For Dermatitis "My quality of life before my Dermatologist gave me this drug was HORRIBLE! I was teased as a child, skin was so ugly, and I was told that I looked like the exorcist and elephant man combined. I went through 15 years of, supposedly, the best doctors on the East coast until this wonderful man of a Dermatologist introduced me to the Wonder drug! Kenalog has made me extremely happy with the results I've seen!"

For Dermatitis "I would never recommend kenalog. Went to doctor with chemical burns and doctor gave me extended release kenalog injection after prednisone . I broke out in hives and welts. l had horrible, intensely frightening thoughts, anxiety and depression for 18 months. Every d ay was a nighmare."

For Lupus "I was in such pain from the multiple autoimmune diseases I have. When asked about my pain scale at my rheumatologist I said I had passed stage 10 ages ago. I literally didn't want to move, I hurt everywhere. My doctor said we would try kenalog 40. I was so incredibly pleased. I got fairly quick relief, and in several days was moving normally. I had no side effects I am aware of. This so far had been a success story for me. I had my 90 days shot a couple of weeks ago."

For Gouty Arthritis "This is the worst treatment I have ever received. I have had mild hypertension over the years and actually had high pressure the day I received the shot for gout. The gout pain went away within hours, however 2 days after I had an anxiety attack (which I thought was a heart attack) and ended up in the ER. I have had anxiety attacks at night, sleeplessness, heart palpitations, irregular heartbeat, fatigue and dizziness. After about 3 1/2 weeks the side effects have started to go away. Of I could give this a 0 review I would. I do not recommend."

For Lupus "Best drug ever! I only wish it lasted longer. I get 80 mg every 3 months in alternating butt cheeks. Takes about 24 hours the wow I'm suddenly able to move again. Not total pain loss of course but much much better. No side affects. I have severe joint pain all over so this is a miracle drug for me! At about 2 1/2 months pain starts to creep back in. I wish I could get it monthly but Dr says it really should be every 4 months but is willing to give it to me every 3 months. I highly recommend!"

"35F, Started 2019 (4 years). I have a torn hip labrum. First injections were 7/2019, lasted 5 months, then 1/2020, lasted over a year, then July 2021 lasted long enough for my hip to rehabilitate & not need another. Each shot disrupted my menstrual cycle. I would get my period 4-7 days after receiving the injection regardless of how recently I had just had it or if I currently had it. I also gained 10-15 lbs with each injection. May 2022, I didn't need it for my hip anymore, but now needed it for my back. I figured I would try it since it helped my hip so much. I have a herniated L5-S1, I received bilateral epidural injections. It didn't help AT ALL. I ended up in the ER a week later because I couldn't sit up/stand/walk straight. It never kicked in or worked. 2023 tried again in SI joint, lasted 2 weeks. Bled for 2 months. Won't try again. Gained weight of 50 lbs overall in 3 years from this. It worked for my hip but not for my spine."

For Asthma "I had hay fever with extreme itchy eyes while in New Zealand. The doctor gave me a 40mg shot of Kenacort. Within a couple of days, my symptoms cleared, and for 2 years, I was allergy free of any hay fever or asthma.(that included both in US and NZ through their spring seasons). I repeated another injection which lasted close to 2 years. I will be asking my doctor in the US to give me an injection this coming spring. It sure beats nose sprays, inhalers, eye drops, and getting a bloody nose from steroid nose sprays. I had no side effects from the injection either time, accept feeling quite good the first 24 hours. And even better when all my symptoms went away."

For Bursitis "I have Crow's feet tendonitis and this med was bad. It didn’t help with my condition at all. I suddenly have hot flashes, insomnia, heart palpitations, chest pain, and dizziness. I also had hallucinations that I had fleas and scratching myself in the days after. It has affected my vision and speech."

For Keloids "It worked for me for the moment. I got injected for over a year and the keloids got red and came back bigger. I got a big one on my chest and 3 on my back. And now when I get a pimple or a small scratch they turned to keloids after years later with no injections . I guess since it's in my body the scars turned red and now getting bigger and these 2 new ones were ,Never injected. It sucks I'm 36 and they don't stop growing."

For Osteoarthritis "The second injection in the shoulder had completely different results. No shoulder pain but it increases intercostal muscle pain, back pain, abdomen pain, and leg spasticity from multiple sclerosis. The doctor was unaware of these documented potential side effects, and offered no help. Bad doctor, worse drug."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I'm a 24 year old female and have had RA since I was 8 years old. I had 80mg IM injection in December and within 24 hours my face was red and burning. 5 months later I am still suffering the horrible side effects of this. I constantly have hot flushes, nausea, irregular menstrual cycles, unwanted hair growth. I have no idea if and when these symptoms will subside and completely regret taking it. With regards to my joint information it has eased the pain but I still have residual swelling. My fatigue has also worsened since the injection."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I had a shoulder injection for chronic pain the next day I went into horrible AFib which lasted 10 days, 2 days after the injection I developed severe headaches with pain behind my left eye then I got so fatigued and could not do anything. I'm still feeling bad 11 days after the injection. My Dr. said these are all side effects of Kenalog I would have refused the injection if I had known of these side effects. I have had other injections for lower back etc and never had this reaction."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I get a intramuscular injection of Kenalog 40 in my right shoulder to relieve psoriatic arthritis . The medication works within 2-4 days. It reduces pain from 8/10 to 3/10, The medication seems to be distributed by my blood stream. The rest of my entire body feel the results of the medication also."

For Allergic Reactions "I have used it for almost 8 years. I take one almost every month for treating a chronic skin disease, but it is unfortunate that recently I have been experiencing frequent urination at night, loss of weight. Yet the skin rash keeps on coming on a monthly interval after administration. I have observed unstable blood sugar. I can say that it works effectively for just a month interval."

For Sarcoidosis "For the last three years I have had lower back pain that went down into both right and left buttocks and into my right hip. I was finally referred to radiology dept. and they gave me an injection into both SI joints. After three days the constant pain and spasms went away that were in my lower back and that went down into buttocks and into hip. It was absolutely wonderful to be able to sleep, walk without limping and hurting and my attitude and energy level became more positive. To be rid of the constant chronic pain that never went away, day and night, was a blessing! The injection has lasted 1 1/2 months and now I am starting to hurt again. I would recommend an injection for pain."

For Allergic Reactions "I have been suffering from chronic seasonal rhinitis for more than six years. I was taking every prescription antihistamine available from my GP. Fexofenadine 180 mg x 4 daily and Mometasone x 4 daily. I would sneeze a hundred times a day during really bad episodes. I called them nuclear days. Kenalog comes with a lot of warnings, but for me the need was greater than the risk. Kenalog changed my life. My mental health improved. I was able to go for a walk in sunlight whilst someone was mowing their lawn! I had a lot of anxiety about Kenalog. Not anymore. This drug changed my life."

For Lupus "I have used Kenalog for my lupus. It has helped tremendously without all the side effects. My flares are less frequent and pain is minimal. I can function again. My only problem was I was getting them in my arms and it caused a loss of muscle. I switched injection sites between my butt and arms, so I'm not getting them in the same location all the time."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I've been getting injections in my bilateral SI's (low back) due to nerve pain from herniated discs in my lower back. For at least 3 years, every 6 weeks. They have been tremendously helpful, or so I thought. I'm currently having to treat with a specialist (endocrinologist) for focus on my extremely low cortisol and ACTH levels. I had no idea that this was even a possibility. Not sure how to even move forward at this point. I have no idea what other options I have. Very scared."

For Psoriasis "Kenalog has changed my life. I have hand psoriasis and for years tried every topical prescription steroid and treatment out there, to no avail. The very first time I had a few Kenalog injections in my hand, the skin cracks healed, the plaques thinned and my hands were normal again. Miraculous. In addition I had severe hip bursitis and kenalog allowed me to continue walking up and down the 15 stairs in my home without issue. After a few months it needs to be reinjected but I t’s an absolute life changer for me."

For Iritis "Chronic uveitis/iritis. Several drops and pills and injections later, the one thing that shows marked decrease between flares for me is this stupid kenalog injection. I would rather do anything that get injections in my eye! They're miserable for a few days afterwards. Not great for active mom of toddler. Want to burry my head in silence, darkness for three days. HOWEVER, I have basically been in a two year long flare, this injection has given me quieter days with my fickle illness. Saved my sight. Lasts about 3 months during rough goes and 8 months during good times. So they say."

For Inflammatory Conditions "Years ago I fell and broke my hand and have a tear in my rotator cuff. My hand healed fine, but for years I have pain in my shoulder. My physical therapist helped me gain my motion back. The shoulder is still painful so at least twice a year I need to get Kenalog-40 injections for pain. Thank God the only side effect I have is, around 4 days after my face gets red and hot for 2 days. I have a sensitive stomach and unable to take Aleve, Aspirin etc. so between physical therapy and this injection my life is back."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I lost my sense of smell several years ago due to chronic sinusitis. In March 2017, I had a shot of Kenalog in my right hip, resulting in the restoration of my sense of smell. It was wonderful, but short-lived. The shot lasted 3 months, and my ENT will only give it once a year due to the chance of necrosis. I had my 2nd shot in mid April (almost 2 weeks ago) and unfortunately, my sense of smell did not return. Hoping that it will come back again."
