Pramoxine/zinc oxide topical "'Anusol Plus Ointment' Pramoxine HCl, w/w 1% / Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate 0.5%. I have terrible clotting, bursting piles. It's mainly one large lump inside with broken blood vessels. I've used a lot of drugs. Anusol Plus gel is much better than something over-the-counter. I prefer it over prescribed lidocaine. I confirm. For me, it burns for 5 minutes. It must be another ingredient. After that, the Pramoxine takes effect. Phew! Just as painful as O.T.C. Prep H PE Gel, which also burns for 5 minutes. Not as bad as benzyl alcohol inside. (By mistake) Ahh! A lidocaine cream... Not for insides!"

"Worked all right for a little while, but I tend to get better results with apple cider vinegar (mixed with guar gum for consistency) and/or rutin."

Tronolane Anesthetic for Hemorrhoids
Pramoxine/zinc oxide topical "I have used Nupercainal, Preparation H, and Tronolane. Nupercainal is effective, Prep. H smells and is greasy, Tronolane is outstanding. I have now been using it for at least 10 years, as required, and it always relieves pain and soothes the area. Tronolane is a wonderful product."
