Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "Very strong but gentle. Box says wait 30 min to 6 hours. Found from personal experience that you don't take this unless you plan on staying home. It always took 2 hours to work for me, so once I took it and then ran some errands, expecting to be home in 45 minutes-plenty of time, of course (since it was the only time I ever took it and left home), it started working in 30 minutes as the box said. Once you feel a 'gurgling' feeling in your intestines, you better get to a bathroom. Fortunately, I was close to home but barely made it home since my insides had turned to water. Once it starts working, I have a few watery movements over 2 hours, then all is well. No cramping, tastes better if diluted with lots of cold water. Drink it as fast as you can."

Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "I have struggled with chronic constipation for years, unfortunately, ever since I was a child. Fleet enemas are a lifesaver for when I need some relief. They are easy to use, and for me, get most of the job done. I am rating it a 9/10 only because sometimes I still have some stool left inside me even after enema usage. However, I have problems with motility issues too, so I am pretty sure it is my body and not the enema causing that. One tip I have is to try and hold the enema in for as long as possible. I try for five minutes. When I started using enemas, I held in the solution for one minute and only initially expelled the clear fluid. The saline makes you feel like you really have to go, but the shorter you hold it in, the less stool will initially come out. There is some cramping for me when I try to hold it in for the 5-minute period, and it can be difficult, but it is what gives you the best results!"

For multiple reasons, being prescriptions, anxiety, and just plain scared to go, there are times I don't go a bit for almost 3 to 4 weeks. Scary, I know, but let me tell you, if you are reading this passage I'm writing, stop. Grab your Fleet Enema, take a deep breath, and give it to yourself. There is nothing to worry about, and this discomfort you have been feeling will all be gone a short time after administering the enema. It will not hurt, and you will feel better. Quit worrying!!! Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "I can’t go to the bathroom unless I use Fleet enemas. It’s made me codependent that my brain won’t signal to give me an urge. Either I use the enema or I will never get relief, and when I do use them, they put a lot of gas on my stomach, which makes me bloated and uncomfortable. No matter how hard I have tried to drink prune juice, apple juice, or take stool softeners, I am unable to evacuate. I can do 3 Fleet enemas before I feel better to start my day, but they leave me bloated and poop mucus. I wish I never started using them because now I can’t go to the bathroom on my own like a normal human being."

I tried everything: stool softeners, juice, milk of magnesia, and nothing was working. I saw Fleet in store and thought I’d give it a try. It is easy to use, has lubricant, but I had to get S/O to help due to I couldn’t hold it in for that long. In about 5 minutes, it started to work. Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "Anxiety sometimes makes me constipated, but it was really bothering me this time. I was scared to use an enema... but uncomfortable enough to go for it, and I didn't make it through half the bottle before I had to go... seriously less than a minute. It was miraculous. I feel so much better and had no pain from it, only a little stomach cramping, but only a few seconds' worth. I guess I'll just save the other half, lol. Would definitely recommend. Oh... Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "I was constipated for 5 days. I also have hemorrhoids. I couldn't go at all. I think I waited too long, by the time I tried using Colace, I went to CVS and for around 4 dollars, I got Fleet. Let me just say I felt very uncomfortable. It felt really weird. Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "I used the Fleet Extra Strength Enema kit, and I feel like a new person! I felt the urge to go in just 4 minutes! However, the only downfall is the cramps that follow until your whole colon is cleansed. These cramps lasted about 7 minutes, and once everything was out of me, I felt amazing! Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "I'm 7 days post-spinal surgery and had been provided stool softener after surgery to help movement. After 4 days, trying SennaCot, Dulcolax, beet root juice, plums, prunes, and milk of magnesia, I tried Fleet. Like the other reviews state, it isn't really uncomfortable, but just gets things moving. I recommend that you buy more than one, as I bought the twin pack and it was only a few dollars. First use, I only moved things enough that the hard bits came away. Then, there was some relief. Later that evening, I guess finally the other items I had taken pushed the rest through, so I had bad diarrhea on and off for a while. However, I felt 10 times better. The next day, I kept normal with a bowel movement, and again on day 7, I'm using the second bottle."

"I am a fairly healthy 71-year-old male. All my life, I have been going 10 to 14 days between bowel movements. Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "Giving this a 5 out of 10 because it worked but ruined my entire day. While it claims to work in 15 min to an hour, that was not the case for me. It took about five hours for this to work for me, a good portion of which my stomach was cramping painfully. I was in and out of the toilet for three hours after that. Fortunately, this happened on a Sunday, so I didn’t have to worry about work, but I just felt sick, tired, and achy the whole day. Had this happened on a workday, I would’ve needed to take it off."

I was diagnosed with an ileus and given oral laxatives and glycerin suppositories, all to no avail. The trapped gas pains were excruciating. My nurse suggested a Fleet Enema to get things moving. Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "I experienced severe constipation from using Zofran in pregnancy. I was backed up for several days and unable to have a bowel movement. I went to the ER, and they asked me to try magnesium citrate, Fleet Enema, or senna laxative pills. I purchased the Fleet Enema. After 4 minutes of using the product, I had the urge to have a bowel movement. The liquid came out, and I continued to push, but the stool was too difficult to pass. I stayed in the toilet for half an hour trying, but eventually gave up. I went to sleep after that, feeling discouraged and thinking I would have to try something else the next morning. A few hours into my sleep, I suddenly felt mild stomach discomfort and leaking watery bowels. I went to the toilet, and everything came out quickly like diarrhea, although some of it was still hard but much easier to push than before. Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "Honestly, I have been bloated and constipated for months. I mean it when I say months. I would take laxatives and peppermint tea and ginseng tea. NOTHING. Until my boyfriend told me about this product that can help you poop in 1-5 minutes. I didn’t believe it at first. But I just did it right now, and I pooped so good. It was amazing. Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "I am currently on a high-protein diet and went three days without having a bowel movement. On the fourth day, I tried to use the bathroom but still could not ease my constipation. Over the next two days, I experienced discomfort and tried to relieve it by eating berries, taking Senokot, and drinking 3 liters of water. On the sixth day, I attempted to use the bathroom again but was still scared. I then ordered Microlax, which arrived the next day. I was nervous about using the enema but eventually mustered the courage to do so. After walking around for 5 minutes, I was finally able to pass everything, and I felt much better. However, just to be cautious, I hovered around the toilet for another 30 minutes after having another massive bowel movement just two minutes later. Overall, I would rate this experience 5 stars."

Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "This works!! I never take the time to write reviews, but this gave me so much relief. I have had impacted stool/constipation twice in the past two weeks. The first time I used a suppository, and it didn't work at all; in fact, it made the pain worse. I finally decided to try this enema the second time around. It didn't hurt to put it in, but it did hurt pretty badly when the stool was coming out. 10-15 minutes later, two huge mounds of impacted stool popped right out. I was so relieved. Use this if you have impacted stool/constipation. Note: I did have to get in the bathtub after administering the enema and pooped in the bath, kind of gross, but it did the trick. Cleaned myself and bathtub thoroughly after."

Sodium biphosphate / sodium phosphate "I have suffered from a major depressive disorder for many years now and have always suffered from the constipation side effect of taking venlafaxine (the active ingredient in Effexor and Elaxine)... don't know about other antidepressants. I used Fleet Phospho Soda for the 1st time about 18 months ago and it was a very welcomed relief. When taking Fleet, I follow the following regime: mix 1/3 of a single bottle with 250 ml water (as directed), ready the next round straight away, then set a 10 min timer on my phone. When the timer goes off, down the next glass as fast as you can (tastes like crap), ready the next round, and set the timer again. When the timer goes off, down the last round. Activity usually takes for me, approximately 3-4 hours to take effect."
