For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I just found out I was pregnant, and it seems like it instantly threw off my hormones. My vagina was red, it was hurting, so I figured I had a YI. I called the nurse, and she prescribed the terconazole cream 0.4 for 7 days. I normally take the fluconazole pill, and that normally works for me. The 1st day my vag was on fire. I literally had to force myself to sleep because the pain was intense. 2nd day, I was on fire as well, but not that bad. 3rd day, I was okay. 4th day, also my vagina isn't red anymore, so far it's working. I just wear a panty liner to bed because it's messy."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don't know if the suppository works or not because I'm too tender to use the insert. The plunger is sharp and pointy and not like a tampon at all. I'm already extremely uncomfortable, and there is no way this thing is going in me. This must have been made by a man. I feel like I'm cutting myself and can't get the plunger in deep enough to get the cream to where it needs to be to work."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Not sure why some patients had bad reviews about this cream, it has worked perfectly fine with me for years. Maybe some of y'all just had an allergic reaction to terconazole and should ask your doctor to recommend something else."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had the worst yeast infection I’ve ever had, and was prescribed one fluconazole pill and 3 days of terconazole cream. The first night of cream was a little uncomfortable, but any of the ones I’ve taken cause some discomfort at first, so I didn’t mind. After the second application, I was excited when I woke up the next day because I felt great and knew I only had one more day of treatment. Well, the day after my 3rd dose, I was feeling so itchy, and I thought maybe it was the panty liner I had been wearing, but nope, this stuff made my YI WORSE! I’m so itchy and burning now, and have to wait through the weekend to call the doctor. Not to mention, a lot of the cream spilled out of the tube uncontrollably!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This ointment was prescribed to me for vaginal itching. I put a small amount on the spot, and wow, the burning pain it caused! I put it on last night around 8:30 PM, and it's STILL burning right now, at 2:15 PM the next afternoon. HORRIBLE. Will never use this again! I barely slept last night from the pain. Washed the area with soap, water, body wash, etc., and nothing is taking the burning sensation away."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Was prescribed the seven-day cream after Diflucan was ineffective. After about the third day, I noticed my discharge returning to normal, but my vulva began feeling extremely irritated and sensitive to touch (I did not experience this prior to using the cream). Thought maybe the yeast or some other pathogen was still present, so I rang to the gyn. Surprisingly, my swab came back negative for all species of Candida, BV, etc. Turns out that though the terconazole completely wiped out the yeast, it gave me dermatitis on my vulva! Definitely be mindful of this if you are super sensitive down there."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was diagnosed with a YI 3 weeks ago. They gave me a pill to take. I took it! It was gone. Then, last week, it returned. I went to my doc, he told me I couldn’t take the pill again because I built a tolerance to the pill, so he prescribed me terconazole. The first night, I inserted while laying on my back on my cold, tiled bathroom floor. Seconds later, I felt a difference with itching, it was worse than a regular YI. Day two was about the same itching and burning, but I could sleep. DAY THREE. I’m on the same cold bathroom floor, anticipating the end of the horrid infection. I inserted. The last batch, I’m feeling hopeful. Positive almost, that this is the light at the end of a dark, DARK tunnel, BUT THEN, seconds later, it starts THE WORST PAIN IN MY LIFE, suddenly, the burning and itching were way worse than ever before. There were squirrels in my pants. Moral of the story: never again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Developed life-threatening reaction after 4 days, selling of face, shortness of breath, plus other complicated issues. 2 years later, I am reaching out to other women. Please think twice before it is used."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My symptoms were an annoying itch that came and went but were, for the most part, bearable when I took things like Azo (over the counter) and Advil. The first night I took this, I woke up with a worse itch that I sat up crying for hours, trying everything to stop it. I flushed out the medicine and later felt relief. Won’t be finishing the 3-day treatment and asking my doctor for Diflucan pill, which helps. Second time I’ve had a bad reaction to creams that require insertion. Never again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, I was given Terazol 0.4%. Took before bed (around 9 PM) and woke up with pain at 4 AM. My poor lady parts burned so bad. Took a shower - tried to push it all out. Waited on the couch with an ice pack between my legs till the doctor's office opened at 9 AM. The doctor told me that because I already took Diflucan, I didn’t need to continue with Terazol for the next 6 days - I might have been having an allergic reaction. Let me tell you, I am usually really good at dealing with pain ... but there was no way I could have done the entire 7-day treatment."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The only thing this did for me was make a very mild yeast infection worse. Prior to use, I had only slight, brief itching when something came in contact with that area. When I used the cream, the itching became constant and unbearable, with a slight burn. After I finished the 3-day treatment, the mild itching that I had before was still there. I used a home remedy of tea tree oil for a few days to calm my symptoms, and it seemed to clear up the problem. A year later, I got a much worse YI (thanks to a colon flush for a colonoscopy) with constant itching, burning, and discharge. It was unbearable. I was prescribed a single pill of Diflucan, and a topical cream to apply 2x a day. It took about 24 hours to start seeing symptoms fade, but after only 2 days, the discharge is gone and itching only at night. I know which prescription I’ll ask for if I get another YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was prescribed this cream as an insert to use for 3 days. It is very, very messy. The second I put it in, it would start to fall out. They only give you one applicator, which you have to keep cleaning, kind of annoying. I didn’t really have any side effects when I was using this, not any that I even noticed anyways. Don’t let scary reviews give you doubt, I’m sure this helps some people! I thought this was the fix to my issue, but unfortunately not. As soon as my dosage was over, the pain started up again... Now I am on tablet form of ketoconazole. Maybe this will knock out whatever is ripping apart my insides :("

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Came down with my first YI at 26 weeks pregnant. Doctor prescribed me terconazole 0.4% cream for 7 days. Just took 2nd treatment, and so far, so good. Didn't have itching or burning before the cream, so can't speak to it alleviating that, but it does seem to be flushing out the infection. I did get nauseous for a few hours after I used it for the first night, but it's gone away now."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got a yeast infection after having sex. The Dr. prescribed me Terconazole 0.4% (7 day treatment). At first, it felt great! It's been 6 days since I finished the treatment, but sadly, I still feel the burning and irritation feeling. Maybe I need a higher dose or try out the oral pills."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If I could give this a 0, I would because it made my first ever YI worse. It was VERY mild and intermittent, only itching if something touched that area. My Dr. confirmed a mild YI and prescribed a 3-day dose. Night 1 through the next day were great, and I thought it had already solved the problem. Night 2 in bed, it started to burn slightly, which it hadn't done before, was gone by the next morning, so I figured it was just aggressively working. My third treatment burned like the night before but continued to itch through the next day, all the way into the following morning when it just kept a burning sensation. I finally took the advice to put a drop of Tea Tree Essential Oil on a liner, and within minutes, the burning was gone. Waste of $20."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Went for my pap, and the gyn said I had a yeast infection, but it was only on the inside. I had no symptoms or discomfort, didn't even know I had one! She started me on the 3-day dose to nip it in the bud quick. Honestly, I am not really a fan. My lower abdomen and pelvis are bloated and very painful each use (on dose 2 of 3). Not to mention I feel disgusting because it leaks out, ew! My only advice is to eat yogurt, and if you have to use this product, you better be able to hold a kegel clench for a whole night unless you want it on your panties or bed."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The doctor gave me terconazole 0.8% for BV. I didn't feel comfortable taking it, but he swore it was safe to take. I have had so much swelling and excruciating cramp-like pains for 6 days now. I've been bedridden for 3 of those days. The nurse said it was a side effect of the med. I knew I should've followed my first mind. The nurse told me not to take anymore, I'm like, of course not, didn't need you to tell me that. Now this pain has jumped from my left side to my right side. I forgot to add, I'm 9 weeks with child. Although the med says not recommended for use by expectant mothers before 3 months, but goodness, this pain is like no other! Mother Earth has the best healing. I will seek this route and keep you posted."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve had a yeast infection for almost 3 months, none of the doctors I saw prescribed me anything that worked or even cared if it didn’t work for me. I’m so tired and annoyed of this. Not sure if terconazole cream is working for me, I’m on day 4, and there’s still some redness. HELP :("

Terconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a bad reaction to Monistat, so I went to see my OB/GYN. He gave me this medication, and so far I'm worse than I was before I started it. I'm swollen, red, itchy, and feel I'm on fire all the time. I can't walk or sit. After using this medication, I wake up several times through the night in pain and severe itching. I am not having any luck using it. I'm on night 3 of 7, but so far it's just getting worse. I should have just gone to the hospital and got the IV medication from them."

"Went to gynecologist with pain and some burning, diagnosed as yeast infection external vulva to anus. Put me on terconazole to apply externally over the whole area. Pain, itching, burning, 10 times worse than original symptoms. It happens to be a listed side effect. Also used up the little tube in 5 days, Dr. said 2 weeks, insurance won’t cover, as it is to be used vaginally and should last 2 weeks. I have to cover the entire external area only. Now I have to pay for this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE. I had a pretty bad yeast infection, so my OBGYN prescribed me this. It gave me horrible cramps and then a UTI!!! 100 times worse than the feeling of the YI. I read lots of reviews like this, but used the medicine anyway. Do not be like me! Read this and heed my warning! This shouldn't be prescribed to anyone. This was not an allergic reaction. It feels horrible, and I would take 100 yeast infections over this feeling now. Avoid this medication at all costs."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first YI (20 years old), and I was prescribed the three-day terconazole. It works well, yesterday was my last day (I still have some left I’m going to use tonight). I feel as though it is 100% cured. I would recommend it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was prescribed to use this terconazole for 3 nights in a row. The first night everything went fine, but the second night I tried to squeeze the cream in the tube and the top did not push up. So I removed the applicator from the tube of cream and all the cream spilled out. So now I have to call my doctor in the morning and start the process all over again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was prescribed the 3-day vaginal suppository, and immediately after the first dose, I was getting wipe after wipe after wipe of green, clumpy discharge. I have no other conditions or infections, so I was very weirded out by seeing it. I've never had that before. Scared to finish the rest of the 2 days. Anybody else have this happen? Should I continue? Will it stop?"

Terconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been getting recurrent YI for 4 years now. Usually, I can take a Diflucan and it's gone within days. Now I am currently 31 weeks pregnant with my second YI since I've been pregnant. The first time I had Monistat, and it burned so bad I washed it right out and let nature take its course. This time my doctor prescribed Terazol 7 cream, and it is the BEST. No burning, itching, or discomfort upon insertion!!!!"
