood pressure twice a day for a whole month and see her again to see if I am developing hypertension."

For Dietary Supplementation "I had taken this religiously 10 years ago at fairly high doses. It really gave me energy. Older now, having developed a lot of sensitivities, I tried it again for fatigue and found it actually made me more tired and dizzy. I stopped the supplement and got better, then tried it again and had the same symptoms. A powerful lesson for me that supplements can have very different effects on different people depending on their physiology."

For Dietary Supplementation "I have had chronic fatigue syndrome for 30 years and have read many times over the years that some people are helped with their energy level by taking CoQ10. However, I knew about the possibility of it lowering blood pressure, and since mine is already low, I didn't try it. Recently, I decided I would try Ubiquinol, which is the active form of CoQ10. Although 200 mg daily was recommended, I am very sensitive to any meds, so I started with 100 mg daily. Within 3 days, I did think my energy was a bit better, but I also developed a raised, itchy rash on my waist. Not thinking it would be from the Ubiquinol, I continued taking it for another 10 days. The rash spread, and I then looked up possible side effects of Ubiquinol. Bingo - rash is listed. I stopped taking it and hope that the rash goes away soon."

For Dietary Supplementation "I took this supplement a while back with hope that it would help me with my migraines, I would have them for weeks at a time. So I took 200 mg every day. I don't recall if I took it with or without food, but I definitely took it during the day for at least a month. By the time I met with a neurologist, my migraines were almost gone. He told me to stop taking it as he didn't know enough about it, so I did. But nothing has worked so well since, so now I'm going back on. I believe that studies have been updated well enough. :-)"

For Dietary Supplementation "After doing some reading, I decided on my own to try ubiquinol since I am on a statin. My own cardiologist does not feel there’s any merit in this supplement. I took one name brand 100 mg soft gel capsule the first morning. The next morning, I woke up with nausea and elevated blood pressure. I vomited numerous times that morning, and the nausea and vomiting continued later into the evening. Not knowing if this was caused by the ubiquinol, I later discovered on the internet that these side effects have been the experience of others taking this supplement. Needless to say, I won’t be trying this again any time soon."

For Dietary Supplementation "CoQ10 was recommended by a holistic health doctor who told me to take 200 mg. I am 69 years old and have always been sensitive to meds and some supplements, so I started with 50 mg of Blue Bonnet Ubiquinol. It seemed to give me some energy the first two days and lowered my blood pressure the first day (a good benefit), so I upped the dose to 100 mg. I then started getting a restless feeling and some anxiety. This is the second day on 100 mg, and it put me on the couch all day. My heart rate was high after I took it, got bad anxiety, and felt weak and fatigued. According to the Mayo Clinic website, these can all be side effects, so I will discontinue this. However, be forewarned that I read the half-life on this is 33 hours, meaning that in 33 hours, half the supplement is still in your body, and it can take up to 5 days to clear out."

For Dietary Supplementation "Bought a 30 mg dose, the smallest I could find. They say to try the smallest dose if you are starting something new. I took mine after a heavy breakfast, which usually makes me sleepy. After just 10 minutes, I felt my heart rate speed up, like a panic attack was coming. I had a little bit of difficulty breathing, as if I was catching my breath from a quick run. I thought it worked like a vitamin, not like an adrenaline injection! Good thing I started with the lowest dose. Scary experience, not sure if I want to take another dose (this was recommended by my doctor for better sperm quality). Stuff works, for sure, but safety? I don't know, man. I'm giving an overall 5/10."

For Dietary Supplementation "I started taking CoQ10 because I heard it was important to take it if you were taking a statin. I started feeling very tired and had severe diarrhea lasting for hours. I don't know if it would do anything for my heart, liver, or my migraines because I can't tolerate it."

For Dietary Supplementation "I tried it once because my daughter highly recommended it. After a few minutes, I got 2 bouts of diarrhea, cold hands, and lightheadedness. I ignored the symptoms, and they went away. Then that night, I suddenly felt like passing out, so I checked my sugar level, and it went down to 59, which I had never experienced before with a full lunch. I am so devastated and weak, so I decided to stop the CoQ10. It is potentially bringing my sugar so low and making me pass out. I have to stop this vitamin. It is not working for me."

For Dietary Supplementation "I was prescribed this for a rare gene mutation, RYR1. Anyway, I began taking it and noticed I had very, very severe chest pains. I wanted to go to the hospital. I took the supplement again at night as directed, and the chest pain woke me up, then it was hurting all the next day. The only thing I could think of was me taking this supplement, so I stopped. It took a day and a half for the chest pain to go away, but it did. Been off this for a week and feel better. I don't know why it was causing such bad chest pain, but this was an awful experience. I threw it away, never again, this stuff is useless."

For Dietary Supplementation "I tried Qunol Ultra CoQ10 100 mg softgels from Costco and had a fairly severe reaction. It triggered (what appeared to be) psoriasis/rash that appeared on my face, arms, and legs. It moved toward my eyebrows, into my eyelids, and beyond (which worried me the most). The Costco food demonstrator that had originally convinced me to make the purchase was agitated when I came back weeks later, telling her about the reaction (I believe she told me that she worked for the company itself, but I may be wrong about that). She insisted that any (negative) reaction is impossible. I allowed myself to be convinced to buy the CoQ10 because I was told that it would enhance the supplements I was already taking...and maybe that's true? I mean, I was taking krill, fish oil, multivitamins, etc. If CoQ10 actually enhances supplements, maybe that in itself can cause an adverse reaction. Has anyone else experienced this?"

For Dietary Supplementation "I started taking this to lower my blood pressure. It worked! It was so effective that I didn't need to combine it with my blood pressure medication. Taking both lowered it too much to where I felt dizzy and lightheaded, so I ditched the blood pressure meds. I've been rejuvenated ever since! My recommendation is to take it early in the morning."

For Dietary Supplementation "I'm taking CoQ10 for metabolic support, to prevent migraines and heart disease. Doing well, helping reduce debilitating migraines; had to reduce the dose from 400 to 200 after a series of other medical issues to manage blood pressure... It just doesn't take as much as it used to for my body to achieve the optimal effect for my heart health."

For Dietary Supplementation "I am a heart patient since 5 years and implanted pacemaker since 1 year. I decided to try Coenzyme Q10 for heart health and immunity, etc. I have normal BP 140/70 and sugar under control up to 150 units. My doctor said it is a waste since it does nothing. Good reviews are posted by their own people or promoters. I took it for 5 days. Believe me, I was driven to the ground on the 4th day. My BP went down to 90/60 and my sugar came down to 90. I was dizzy, fainting, and had all sorts of breathing issues and fatigue, cold sweats. My heart was stopping and skipping, etc. I threw the bottle out in my trash bin and I'm back to normal now. Wonder why it is not launched in pharmacies if it was so good. Guys, don't get deceived by the reviews and posts. Don't ever take CoQ10. How can these money-greedy donkeys introduce something that can destroy you? Please pass it on to all you know, and if possible, to WHO and other medical control facilities. Thanks."
