Lyrica (pregabalin) "Diagnosed with fibromyalgia 6 years ago, I've tried many antidepressants and pain killers. I have been in withdrawal of Tramal and replacing it with Lyrica. I see it as my salvation when compared to some of the medications I have taken over the years. YES, withdrawal from any form of medication is horrific and with uncertainty and discomfort. I personally am prepared to go through this horrible time to give Lyrica it's chance to work and improve my life, as I have seen an improvement already. Thanks to those who worked so hard to make this medicine for those of us who need it, know that your work is appreciated."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I was on Lyrica for a year. Then my insurance decided hey we aren't paying for this anymore and I had to stop. And it was a just stop completely not a wean off of it. Started on. Gabapentin 800 3x a day. Has done Nothing for me. I am miserable. If you need help paying for it go to there website and they will actually pay for the medication for you. For a year then you just reapply. I will be getting mine back finally this week. And I can't wait to get back on it so I can actually be a mom and a wife again. Without laying in bed all day suffering."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I had to stop taking Cymbalta because my insurance would no longer cover it. After 2 months of increasing pain to the point I cried all day my Dr prescribed Lyrica after my suggestion. I think after about the 3rd day my pain had decreased dramatically. On the day I went to the Dr, my pain level was 10 and after 4 days of 75mg in morning and evening I would probably rate my pain level of 2. I hope this continues."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "This drug changed my life with unexpected benefits. I started taking for herniated disc and a lot of nerve damage. I started feeling pain relief immediately. It made me feel very high the first week and I had to be careful how and when I would take it / 150MGs 3xs a day. The high feeling eventually, gradually dissipated After a week, I noticed my wife smiling a lot with great caution I asked her why and she said she likes how calm and relaxed I am. I'm naturally a very high strung, intense person. I thought about what she said and noticed I actually was very relaxed and things that typically set me off they just didn't anymore. I then read about how the drug helps with anxiety. My insurance doesn't really cover it...I pay 50 for a months"

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I have suffered with Fibromyalgia for over twenty years and when Lyrica was recommended for use by FM patients, my life changed drastically. Actually, the first time I tried it, the dosage at 75mg/day wasn't nearly enough to tell any difference. Then my doctor bumped it to 75mgX3/day and that did it. I got off the couch, but ate everything in sight. I decided I would rather have a few extra pounds and have a life, than not take Lyrica. Last year, my new Doctor switched my Rx to 150mgX2/day and I'm feeling even better! I have taken the weight off bc I'm so much more active now. Seriously, if Lyrica wasn't available in the US, I'd move to where it was!"

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I have found I have an increased urge to eat sweet foods. I have tried to control this by eating fruit. However, this does not stop the craving for sweets. Also I have noticed an increased thirst and less urination. Further I have been able to stop using morphine patches and taking Mersyndol Forte since starting Lyrica. The lessening of pain has enabled me to sleep better"

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I was diagnosed with FM 3 years ago. Tried gabapentin, Cymbalta, muscle relaxers and opiates. Doc finally had me gave me lyrica (after I had to try everything else first) ams at first, it worked. I did feel "high" but that slowly went away. After approx. 2 weeks of 75mg a day, I had horrible side effects..feeling depressed, like people were talking about me or didnt like me, had no memory or wasn't able to concentrate but what finally got me to stop was I had thoughts of driving my car off of a hill that i drive down daily. I may suffer from pain so intensely that I cry all the time, can't leave my home at times or feel blue because of it, but I had never thought of taking my own life. I stopped immediately despite my docs orders."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "The positives out weigh the negative for Lyrica for my fibromyalgia, it is taking care of my pain so well. The side effects I've experienced is weight gain, blurred vision, swelling of my ankles & feet. Also less out put than the amount of input regarding my urine. I'm hoping that will adjust because Lyrica is controlling my pain, so I will tolerate the side effects anytime, anywhere, all the time. I take 150mg a.m. and 150p.m. I was taking norco. No more, Yeah!!!!"

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I take 75 mg x 2 per day. It seemed to help the first couple of days, now nothing. I have gained 12+ lbs, too. My appetite is getting out of control. I'm going to talk to my doctor about trying something else. Anyone else having problems with weight gain like me? I still need to take an OTC pain medicine with my Lyrica. Anybody ever try muscle relaxers?"

Lyrica (pregabalin) "Dizziness, sleepiness while driving, I got used to it. It did wonders at first for my pain. I found it was effective but I had to keep upping the dose. I struggled with keeping a job, I had balance issues, low potassium levels..I ended up in hospital twice for two months. I was euphoric and also had angry outbursts, it was a strange combination. There were blisters on my chin, I was unbalanced and had swelling in my ankles. I had to stop it once I struggled with breathing. I also had jerkiness at night when sleeping and it effected my eyesight dramatically, floaters and blurry vision followed by vertigo."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I suffer from fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and surgically induced menopause. I am 40 years old. I have tried all medicines like Cymbalta, etc. but none really helped. My main issue has been a lack of deep restorative healing sleep as it exacerbates the fibromyalgia pain and inability to exercise. My Rhematologist has given me Lyrica to try and I have to say so far so good. I have only taken 3 doses and already I am getting a better quality sleep. So much so that my husband has noticed my improved overall state of mind. I am a little cloudy the next day but I am hoping this will ease over time. Worth the cost of a cup of coffee a day if it helps!"

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I have been on Lyrica for around a year now, I take 300mg twice a day, initially this was a wonder drug that helped immensely with my pain, I couldn't stay awake for first few weeks but since getting used to it I've been fine. The massive downside for me is that it's affects have weaned dramatically and I once again find myself in pain, being a single parent to 4 children and working full time is becoming increasingly difficult and I'm not sure I can continue working."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "Pain reduction with memory loss. I've been on Lyrica 4 yrs and take 450 mg a day for fibromyalgia, migraines, and nerve damage. Also on Fentanyl pain patch, Norco, and Flexeril daily for herniated discs C3-C7, T3, L1. Lyrica significantly improves my pain and migraine recurrance; however, it is likely the cause of memory loss and slower thought process. I teach high school and college courses, am the parent of five young adults, and am sole breadwinner and insurance provider. I intend to reduce my Lyrica and pray I can manage increased pain better than memory loss or dementia, two common side effects of Lryica. Female, 53 yrs. Check Pfizer patient assistance programs on web to defray costs. I got free Lyrica when needed. No weight gain."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "Week one was like a miracle. I had never felt so normal, even-keeled as far as pain, energy, mood. Not ecstatic, or like being high, just good. "So this is what it's like to be free of pain, this is what lots of people feel every day ... " Then week two. The bubble burst and it all went away. Reminded me of steroid shots and how unpredictable their effectiveness or duration. I stopped taking it for about a year. One day thought I'd try it again, as some meds worked or not at different points in my life. Within hours I was sobbing in suicidal grief. My father wanted to take me to the hospital but I had the wherewithal to remember reading about possible side effects. As glorious as that first week had been a year before, this was hell on earth. The disappointment was profound as I have never had a week like that before/since. I'm glad it works for some, but it can be dangerous for others like myself."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I have been taking 75mg twice per day now for 10 days. I have severe back pain from an injury. I did not think that such a small pill twice a day could help. I was ready to stop using it after three days because of the side effects of feeling totally 'out of it'. I had mood swings, dizziness, and confusion. Those side effects have now eased up, and my pain has become less severe. I have had weight gain and wonder if it causes water retention. I feel bloated. Hope this helps."

"I’ve taken 150 mg Lyrica for over a year and has been a lifesaver! Started generic almost 6 weeks ago and noticed within days I was hurting but thought I would keep trying it. Now I don’t feel like I have any medication in me as all my fibromyalgia symptoms are back full force. Getting my dr to do a pre auth to hopefully get me approved to go back to lyrica brand. Wild thing is I found some old lyrica brand pills I had and tried one today and noticed a difference with an hour or so. This just seems so wild to me but I also have the MTHFR mutation gene and my dr thinks my body does not process this generic well. It’s just so odd to me because it just is I guess. I’ve been searching for anyone else having this issue bc I’m just in bed right now. Hope this helps someone! Thank u"

Lyrica (pregabalin) "The pain from Fibromyalgia comes as MUSCLE cramping, tingling, twitching, spasms, etc. It is not a "nerve" illness per se, yet doctors think people are stupid and prescribe this anyway. It does nothing for the pain or fatigue from Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue/M.E. Until people realize that legitimate users of meds such as Hydrocodone, morphine ER, etc are rarely abused by people in genuine chronic pain, doctors will continue to jeopardize patients lives by giving them meds like this as a placebo with nasty side effects. One doctor also put me on Paxil which gave me Serotonin Syndrome and I was in Intensive care for a week! This was when SSRI's first came out and I went into med journals. Avoid this for chronic MUSCLE pain."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I was prescribed Lyrica for Fibromyalgia pain. It didn't really help that much but it did wonders for the neuropathy in my feet caused by botched plantar fascitis surgery. The pain in my feet was horrible and the Lyrica took the sharp jabs and the feeling of nails being driven through my feet away. Still have some pain in my feet but not the intense, jarring me awake type pain. On the one occasion I ran out of Lyrica I got terribly sick, throwing up and diarrhea. So I don't run out!! Am taking 300 mg morning and night. Have recently lost 37 pounds, albeit with great effort, just like before Lyrica. Sometimes my vision is just a little blurry, but have learned to deal with it. I continue to take Lyrica for the benefits."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I've found that Lyrica does help though it did take a while for me to get used to it as initially I was very affected and sounded like I'd been drinking when I took it! I only take it at night now though I still have to be careful not to take too much or take it too late in the evening or I'm a bit slow and sleepy the next day. My doctor tried me first on Cymbalta ( spelling?) but the constipation was horrific with that for me. Overall my pain has diminished with Lyrica and I'm happy to be on it."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "This is a horrible drug. Not effective unless you increase your dose. All kinds of side effects, including withdrawal. I have been tying to get off this for 20 months. Rehabs won't touch a dependent person. I'm only half way down to 75mg a day. Cost is killing me. $650 month. I have lost 40 lbs due to vomiting and diarrhea! Don't take it! This is my worst nightmare ever!"

Lyrica (pregabalin) "Lyrica is a scheme why patent a medicine that loved ones need whether they can or cannot afford it. To but a ban on generic forms shows that they do not care for the well being, they just care how much money they can bulk up. I do not support lyrica. Gabapentin does the job and won't kill your organs with the "potency". It's sad they have no care for your health just want to gain wealth off your illness. "

Lyrica (pregabalin) " was prescribed Lyrica 75 mg 2 times a day. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. It is severe. I am completely disabled after leadind a very active life style for years. It has helped my pain some. I am unable to take pain meds due to seizures. I was previously on morphine for the pain, which had no effect on my pain. Lyrica has at least made it bearable."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "Lyrica is great at taking away my pain due to fibromyalgia. However, the side effects from the medication and from detoxing are not worth it! I am 25 and took Lyrica for at least 6 years. I experienced severe brain fog, difficulty breathing, cognitive difficulties n others while on this medication. I thought they were all due to my conditions, but after truly reflecting on my journey Lyrica surely hurt me more than it helped me. I have been off of the medication for about 3 weeks now. I did some research and learned that my detox period would be both difficult and long because 1, I took the medication for several years, I took a high dosage andi stopped the medicatiod cold turkey. It's getting easier for sure. The creator on my side!"
