Metamucil (psyllium) for Constipation "Metamucil is great but the new formula with Stevia DOES NOT WORK THE SAME. It's not even close. I won't get detailed but it simply does not do its job. I feel more bloated after taking. Do not buy it with Stevia."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Constipation "Worked good at first, then it caused my constipation to get much worse. Stools became very hard and dry. This leads to bleeding, hemorrhoids and colon issues. Constipation and dehydration work together. Drink plenty of good water everyday."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Dietary Fiber Supplementation "Started taking the product for health maintenance and it was also recommended by my internist after a colonoscopy and early signs of diverticulitis. Also my wife who is a RN nursing supervisor has used the product for years and rightfully claims it reduces bathroom "paperwork". I think the product is gentle acting and good when used regularly. and over times does what it is supposed to. I like the powdered version and think the taste is good. This product is a startng place to clean up inside out and get the benefits of more energy, better health. I also think some folks would benefit from stronger more "kick butt" once a year type colon, liver and kidney body clenzing from Dr Schultz or others, for major healing and slowing the aging process."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Constipation "I was having some serious difficult with occasional constipation since having my daughter a year ago. After doing many tests and determining I didn't have any underlying conditions, my doctor recommended a serving if Metamucil once a day. It's been a live saver! After about 3 days it started working and it's been weeks that I haven't had a single issue. I mix it with a glass of orange juice every morning so the taste doesn't bother me. I also started taking a probiotic with it. The combo has improved my energy and digestive health ten fold."

Metamucil (psyllium) "I have had on going issues with bowel movements for years. I am a 60 yr old male. There is a history of this condition in my family. After taking metamucil it worked amazingly. I am way more regular and for the first time in many years I actually have that empty feeling. I believe I will be using metamucil for many many years to come. I recommended this to my siblings and with the same condition and they also have had positive results."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome "Been having bowel problems for the past three months. Doctors prescribed me to a lot of different medications, medicines etc however it just made my stomach a whole lot worse. I kid you guys not, Metamucil worked for me instantly. My bloating went right down, my stomach feels a whole lot lighter, I am able to go to the toilet normally, I don't feel so sluggish and tired, I've also got more energy throughout the day. I 100% recommend this to anyone suffering from IBS or bowel problems, its amazing!"

Metamucil (psyllium) for Dietary Fiber Supplementation "I had a colonoscopy and Metamucil was recommended. I did not like it at all with orange flavors and sweeteners. It was yukky. I then found the kind with no sweeteners and unflavored. It is much better. I mix it with my orange juice or other juice as half juice and half water. When I went to buy it again it was almost double the price the the kind with added flavors and sweeteners. So I then bought another kind of psyllium fiber without a bunch of added ingredients. Putting sweeteners, sugar, and unwanted flavors are not needed. Why do they charge more for unsweetened and unflavored."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Constipation "My son has suffered with major constipation for almost a year. He is 2 years old. Every doctor told us to use prunes, apple juice, no dairy... etc. we tried them all. BUT Metamucil has worked its wonders!! He poops everyday and does not have to strain so much. Its doing really good, we give him half of a teaspoon in his water once a day and he doesn't even drink all of it."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome "Great Marketing!!!! But the cheaper and more original Psyllium Husk seems to work better for my Collagenous Colitis! I don’t know why that is. Maybe because it has no additive and is not in powdered form."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Constipation "It helps. Take lots of fluid afterwards! It works better then. Contipated for 30+ years. Now have severe diverticulous. No other health problems. This helps greatly. I also use it with yogurt and a natural juice, ie. Carrot or pomegranate. And take lots of fluid, 8 cups / day. I Eat a healthy diet, lots of fruit, veggies and fiber (oatmeal). Little or no meat. This helps. Good luck!"

Konsyl (psyllium) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome "I have used Metamusil and a variety of such aids in the past to help my irritable bowel and related issues of constipation and hemorrhoids. None of these compares to the efficacy of Konsyl. It isn't carried everywhere, and it can be pricey, but it is available online and it is far superior to any other product of its kind that I have used."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome "Somewhat helped for a few months, but then my irritable bowel syndrome got worse. Even ER medicines didn't relieve my pain. I have been suffering for 2 years and haven't found a medicine that will help."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome "Regular use changed my life. I have no stomach pain anymore. I hurt nearly every day before this. Now my life is so much better. I did not have constipation. I suffered pain nearly every morning. Now my stomach empties every morning and I have virtually no pain. The first few days I felt full and bloated after drinking Metamucil. Now I am adjusted to the fiber and feel so much better."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Dietary Fiber Supplementation "It was wonderful at stopping my diarrhea. I ended up having a soft bowel movement in about 12 hours of taking the dose. The bad part was I had horrible abdominal pain and looked like I was 9 months pregnant. I would rather put up with diarrhea then put up with that. Today I am trying citrucel and hopefully won't blow up anymore and no more abdominal cramps."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Dietary Fiber Supplementation "I started using metamucil as a post partum treatment for constipation. I would go a week with no bowel movement. When the movement finally arrived it would tear the hemorrhoid I developed during pregnancy. I started using 1 tsp of metamucil per day. It has been a bit of a roller coaster. It does create bulk and soften stools which has helped the frequency of the movements and reduced the pain from tearing during a bowel movement. However it has also caused some pretty painful abdominal cramps and pain that radiates into the lower back. Unfortunately the pain it causes does not out weigh the benefit so I have stopped using it and switched to bran cereal and plenty more raw vegetables. I have used metamucil daily for the last 8 weeks. Pain with use started around 3 weeks ago."

Konsyl (psyllium) for Constipation "I had been taking psyllium caplets (five 3x a day) for many years for my IBS-C and they were working fine. One day out of the blue I had a very hard BM that caused an anal fissure. I had never even heard of those! Went to see a colorectal doc and she said the powdered form of fiber is best and the Konsyl is the best on the market. She said is has to do with how it is milled. At first the taste made me gag, but I find if you use very cold water, the taste is almost nothing and it is easier to drink. I also chug it down quickly. I have to take it 3x a day for it to work for me; breakfast, lunch and one more in the evening to keep things "moving". It can be pricey and I never see sales. I buy it at Target to save 5% with my Target debit card."

Konsyl (psyllium) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome "On the advice of my Gastro Doctor, I was taking 2 capsules per day of Psyllium put out by Konsyl until they were discontinued. It came back in powder form and I find it to be amazing. I take Miralax also, a probiotic also. What a difference in taking the Konysl Psyllium. Just would love it if they came back with the capsules. The powder does not mix very well. People complain about the taste which I find very tolerable. Hope it help others the way it is helping me."

Konsyl (psyllium) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome "I just started taking Konsyl and OMG!!! Life changer!!! I am only on week one and I think this is the answer I have been looking for! I have suffered from IBS and ulcerative colitis for 40 years. I am in shock, thank you KONSYL"

Konsyl (psyllium) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome "Konsyl has changed. Confirmed that the new CEO sold off their milling equipment and now source it from a third party. It is now ground too fine. It doesn't work at all like the real "original" that I have been using for the past 20 years for IBS-C. Look elsewhere and please let others know if a suitable replacement is found. Don't waste your money on this! Sad that all of those years of helping people have been washed away by a new CEO looking to increase profits. Argggh!"

Metamucil Unflavored Coarse Milled Original Texture (psyllium) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome "I've had IBS my whole life - debilitating cramps as far back as I can remember, constipation alternating with uncontrolled diarrhea. Doctors couldn't come up with anything that helped, so I lived with it for decades without seeing a doctor again. 30+ years after I'd last seen a doctor, I had such an awful, embarassing experience that I thought I'd try again. The doctor prescribed Metamucil original coarse. It was literally life changing! I take two teaspoons every morning after breakfast and another two before bed. I can eat anything - spicy, high fiber, you name it - with no problems. Metamucil is a miracle cure!"

Metamucil (psyllium) for Constipation "My first experience mixing it with water was disgusting. I felt bloated, belching, and thought I was going to throw up. On the second day I mixed it with 2 teaspoons of plain yoghurt and ate with a spoon with a 300-mill water chaser. Perfecto! Works well on gut poo management. Good to go."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Constipation "Metamucil worked for me after 48 hours. It is sugar-free and has an orange flavor. I took a rounded teaspoon for two mornings and I plan to take it every day for my constipation problem. I was lucky has I have had no side effects."

For Dietary Fiber Supplementation "I am a 51-year-old woman who has been taking daily psyllium husk capsules for about 4 years now, on the advice of my physician to treat my high cholesterol. I wanted to try to lower my cholesterol without being prescribed a man-made, synthetic medication. Not only did my bad cholesterol numbers (LDL) go down significantly, my bowel movements became much more regular and happen at the same time every morning. It also has changed the consistency of my stools, making them much easier to pass and evacuate my bowels completely. The only side effects I've experienced is an occasional firm stool that I suspect is from not drinking quite enough water with my daily doses of psyllium capsules. I do not get an upset stomach, and I don't get constipated ever. I don't take Metamucil because I don't like the unnecessary additives it includes, like sucrose (sugar), artificial orange flavor, and yellow #6 dye (why do they add that to it? I'll never understand that decision)."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Dietary Fiber Supplementation "I started taking psyllium husk fiber through Metamucil and noticed no adverse digestive effects. I felt more satiated after eating a bit smaller portions which was a benefit for me. My doctor commented on my formerly resistant serum cholesterol number which decreased by 40 points and my A1C which was down about 1 point both of which had been virtually immobile for several years. After consistent use of the capsule form taking 4 to 8 capsules with each meal I feel better overall and have noticed a 10% decrease in weight which may be a result of smaller portions. I must say that I have not been dieting other than possibly less carb craving using this product."

Metamucil (psyllium) for Constipation "I always considered eating certain foods was enough to combat constipation but have found that as I aged this was not sufficient. I decided to start using Metamucil and found this to be easy to take, tasteless and the condition has vastly improved."
