Pregabalin "I have been having pain for 5 months now after a bad dental experience. I thought it was my teeth that were causing all of my pain. I felt hopeless with no other options left. No dentists knew what to do. I went to my doctor and said I possibly have nerve damage from the numbing shot (I have permanent numbness too). This medicine has taken away my tingling feeling from the numbing (although it's still numb, it's not annoying). The shooting pain through my jaw is gone, and my throbbing is gone too. WONDERFUL. I do feel a little dizzy and loopy, but I'm so happy."

Pregabalin "Just started taking about 1 week ago for severe pain due to having a bi-lateral mastectomy (both breasts removed) for breast cancer in 2006, with chemotherapy followed by reconstructive surgery. Couldn't sleep due to pain, took hydrocodone daily, which upset my stomach, and I became dependent on it every night and morning due to severe pain. My life has changed for the better since I started taking Lyrica. Now able to move with very little pain, and my son is so happy to have his mommy back."

Pregabalin "I am diagnosed with a type of 'Meralgia Paresthetica,' a neuropathic pain in my right leg. I also get pain 'breakthrough,' where pain attacks can reach up to 10 on a pain scale. I started Lyrica last year, and now I am on 225 mg twice a day and have the same amount of pain control as the Gabapentin, but at a much lower dose. My wife says that I am much more 'aware' and 'responsive' on Lyrica, and my short-term memory issues are not quite as severe, however, they are still there. My weight gain has ceased, however, I am having a tough time trying to lose all the weight I have gained."

"I took Lyrica daily for 4 years. Originally, I took it for elbow pain, similar to carpal tunnel, and I found it reduced my migraines significantly (preventative); I also found that it reduced my restless legs at night so I can sleep. After about 4 years of the medicine, my testicles started hurting really badly, along with nausea, unless I constantly re-dosed with smaller doses. The vicious cycle of nausea and testicle pain caused by this medicine forced me to turn to cannabis and discontinue Lyrica. I exhausted all other alternatives first. If Lyrica wasn’t so addictive and with such bad withdrawal, I would give it a ten (i.e., if this drug could treat ten years of symptoms without leaving me constantly feeling like someone was crushing my testicles in their hand or vomiting daily."

Pregabalin "My mother takes Lyrica for bulging disc pain - 450 mg a day (150 mg 3 times a day). Roughly, she takes it every 6 hours. The pain relief is great, but sometimes struggles to get through those 6 hours before the next dose. It has helped a lot."

"The testicle pain Lyrica created is still going strong 3 years after discontinuing the drug. The withdrawal causes hallucinations, I am still able to reason with the thoughts, and I know it isn’t really me."

Pregabalin "In late 2007, I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease with several herniated discs and was prescribed Lyrica 75 mg x 3 a day, and after 3 or 4 days, the pain was gone. In January of 2008, I had spinal fusion surgery on C6 C7 because the herniated disc had my spine squeezed down to smaller than a cigarette (7 mm). After surgery and weaning off of narcotics (hydrocodone) after about 6 months, the pain came back worse than before. The doctor wouldn't give me Lyrica again and eventually, I was taking 120 mg of hydrocodone or more per day and still in pain and couldn't sleep. After switching to a pain management doctor, I began Lyrica again (225 mg x 3 per day). It doesn't help as much as before but still much better. No side effects other than hard to concentrate."

"Have had bad low back pain for the past year, got to the point where I could only be on my feet 20 min at a time before I had to sit down with a cushion behind me. Have been on Pregabalin 50mg for the past couple of months. At the pharmacy, they told me it would take 2-3 months for it to start helping, but I think just today, it is helping. I am supposed to go next week for a Cortisone shot, but if the pain is truly better, I may cancel. The thing I am concerned about is that I saw somewhere that it is not good to take over the age of 65, and I am 78... Not had any real side effects, tired a lot, but I have been tired for most of my life..."

Pregabalin "I was born with neurofibromatosis and saw over 20 doctors in the last year with 4 MRIs. I have thousands of little bumps on my back and one on my left side that is the size of a golf ball wrapped around my nerve and muscle. I finally went to a pain specialist, and he put me on this drug. It's my 3rd day on it, and I am taking 100 mg now, and in two more days, I will be on 150 mg. So far, this is amazing. I went golfing today, and I had no pain in my swing. I can finally get back out on the course and have no pain in my backswing. I'm glad I have not read any negative comments about this drug. It really is a miracle."

"I had a double fusion of L4, L5, and L5, S1, and so I had bad pain. I was taking three oxy 60 mg per day. I have had nothing help with my pain since 2010. I was on pregabalin for a year, and it helped better than the pain relievers."

Pregabalin "I have suffered with severe pain from neurofibromatosis. After the first day of taking Lyrica, I felt wonderful. A bit sleepy and forgetful. I have not noticed an increase in appetite, but I have noticed food tastes better. I am also sleeping harder, and it is hard to wake up. After 4 days, I am so happy to have found this."

Pregabalin "I have been having pain in my wrists, hands, and elbows for years due to waiting tables and hefting 100-pound trays on one hand. Lately, I was having more pain in those areas, and my hips have started really hurting me. My doctor and I ran tests, and by process of elimination, we feel that I have chronic fatigue, which can contribute to a lot of the allergy/asthma symptoms, the pains, and exhaustion. I started taking Lyrica and am up to 100 mg 3 x daily. I feel great. Everything but my hip is better."

Pregabalin "I really didn't notice much difference after 6 months on Lyrica - still had minor headaches, but apparently, swelling went down (MRI). I did notice the sleepiness at first, followed by insomnia and 30 lbs weight gain in that 6 months and swollen fingers and belly area."

"My doctor prescribed me to take 75 mg of Lyrica (pregabalin) for my back and neck pain. Now I can't wake up early in the morning, and I feel like I can't move my body. I feel so weak, I can't work well because I feel so dizzy. I need to take paracetamol because I've got a headache all the time. I have been taking this medication for 6 days, and I feel my pain is worsening. I can't recommend this medicine. But I hope as I'm taking this medication, it helps me to feel better."

"I've been on pregabalin 200 mg, 3 times per day for my radiculopathy. It helps me with pain and anxiety. I have the medial nerve blocks in my lumbar area every 4 months. Still, the pregabalin helps, also. If I miss my noon dose, around 2 p.m., the pain reminds me. I also take hydrocodone five times per day."

Pregabalin "I am an 81-year-old male with back pain. The epidurals gave relief for only 3 weeks. I took Lyrica 50 mg two times a day for only ten days. I stopped due to adverse reactions. I'm now in the process of gradually reducing the dose over a period of 8 days. My main reaction was a feeling of being drunk. I refused to drive during this time. On a scale of 1-10, I rate the pain relief a 5 or 6."

"This medicine is best for those patients who have problems or are in pain. I have used this pain relief for a long time, and finally, it gives me more relief, and this one is the best pain reliever of all time, I think."

"I am taking pregabalin after suffering a clinically isolated syndrome, which left residual pins and needles and pain in my feet, plus painful stiffness in the muscles above my knees. Was taking gabapentin, but only helped a bit, still found walking uncomfortable. Am now taking pregabalin 75 mg three times a day and have found this wonderful. I work full time in a busy pharmacy, this has helped me to continue my work and improved my life considerably. Am struggling with weight gain, but it's worth it."

"Been on pregabalin 50 mg 3x a day for pain from breast cancer treatment's side effects. I sleep off and on and wake up because I'm kicking my legs in the air and swinging my arms around. It’s frightening and bizarre!! Does this drug make you crazy? I’m scared to continue. I see my Dr next week."

"I took 50 mg of pregabalin for 19 days for pain due to fibromyalgia and peripheral neuropathy, on top of the max dose of Cymbalta (which I've developed a tolerance to). I could have dealt with the severe cotton mouth (a known common side effect). However, I started having back pain in the first week. By day 17, the back pain (another known common side effect) was so severe that I spent the weekend on the couch alternating between muscle relaxers and opiates. Pregabalin took away my nerve pain, but I still have an awful backache 3 days after I discontinued use of this medication."

"I find it helpful for sleep, 150 mg with Seroquel and Xanax. Sometimes it makes me dreamy or spacey, not unpleasant, but maybe for its reputation as a street drug in larger doses, I have never tried. I don't have much anxiety, so have nothing to add."

Pregabalin "I have just started on this medication, it is hard to say if it is working for me yet. I do notice the dry mouth and yucky aftertaste. I have been dealing with an unknown condition for many years, nobody can figure out what is wrong. I have been sleeping a bit better since I have been on Lyrica. I am also on about 14 other medications, so not sure which one is doing what, haha. It does help to see so many people. Have heard such great reviews of this treatment. It is hopeful for me to look for in the future."

Pregabalin "Have moderate fibromyalgia pain, joint pain, a bulging cervical disk, and mild peripheral nerve pain. Tried it for a few months. Helped a little at 150 mg a day. At 300 mg, I had a flat mood and no libido. Gained 10 lbs. Wasn't worth the dollars or the side effects. Tried it again with Cymbalta. Didn't work any better."
