Roxicodone (oxycodone) "I have severe osteoarthritis and advanced joint degenerative disease. I have been on many different kinds of medicines in the past including Methadone, and I think the Roxicodone 30mg. is by far the best. This medicine, you can actually function on and be totally out of pain!"

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "Knee damage waiting on replacement surgery. Due to pandemic knee surgery has been postponed for almost a year... I need to keep working at my job to support my family. I was on a regiment of Percocet 7.5 mg three times a day... I timed them out perfectly for pain relief while at my job and while at home getting work done...... The pain center replaced that regiment with Xtampza 13.5 twice a day. Explained nothing to me about taking with a special diet. They do not offer comparable pain relief as the Percocet did.. I rate them a 4 out of 10 at best. I would like to go back on my old regiment but due to the fact of people abusing pain medicines they have ruined it for us the people that truly need them."

Roxicodone (oxycodone) "I have degenerative disc disease and I'm in constant pain. My doctor gave me this medicine and it works very well. I can now do what I could not do before. I would recommend this medicine to anyone in severe pain."

"I have been taking Oxycodone 30 mg for about 4 years now. I have chronic pain issues (arthritis, scoliosis, neuropathy, bulging disc, bone spurs, and many other pain-causing conditions). I also have been diagnosed as having rectal cancer in October of 2014. I have had only one bad side effect with this medicine, and that is constipation. I now take Miralax every day, and I no longer have constipation. This medicine does take away the pain. I am glad I no longer take Vicodin, as it was wrecking my liver and kidneys because of the acetaminophen."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I started taking OxyContin over 3 years ago for chronic pain in my back, left leg, and foot. I have peripheral neuropathy, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, sciatic nerve injury, drop foot, and I have been told I have pinched nerves. All I know is that I have pain. I started taking 40 mg 3 times a day, then 80 mg twice a day, and now my doctor has me on morphine sulfate 100 mg 3 times a day. He said to do this I won't need to continue raising the dose of the OxyContin. The morphine sulfate has not helped as much as the OxyContin."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "As a medical doctor with a practice specializing in the management of acute and chronic pain, I find, from experience, that this medicine has sufficient pain-relieving attributes, but in return comes with a high risk of dependency."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I am a 47-year-old male who has taken this drug for 10 years (300 mg per day, every day). Yes, it will ease pain, but normally after 2 to 3 years you have to increase it. I was medically dependent within months. In late fall '09, the medicines just lost their effect by at least 50%. So I was faced with a 50% increase in medicines. I said NO! So I tried a medical detox place to start. After 90 hours there, they said, 'You have done great, we are sending you home.' I was so proud till 4 a.m. the next day. I threw up 90 times in the next 60 hours. I lost 34 lbs. in 8 days and had severe withdrawal symptoms for 2 more weeks. It has been 30 days since I started this, and I will never put that poison in my body."

Roxicodone Intensol (oxycodone) "No other medicine helps me get through my pain and through my day like oxycodone. I have been in 2 horrible car accidents and have tried many pain medications, and oxycodone is the only medication that completely takes away my lower back pain. It is a shame that so many people abuse this drug because it works miracles for chronic back pain."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I have been on OxyContin for over a year now, and it has helped me tremendously. Although I only take 30 mg XR three times a day and IR for breakthrough pain three times a day, I am not in pain most of the day. I awake in the morning feeling crappy, but take an IR, and within half an hour, I am fine. I do not feel 'high', I can function normally and even care for three grandchildren I am now raising. So, without this medication, I'd be on short-term pain medicines that do nothing but make you sleep. I was on Roxicodone for a year as well, and they took me off at my request because I needed pain medicines for the long term. I thank whoever is responsible for finding this medication for us, who depend on it, to let us lead normal (best of our ability) lives."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "Xtampza ER 13.5 mg has worked great for me! Although it doesn't last the whole 12 hours every time, it still does the job. I also have to double the dose sometimes and take it with peanut butter. I was on oxycodone, 15 mg 5 times a day and felt I needed more. Plus, it was hurting my liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. Now Xtampza changed all that. I'm asking my doctor for a higher dose at my upcoming follow-up."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "I started Xtampza a week ago. I have chronic pain in general but usually stays in my upper back to lower. After just 4 days my knees are swollen. I can’t bend my right knee. I have zero additional pain relief as I am on oxycodone IR. This medication is extremely expensive-$1200/60 36mg caps. But luckily my insurance covered 100 percent. Because after reading reviews... I will not take these anymore. I’m calling my pain management physician tomorrow and requesting oxycodone 40 mg bid. My insurance won’t cover but with a coupon it’s $250 a month for generic. Definitely worth the money because it works! This Stampza needs to be off the market! And the big hoorah is that it’s tamper proof?? So is Oxy ER?... so really??... cmon."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I was taking OxyContin after 2 shoulder surgeries. Then I was in a bad auto accident. Even upping me to 80 mg 2 x daily wasn't enough. My doctor suggested OxyFast for breakthrough pain, so I tried it. This was the only combination that took away all my pain, so I could work and care for my family. At 29 yrs old, I thought my life was over, but these 2 medications gave me my life back!"

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I'm a little skeptical because I actually withdrew a little from MS-Contin (morphine) when I switched to OxyContin. So far, it is working, but I hear morphine is the more potent of the two. MS-Contin stopped working after 3 or 4 months. So, 5 days into this OxyContin, it seems to be helping. I'm staying hopeful."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "After a series of operations on my lower back, the nerve scarring caused chronic pain. After being prescribed one pain medication after another, I was finally referred to a pain specialist. In 2000, I was put onto OxyContin at 30 mg twice a day. After less than 3 months, I suffered very bad withdrawal symptoms after missing the morning dose. The pain during those hours seemed to increase tenfold. By 2003, the dose had increased to 60 mg three times a day. I have now been taking OxyContin for 9 years. I still have breakthrough pain that keeps me from most activities, and my heart and lungs have been affected. I would like to stop taking the medication but have bad withdrawals."

"I am a 59-year-old who has follicular cancer plus chronic fatigue syndrome. I was on SR morphine tabs but had bad reactions to it, so I was put on oxycodone oral 10 mg as needed, plus 20 mg of OxyContin twice a day, and the change in me is brilliant. Everyone who knows me says, 'Have they cured the illnesses?' as I look and feel great. They have not cured me, but the tablets have given me a new lease on life."

"Was prescribed KVK brand 5 mg oxycodone for kidney stones. The medicine is of very poor quality. It was as if I was taking nothing stronger than Ibuprofen. I have had other post-op pain medication prescribed and the difference in efficacy is dramatically different. I have taken a survey (unofficial) with family members friends and acquaintances and every single one that was prescribed the very same KVK meds have all said the same thing. Little to no relief for the condition they were treated for. It either is a poor quality of oxycodone or the fillers interfere with the absorption rate of the medication. All but 2 of the people that I've asked about this particular med were not opiate dependent nor accustomed to taking pain meds of any kind OTC or Rx. They all reported the same terrible experience. Please look into the formulation of this drug. There's something very wrong with this picture."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "In 2000, I had 4 surgeries to repair an anal fistula. The surgeries were successful in that they did repair the fistula, but they also left me in severe chronic pain. Pain in the rectum area is very difficult to treat. I've been to numerous doctors in Columbus, where I live, and only 2 were willing to prescribe OxyContin. When I was taking the OxyContin, the pain was much better and I could actually sit down at a desk and do a job. Then the last doctor took me off because I'd been taking them for so long, and now I can't find a doctor to prescribe them again. Consequently, I'm back to suffering with terrible pain because doctors are afraid to prescribe OxyContin in Ohio unless the patient has cancer, which I don't."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I have been on this medicine for about 11 to 12 years and found it to be the most effective and most tolerable for me. I have had to have my dosage raised over the 12-year period and take 210 mg over a 24 hr period, which is quite high. I don't believe I will have it raised from this level though because eventually the higher dose won't work either, so I have decided that I will just have to live with some degree of pain and limit what I'm able to do. I also feel it causes erectile dysfunction and have talked to many others who say the same thing. I believe it affects many more than the 1% they claim with erectile dysfunction. Probably closer to 98% in reality."

"Oxycodone recently has shown to be far move effective from recent studies to treat “nerve based pain”, aka neurological pain, much more than once thought. Oxycodone has addictive qualities more than most I’ve been on, but have no issues with that and find it to be a great medication for pain management for right people. It’s a drug that’s been around for a while and well studied, which is why it’s still often used. Way less side effects n more effective than morphine n grand scheme of things."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "Do not expect Xtampza to relieve pain similar to an Percocet. I had severe knee arthritis bone on bone grinding, but needed to continue working as a lab technician. So I was on my feet walking 50% of my day. After 3 weeks of Xtampza and the pain just continuing I went back on to Percocet. I was taking 13.5mg Xtampza twice a day with little to no pain relief. Went back on to 7.5 percocet three times a day as needed and I was able to continue working for 6 months while waiting for knee replacement surgery"

"I found KVK Tech brand generic oxycodone may be 50% less effective compared to other generic oxycodone. I actually looked up to see if they were still a valid company. I also told my doctor I did not want oxycodone from this company. I was in acute post-surgical pain and got a 15-day supply of 5mg twice a day of Roche Oxycodone which helped. When I renewed my prescription due to pain for another 15 days at a different pharmacy I was prescribed the KVK Tech brand and was dismayed to discover I couldn't receive the same relief unless I exceeded my prescribed dose. I told my Doctor and with my third prescription of the same dose Roche Pharmaceutical again provided me with enough pain relief with half the tablets. This is the first time I have been so sure of the inferiority of a drug brand."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "Using 20 mg OxyContin x 3 tabs a day, it's very good for pain, as good as morphine, I believe. At first, I felt sick and puked repeatedly, after 4 days, nausea settled down. I've been on the same dose for 5 years. The way I did it is to expect and live with some pain, if breakthrough occurs, then lie down, deal with that, and do not up the dose. For the most part, it works well. There are no prescribing issues as I am in the UK, and there's no problem here, and it's OC that I get and not OP. Overall, a decent painkiller if used sparingly, try to resist the extra breakthrough meds."

"I have been on 4-5, 15 mg oxycodones a day for the last 2 years, and I finally have my normal life back. The prior 12 years, I was in and out of the ER and hospital more than I can count. I just know in 2014, I was in and out a total of 14 times, with a GI surgery. In 2004-2006, it was about 128 days total with a surgery. I have a very odd birth defect in my GI system. Without the painkillers, I would end up in the ER 1-9 days every couple of weeks with level 10+ abdominal pains that would cause uncontrollable vomiting for more than 11 days at a time. No fluids would stay down, nothing. I would be bedridden to the point the paramedics would have to come carry me out of the house to the ER."

Roxicodone (oxycodone) "I have been using this medication for about 6 months. Roxicodone 30 mg every 4 hours. It does work great, takes the pain away within a short time period, about 15 minutes once taken. I have had 17 surgeries and have been unable to do a lot of things until I started taking this medication. I don't feel tired or get a 'high' feeling. I am happy I found a medication that works for me. Only one bad thing - I had when some of my medication was stolen. I had to stop taking it. I thought I was going to die - I was in bed for 3 days. Like they say on this site, put all your medicines up and follow the directions. I wouldn't want anybody to have to go through withdrawals on this medication."

"I have low back pain and down my right leg from osteoporosis, arthritis, and degenerative disc disease. For two years, I have cried most of the night in severe pain. This medicine takes about 45 minutes to kick in and lasts about 3 hours at 5 mg. The problem (I think) is that my doctor will not raise the dose, which I understand, but only allows me to take it every 12 hours. After about 3-4 hours, I'm in severe pain again and just watch the clock and cry. The label on the bottle says every 4 hrs as needed but will not refill if I take more than 2 a day."
