"I have been taking this medication for 1 month for spondyloarthritis - 10 mg in the morning and 15 mg Mobic at night and have noticed the following improvements - improvement in plantar fasciitis to the point of being minor, improvement in bursitis on the opposite foot to being minor, improvement in pain in thumb from not being able to hold a pen to being able to give a firm handshake. No adverse reactions. Swelling in the toe still evident but reduced in the foot. Was advised of side effects and have altered diet and increased exercise to avoid any weight gain. Have lost weight, which may be associated with the altered regime or this medicine."

"This drug can destroy your life! Was given this for psoriatic arthritis by a so-called specialist, and the side effects ten years later are Cushing's syndrome and two life-threatening infections. In the last five years, I have had three hip surgeries (one side twice), an ankle fusion, the other ankle still needs to be done, half a lung removed, and still have many medical issues that affect my quality of life. Please check to see if this drug is worth it for your condition because I am 46, and my daily life is horrible because of prednisone!"

"Diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis (PA) at 24 years old... tried every drug under the sun! Nothing worked for longer than a few months... exhausted all roads till rheumatology put me on Prednisone for a year at 10 mg daily! In one year, was out of my wheelchair and went back to work! I admit it worked great for arthritis, and not so well for psoriasis. So methotrexate was added to clear my skin. Within 8 months it was the clearest I'd been ever. Well, stayed on that combo for the next 20 years! But methotrexate started giving my liver problems... needed biopsies 4 times a year, and it became too much! Today, at 68, I'm still on prednisone, yes just over 40 years now. It was my miracle drug then. Not so much now, but without it, I can't even move at all! Tried other drugs, Talz, NEVER again... then Remicade which in 1 year did zip, not one plaque cleared! Fear the side effects I am reading and too many indicate being over 50, and I'm over 60 can likely mean you are more than likely to have some! God bless you all!!"
