"Given a prescription for 400mg/day for 28 days of Norfloxacin by Urologist to treat UTI/prostatitis. I am over 65 years old and was not warned that taking this antibiotic could lead to bad side effects. Bad side effects only became evident after almost completing the 28 day course. While it seems to have cured my UTI/prostatitis, six months after finishing course I'm still suffering side effects such as tendonitis in shoulder, joint, hip and back pain. I did not have these problems before taking Norfloxacin and can only hope my body will eventually rid itself of unpleasant Norfloxacin side effects. I advise others to quiz their medical practitioners about using alternative antibiotics before accepting Norfloxacin, particularly if you're over 60 years old or have other medical issues."
