For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I was diagnosed 2 years ago with PH (Pulmonary Hypertension), and failed several drugs. I would have severe edema, nausea, anemia, and now that I have been on Tyvaso for 1 mo., the change in my breathing is remarkable. It has worked better for me than any drug I've tried. I take Adcirca and Tyvaso, and I'm doing very well on them. My Tyvaso is covered by Medicare Part B and my supplement. I have no out-of-pocket expenses."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I’ve been taking Tyvaso for 8 weeks now and see no improvement in my breathing at all. In fact, I believe my condition, which was stable prior to starting Tyvaso, had worsened with Tyvaso. For such a costly medication, I would at least expect to see some improvement. Very disappointed."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "My wife has pulmonary arterial hypertension along with COPD and lung cancer. The results of my wife using Tyvaso were truly remarkable. She showed improvements in a very short time frame. She has progressed to 9 puffs 4 times a day. She has had very light side effects, i.e., sore throat and mild cough during treatments. The sore throats have diminished drastically when rinsing and gargling with warm tap water between puffs and after treatments. The coughing is mild and only presents during treatment. The positive results were noticeable as early as 6 weeks and have been amazing. She looks and feels better than she has in a year. Her stamina has increased by approximately 25%. Tyvaso has given our family hope and the strength to fight her other major health problems! Thank you!"

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "My dad had pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, and heart disease. This medication helped him breathe easier, let me get him out of the house more, and I am so thankful this was available to us. Although during hospital stays, I had to clean and change the medication and machine each day, as none of the respiratory therapists had seen or used the medication before. I know this medication helped me to have my dad longer than I would have without it."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I have been using Tyvaso for 4 months, the first three, I saw no improvement. Now I do feel a little better, but not much. I live 5 short blocks away from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and I have to sit down for a few minutes each block to catch my breath. Yesterday, it took me 40 minutes to go a quarter mile. Even walking upstairs is hard for me. I just don't know what to do."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I have been on Tyvaso for a little over a year now, and like one of the users said, 9 breaths was too much for me. I stay somewhere between 5 to 7 breaths, and it does wonders for me. However, I can't always find the time to get to the treatment 4 times per day. I also take Adcirca and Letairis. Among the three pulmonary hypertension (PH) meds, I think that the Tyvaso has the ability to be the best of them. I just wish I could focus enough every day to take 4 per day. Anyone knows anything helpful, please comment. Y’all have a good day and good luck to all with your PH."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I'm taking Tyvaso along with Revatio. I'm on 6 breaths 4 times a day. It has worked miracles for me. Just the side effects when going up on the amount of puffs is terrible, it makes me really dizzy and fatigued. Also, the cough, sore throat, along with body aches, is a bit uncomfortable. But I guess the benefits outweigh the side effects."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I have been taking Tyvaso for approximately 6 months now and haven't had any adverse effects. There are side effects of the medicine, of course, which include cough, sore throat, hoarseness, and occasional headaches and muscle ache, but overall it is worth it for me."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "Ease of use is cumbersome, and there has to be a better way. I am at a loss as side effects are face swelling, back pain. Learning the treatment is 29 thousand a month, the only one benefiting is United Therapeutics."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "My boyfriend had severe pulmonary arterial hypertension. This medicine helped him very much. The only real problem is some of the side effects, grumpy, but personally, they are worth it. He will hopefully be around for a few more years."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I’ve been taking Tyvaso for almost a year now. I notice a change in my breathing and energy levels after about 3-4 months of usage. I have more energy to do things that would have normally tired me after 5-10 mins of movement. My shortness of breath has decreased, and now I’m able to walk up 14 steps without feeling short-winded and fatigued. My only complaint is the diarrhea that’s reoccurring, it’s so irritating."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I have PAH in the later stages, this medicine has improved my breathing with the other medicines I am taking. My 6-minute walk test improved also. The only problem is the sore throat from coughing after using it."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "The doctors in my area had given me two months at the most. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital on the verge of death, unable to breathe, kidneys shutting down. When I got there, it was not looking good for me. They diagnosed me with pulmonary hypertension and started me on Remodulin intravenously, which had to be increased gradually over a period of six weeks. The symptoms were pretty bad, usually after an increase, which was done every two days. But I started improving after a couple of weeks, I was totally off of the oxygen, and the cough I had for almost a year went away. Before leaving the hospital, I had to learn how to mix the Remodulin and how to change the pump-something I have to do every other day. It's compact, it is just always attached to me. However, by wearing coveralls to conceal the tubing and keeping it in my pocket, I have been able to return to work. I feel so much better, occasionally have trouble sleeping, but not a lot of side effects."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I have been on IV Remodulin for just over a year, and it has totally saved my life. My side effects include bone and joint pain, jaw pain with my first bite of food (it’s very weird), and itching/rashes. About 10 months into my treatment, I experienced breathing problems due to faulty cassettes (I mix my medicine every two days), which lasted about 3 months until the supply company finally put out a recall on the products. I am very cautious with every cassette and tubing line I use because now I am not trusting they will work properly. Since the recall, I feel wonderful and breathe well."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "Well, I tried Remodulin for 1.5 years and tried real hard to stay on it. The side effects I had were pain throughout my body, which became intolerable, i.e., jaw pain, headaches, total pretty much everything. I am sure this medication will work for some, but definitely need to be aware this is no joke on the side effects. When they say a lil diarrhea, this is a very much under-exaggeration. Just FYI, you've been warned. Best of luck on your journey."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I was diagnosed with severe pulmonary hypertension. And that's when I found out the right side of my heart was also extremely enlarged. That was about a year ago. So I've been on Remodulin, and yes, all of the possible side effects have happened. I've had to adjust my whole life because of the side effects, but I'm alive today, almost a year later, and I'm able to breathe and very rarely have any dizzy attacks. I was shown to put my site on my stomach, which worked for a while, but I had to change up my sites and had to try my thigh. I've found that with a tubular bandage holding my pump and site to my leg, I don't have so many issues with snagging my tubing and not so many bad site reactions like I had on my belly-no blisters, and swelling isn't so bad at all. I still have to deal with pain for a week after moving the site, but after that, it's way more manageable. As long as I have the pump right by the site under the bandage, there's no snagging, and it's almost like it's not there until it's time to be filled-beep, beep, beep. But much better."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I found it to have horrible side effects that caused me to have to take several other meds to deal with the side effects, i.e., jaw pain, nerve pain in legs, site pain, migraines, dizziness, nausea, confusion, and depression. I did find my chronic cough was almost completely gone, and I was starting to be able to walk further. I stopped after 1 month because the side effects were unbearable."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I take this Remodulin subQ, and it has greatly increased my breathing. I lost weight, and I have a little diarrhea. I have no appetite. Headaches can be painful when titrating. Site pain is there until it falls asleep. Generally, it takes 7 days once a new port is put in place. You change out every 6 weeks or longer or shorter. I suggest good pain management for the bad week (the 7 days waiting on the site to go to sleep). Gabapentin with Acetaminophen-Hydrocodone cut my hell week to 4 days. With improvement, I'll be able to take the pill form, I hope. I hear the IV version is not painful as subQ."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I have been on Orenitram for PAH for 2 years now and have started getting severe migraines at night, usually around 11 p.m. I had long COVID for over a month. Is this a side effect of this medication? I did not take it on two different nights and had no migraine. I am wondering what can cause this to happen, as I have had no other medication changes."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I switched from subcutaneous Remodulin to Orenitram tablets about 9 months ago. It has been a very rough road. Consistent headaches, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. I can barely leave my house anymore due to the side effects of this medication. Nothing I've tried has worked to alleviate the side effects. Sleeping is the only thing that makes me feel better but that doesn't help 100% of the time. Aside from the side effects, I am happy with this medication. It has truly worked well for me. It took a little while to build up in my system, but now I have very little shortness of breath. I would be interested in staying on this long term if the side effects could be under control."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "I've been taking Tyvaso for about 7-8 years. It works well with my condition. In the beginning, I was taking 4 puffs/4 times a day, that's now increased to 6 puffs. The additional puffs are during bedtime when I'm awakening because my heart is beating harder and sometimes racing. On average, it lasts about 3 hours strong in my body, by the 4th hour (close to the next dosage), I'm feeling tired and drained."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "Been on Tyvaso for 3 years. It has improved my PH significantly, 10 to 12 puffs a sitting. Always made me cough, but recently the cough has gotten worse. Not going to stop, just take fewer puffs."

For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension "Been taking TYVASO for 2 years and I'm up to 18 breaths. The only big downside is it only lasts about 3 hours instead of 4. I hopefully will be switching to the TYVASO DPI."
