"I had a different experience than others. I used Tioconazole 1, and after 15 minutes, it started to burn. Not too bad, but it’s definitely uncomfortable. After like an hour, the burning starts to go away, and you don’t feel your symptoms as much as before. I think it’s a good product for the most part!"

"Started this on a Wednesday. Yes, it tingled, but if you're having an active yeast infection, this is nothing comparable. After about an hour, it stopped. Plus, I'd rather have this pain for a little while than to live with an infection for weeks. It's the 5th day after insertion, and I feel like it's 80% gone. I'll know by Wednesday and check down there again."

"I’m surprised so many people had such negative reviews. Yes, it burned and itched a bit worse when I put it in. But to me, that just means it’s working like peroxide on a cut. This morning I woke up, and it feels 99% better. I think it takes another day or so to clear completely, but this is way better than the old days with the 7 days of slime!"

"In the past, I did home care (no sugar/low carb, probiotics, eating garlic, etc., because it’s free), but I thought I’d catch this early. Twenty-four hours in, I have mild burning but less itching. Brief sinus headache, went away quickly. After a few hours, I was surprised at how sensitive my labia felt. I went to the bathroom and saw my inner labia more swollen than ever! If I’d started having worse-looking discharge/swelling, I’d go to urgency. Today is still swollen but no agony, milder yeast symptoms, no discharge. Hope I’m in the clear, will update if it takes a turn. My “new friend” picked this up, I forgot to specify the dose. Nothing stronger than 3 in the future. I might just try more home care. Even if this works, because of the swelling, I won’t be having sex any faster than if I’d starved the yeast out on my own. Sorry to everyone this drug harmed! I don’t know how long the swelling will take, good luck, folks."

"So I put it in about 30 minutes ago. One minute after I put it in, INTENSE itching! I’m not even kidding, it’s so bad that I want to go to the bath and try to get it all out. Hope this is worth all the itching and burning."

"I woke up yesterday with pain near the opening of my vagina and my vulva. I had gone to a water park the other day and spent much of the day in damp, tight clothes. I’m prone to UTIs and occasional yeast infections, so I wasn’t surprised. I had a yeast infection once before, about six months ago, that I treated at home. I used Monistat 7 days because reviews said the 1 day burned really bad. The Monistat did clear it up, but it took about 3 days to feel relief, and even the 7 day treatment burned, BAD, and the itching was unbearable. Today, I picked up the CVS brand, and as I’m traveling and didn’t want to go through the same misery I went through with the last yeast infection, I opted for the 1 day treatment. I’m a cheapo, so if I find a comparable product for less, with the same active ingredients, I’m going to buy that one. So I bought the CVS brand, came home and inserted the product and no itching, no burning."

"This stuff is horrible. I was looking for Monistat, but unfortunately, the store had run out. I got this instead, inserted the medication into my vagina, and laid down. I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible itching and burning. I ignored it the best I could and went back to bed after it eased a little. I just woke up, and the opening and surrounding area to my vagina is swollen sooooooo bad. I sat up and could literally just feel how swollen it was. I had el hubby check everything out down there. He said it is swollen really bad. The worst part, and I have never had an STD, still don’t as I have only been with the same partner for three years. My vagina literally smells like... chemical? Chemical burn maybe! I’m not sure. It smells like someone dumped a bottle of chemicals into my vagina. It most definitely isn’t any kind of 'natural smell.' This smell literally just smells like straight-up chemicals! Do not use this product!"

"I have a yeast infection and decided to get Tioconazole 1 Day instead of the other 3 or 7-day options. And man, I'm regretting it. Just a few minutes after using it, I had unbearable burning and itching. It hurt so bad. I tried my best to shower it out, and it helped a bit, but not a lot. I wish I had read the reviews first. I'm not ever going to purchase it again."

"I usually use the Monistat 3-day ovules and experience fast, painless relief. One time, when I didn’t feel like doing all that for 3 days straight, I tried the Monistat 1-day ovule (miconazole 1200 mg), and OH MY GOD. NO. Swollen, swollen, swollen to the point where I could barely walk. So this time around, and after some research, I decided to use the other antifungal, Tioconazole! I was nervous to do the 1-day, but I noticed the dosage was mild, which to me meant different ingredients, same result with less drama. AMEN. I’ve been feeling a tingling/burning sensation inside my vagina, but it’s nothing unbearable. Like on a scale of 1-10 for discomfort, 1. I showered with just hot water before inserting the medicine, and I have on panties with a liner. So far, it’s been about 2 hours, and all is good."

"Did experience slight burning for about an hour, but after that, I was able to get a good night's rest. This is the day after I've taken it, and other than the discharge, everything is fine. Make sure to wear a pad or panty liner. Very happy with this product. I bought the CVS brand for 1 day."

"I used this cream, and let me tell you, WORST DECISION I’VE MADE! I inserted the applicator, and no less than 30 minutes in, it felt like the medication only fueled the yeast infection. My lady parts were swollen and itching worse than it was before I even used the product. Monistat is waaaaaay better, in my opinion. This product just didn’t do it for me at all. It may affect someone else totally opposite of my experience, but I would never use it again."

"I was on day 5 of the itching, and although I was feeling a little better, I decided to use this to just knock it out, and WOW did I make a HUGE MISTAKE. I woke up in the middle of the night burning and itching so badly I was considering going to the ER! I was in tears, it was so bad! The YI ended up lasting 4 more days, and I now know to never, ever buy OTC medication for this particular problem ever again."

"I used Tioconazole 1 Day treatment because it is reported to have a better effect against the yeast infection than miconazole. I experienced absolutely no discomfort or problems and found my yeast infection to be quite cleared up by the medication. I would recommend the medication to others based on my favorable experience."

"I have had several YIs before, have used the 7 and 3-day kits (active ingredient Miconazole) and have taken the Diflucan prescribed by a doctor. All four treatments gave some discomfort and itching. The 7 and 3-day kits and prescription took too long, and I would itch myself and cause even more discomfort and swelling to myself. I picked up the one-day Tioconazole (6.5%) for my most recent YI. The first few hours of application, the itching did worsen, however, I did not experience any burning. I found that reading a book and doing Sudoku kept my mind off the itching. Currently on the second day, and I only have a slight itch, 75% better than before I took the treatment and barely noticeable compared to the first few hours of treatment. The product does work, and while there is some discomfort, it beats waiting 3-7 days for relief."

"I, of course, took this medicine without reading the reviews, and sure enough, I got the horrible side effects a lot of women are saying on here: extreme vaginal swelling and discomfort. I immediately squeezed as much of this out of my vagina as I could, took some ibuprofen, and iced my lady bits. Why is this medication even being sold if so many people are having a nightmare of an experience? Never again! I’m hoping to not have to go to quick care tomorrow with this embarrassing symptom. I’m hoping it will feel better in the morning, as this woke me up at 1 AM."

"Should've read the comments first. They had it at the local grocery store. Should've gone out of my way and gone to the pharmacy. So much itching after I put the stuff in. Then when I woke up, the outside of my vagina was swollen and very tender. Don't buy this. Monistat works way better."

"I started noticing/questioning symptoms on Sunday, bought medication on Tuesday. Applied before bed, after laying down, with no intention of getting back up. I did not experience any of the misery that the others are posting, but have experienced it with antifungal sprays on my feet. I can't help but wonder if there is a correlation with the progression of the infection, perhaps if there is any broken skin or not? I would absolutely use this medication again without hesitation, even if it were to cause me some discomfort. It is worth it to get my lady bits back in check."

"Did not read any recommendations for this vs. Monistat. I wasn’t exactly sure I had a YI until after using this. It helped me so much. It gave me instant relief from the burning. However, it does leak out and pool in underwear, however, I advise using a panty liner."

"I used this tioconazole 1 day because it was a Sunday, and absolutely nothing was open. As soon as I put it in, I felt a little relief, but after that, I was getting mild stomach pain that might have been gas. I felt no burning, swelling, or excess itching. It stopped the itching the next day until it hit about 9 o’clock PM, and a good itch came back, but then it started to get bearable by 12 AM. I’m hoping it doesn’t take 7 days to heal. I would use it again if I couldn’t go to the doctor for Diflucan."

"Anytime I have to take strong antibiotics, I generally get a YI. I usually just do the 3-day treatment and opted to try 1 day just to see. *Sigh* Shortly after insertion, there was intense itching as I tried to go to sleep. The next day, I pushed out the remainder of the application, or so I thought. I spent the next day wiping and burning. No bueno. I'll just stick to 3 days."

"I get yeast infections very often and can’t spend 17 dollars every time, so I got the knockoff tioconazole. I inserted it and didn't experience any burning or itching, but now I woke up around 5:30, and I can feel my vag is swollen. I know the product works, though, and I’d rather deal with this for a day than have a week of infection."

"I inserted this last night, and I woke up with a warm, fuzzy feeling and a little bit of an itch. I wanted to read reviews to see if it was effective, and I didn't experience the burning sensation. Although the itching is still mildly present. I had originally noticed symptoms about 3 days ago and only inserted it last night. I used the off-brand CVS version 'Tioconazole Ointment 6.5%', 1 dose."

"I used the generic Monistat 1 (tioconazole), and for the first few hours it was great-no burning, and I fell asleep quickly. A few hours later, I woke up absolutely dying. It burned so much, and my vulvar lips were so swollen (HUGE!), so red and visibly irritated. I had to use an ice pack to help decrease some of the pain. I left the ointment in because I figured I already suffered this much, I might as well let it do its job. By the time I woke up, though, the swelling had gone down considerably, no more burning, and my yeast infection felt 90% better (I'm still using the topical miconazole from a previous package to help with the mild residual itch). So even though it's a few hours of literal torture and you will lose sleep, it did work well."

"I picked this up after a few days of mild itching, no smelly discharge or anything too crazy. I inserted it, and within 5 minutes, it began to burn and itch. It is currently 4 AM, and I have been awake for the last 3 hours tossing and turning. I went to the bathroom and looked at what was going on down there, and my outer labia is puffy and red. I had to pee, hoping it would make it better, but no luck. The stuff came out along with some discharge. I do not recommend, my symptoms are worse than before!!"

"It works. Everyone saying that it's crazy painful or itchy clearly has a more severe infection than I had. Mine was mild, and using this cleared it up within a day, with only a little extra itching after insertion, which only lasted a few hours. If you have a really bad YI, just go to a doctor. If it's mild, this will help."
