Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’ve been on this pill for 2 months now because I couldn’t take the combined pill anymore due to elevated blood pressure. I absolutely hate this pill and am switching to the implant next week. I am on my period all the time (like 3 weeks out of 4) and get terrible cramping constantly. I also get nauseous and feel like I am losing hair. For me, this pill is just not working."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I have been taking Errin for a week now. I started it the first day of my period. I usually have a 2-3 day period, but it stayed on for 6 days, it wasn't heavy. I get emotional due to the pill, I have lost weight, and I also notice my bottom is getting rounder! I'm experiencing light cramping, my hair is still intact, and no acne. I will follow up with you guys in about a month if there are any changes..."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've only been on this medication for 1 week, and I've gained 10 lb. I haven't gained weight in over 5 years. I'm extremely bloated, water retention, headaches, and severe cramping. I want to give it a chance, but I'm 42, and these symptoms aren't tolerable. I feel bipolar and on edge. I'm scatterbrained and very emotional. No bueno!"

Norethindrone for Birth Control "This is awful. I am 25 years old, and this pill has made me gain over 20 pounds in half a year. I bleed every other week heavily, and it's never red anymore, it's always dark brown. I have terrible and extreme cramps, worse than I've ever had too! My acne is next-level bad, and a rash started appearing on my shoulders, chest, neck, and back. My skin is super dry and weird too. I had to go on this birth control because of my migraines, but I absolutely hate it. I have never had issues like I've had on this pill before. I will be trying to get on something else soon."

Norethindrone "This pill had changed my life! After suffering for nearly three years with unbelievable childbirth-level pain with each cycle and taking a ridiculous amount of Advil each month, I decided to try this pill. The first month had some unpredictable light bleeding, and I would have a light headache each evening (not too bad at all). After that, the headaches went away, and when I get my period, it's very, very light with very, very mild cramping, and sometimes I don't get a period at all. For me, this is a major life change. No more crazy pain, no more destroying my body with pain meds. I've been on it for over 4 months now. I take this pill in the evening at EXACTLY the same time. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found it. I no longer spend hours online trying to find something that will help with my adeno and endo pain. I hope it works for you too!"

For Birth Control "Took norethindrone under the name 'Movisse.' Started February 2023 and was so amazed and relieved that it wasn't giving me the unbearable side effects that I experienced on the combination pill! I thought I'd found my holy grail! I was thrilled. About 2 months in, the unbearable side effects started. I was having panic attacks out of nowhere, so intense that I couldn't function. Periods became extremely unpredictable and painful. Until this pill, I'd never had issues with regularity or with pain regarding periods. Constantly edgy and nervous. I lost interest in sex and essentially lost the ability to have an orgasm. Plagued by weird thoughts that I knew had no basis in reality. The worst part of it all was that I was always on the verge of throwing up. And it got to the point where it was so debilitating, I couldn't go anywhere, couldn't care for my child, couldn't work - unbearable. Finally, I stopped the pill a few days ago and can't believe how much better I feel!!!"

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Started May 8, and two weeks later had a full-blown period with bad cramping, lots of blood clots, and heavy bleeding. Prior to taking this medicine, I had extremely light spotting once every 4 to 6 weeks. According to the FDA, I should not have been taking this since I was postmenopausal."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I started this pill at my six-week postpartum mark after my second child. I’m 29 and never really had issues with my cycle. This is my first time using birth control since I was 17. I also take Bupropion, an SSRI, for PPD. I was feeling okay the first month. I got a normal cycle, with minimal cramping, but serious mood swings. The second cycle came, and the gates of hell emerged from my uterus. I honestly thought I had a miscarriage because I passed plum-sized clots for three days and felt like my uterus was put into a blender. I went to the hospital and had all the tests done, and they told me it was a heavy period. Well, I’m two months from that date, and I’ve not bled for maybe a week in three months. The cramps are bad, the mood swings are affecting my personal life, and I can’t seem to keep the bloating off. I have an appointment in a week to get it changed. I would absolutely not recommend this to anyone."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "Don't let reviews scare you, everyone's body will react differently to different types of BC. That's why there are so many types. I have been using Micronor for 7 years. The first few months, I had the regular side effects your body has when adjusting to the hormone changes (cramps, bleeding, bloating, tender breasts, etc.). After 3-6 months, my body was mostly back to normal. You need to take the pill at the same time every day. If you don't take your pill on time, breakthrough bleeding could happen. This pill is not for you if you cannot keep a consistent schedule when it comes to taking your BC. Irregular bleeding and inconsistent periods will most likely happen. Personally, it made my periods better since my cramps before would cause me extreme agony. Coming down to sex, I have used condoms, pull out, or full unprotected sex and no pregnancy. The pill is 91% effective, not 100%, so don't be upset if you get pregnant. Having sex always opens the chance of pregnancy."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Stopped the bleeding but had dizziness and mood swings. Even one outburst of anger. Also, abdominal cramps. But for one week so far, 100 times better than the last 2 months of bleeding. I am 58 and use an estrogen patch. Also, Prometrium, but not enough to balance the unopposed estrogen, which caused a thickening of the lining."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have taken the pill for 26 days. The 27th, I have decided to stop! I have been bleeding heavily for 26 continuous days, plus cramping, headaches, absolute lack of libido, bigger sore breasts, need to sleep 5 extra hours per day (naps all the time), extreme sadness, vaginal dryness despite the bleeding, heavy legs, general growing fatigue, and incapacity to function normally! I switched to another pill (Lolo from Actavis), and so far, so good. I am thankful for the reviews here because I did not feel alone or getting crazy with such painful side effects. The extreme sadness was really odd. Lolo is not a mini-pill, but it has a low amount of estrogen. I am hopeful. I could not move with Micronor despite being very active normally."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Started 3 nights ago to help with heavy periods. This pill has made me have very heavy clotting, cramping, and bleeding through heavy pads every 1 - 1 1/2 hours at night. Went out to lunch yesterday, and within 1 hour, had soaked a heavy pad and blood down my leg. I’ve only been on this 3 nights, and usually by now my period would be almost over. I really don’t think I should continue, I do not need this for birth control, trying to help with heavy periods, and this is the worst I’ve had in years. I’ve taken more Advil in the last 3 days than in the last 6 months due to heavy cramping. I think I’m stopping this today!!!"

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I was on this pill for three days. I started taking it 4 weeks postpartum as directed by my doctor due to breastfeeding. Experienced horrible stomach aches, similar to food poisoning. I started bleeding very heavily and had severe cramping. I became very moody and experienced stomach bloating and gas. I am 24 hours free of this pill and feel 100 times better."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "First, I want to remind everyone that we all react differently to medications. If I would have gone off these reviews, I wouldn't have ever started taking this birth control, let alone any of them. I have been on it a month now. The first week, I had very high anxiety levels, which was difficult to push through, but after 10 days, it subsided. I do notice I am bloated pretty much all the time, but with time, I hope that will pass as well. I have had mild cramps every now and then. Otherwise, I am fine. Don't let bad reviews scare you off. I would recommend this pill."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I never post here, but after the nightmare this BC put me through, I had to. Started Errin in 4/20, the doctor refused to give me any more combo pills due to high BP. I was put on Errin. 6/20 came around, I noticed my periods were lighter, but my cramps were crazy. I dealt with it and thought it was that one time. THE NEXT FEW MONTHS are a BLUR. I was out of it most of the time when my period came around. Pain in breasts, moody, 30 lb weight gain, bloat, nausea, dizziness, headaches, but THE PAIN in my ovaries back and uterus-out of control. I stayed on these for a year, until 4/21, I couldn't go to work because the pain went from happening during my period to EVERY DAY. I was miserable and felt majorly depressed. I was scared. When the doctor suggested I switch to Slynd after not finding anything wrong, I decided to give it a go, thinking Errin wasn't the problem. 3 months later, the pain is gone. I should have known. I went to the ER for this 5 times. I do NOT recommend. If in doubt and you feel off, check your BC."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I am not allowed to take a combo pill because I have migraines. I started Micronor, and it has been terrible. I get my period every two weeks, my breasts are extremely sore all of the time, and I'm constantly spotting. I am also irritable, moody, and have cramps all of the time. Before I started it, my period was always on time...predictable to the hour it started. I don't think it's worth bleeding constantly and being irritable and depressed...so I have stopped. Back to condoms it is."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "My first period on it was heavier than normal. After that, I was spotting for several days, which I have never experienced. This past month, I have either been bleeding or spotting, and it's incredibly frustrating! Lots of random cramps as well. My mood has been up and down, which is also frustrating."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "Been on this for 3 months now. Only taking this pill because I am currently breastfeeding and have no other options, really. I've had probably 6-8 periods since I've started this birth control. I'll bleed for 6-9 days, stop for less than a week, and start the process all over again. The bleeding is heavy. I've gained some weight. The acne is terrible and extremely painful. I've developed constant cramping and occasional heart palpitations. Oh, and the hair loss. My god. I have to empty my brush 2-3 times when I brush my hair, and clumps come out in the shower. The worst side effect I have encountered on this pill is the moodiness. I get so angry for absolutely no reason and catch myself freaking out over the littlest things. The side effects of this pill are terrifying. I've been on numerous different pills as well as the depo over the last 11 years, and this is by far the absolute worst. I would never recommend."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "Just started my 2nd month. The 1st week and a half, I had light bleeding every day. Then, the next week, my nipples were so sore. Now, this past week, I've had on-and-off light bleeding and cramps during the last week of pills. I have no side effects emotionally, which is great, because everything else makes me go crazy. But, I have noticed a little weight gain and craving food all the time, and I jog 3 to 4 times a week. I am 24, no pregnancies ever. I'm not sure about this pill yet. I'll give it another month and see how it goes. I don't even want to be on birth control, but my cramping and periods are so terrible without it."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Well, ever since I was 13, my periods were not normal, they would last for more than a week. I would get horrible side effects, such as nausea, cravings, cramps, you name it. I got extremely tired of it, and I was prescribed Nora-Be. It's been good to me. I started it while on my period, I only bled for two days! Not even bad! It was a small spot and done. I felt so relieved!!! I noticed no weight gain, and I felt great. I get no side effects from it, but if I do, which is rare, it's breast pain. I recommend this, but of course, everyone's body is different!!! P.S. I've been on it for ages."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I am anemic. My doctor put me on the medication to stop my period so that I could rebuild my hemoglobin. I took 5 mg for 3 weeks. It gave me a low-grade fever, extreme vaginal dryness, and elevated ALT (liver issues). When I stopped taking the norethindrone, I developed severe cramps. I have to take Aleve daily because of the excruciating pain. I don't know what I'm going to do. The pain is unbearable. I wish I hadn't taken these pills."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Norethindrone... OMG! I want to scream. I was given this birth control to control heavy bleeding and painful cramps due to endometriosis. This pill has caused acne, prolonged bleeding, and cramps. My cycle now lasts 15 plus days, and with the bleeding, I have cramps. Now I have low hemoglobin levels and anemia because of the loss of blood. I'm 37 and don't want kids, so now I'm looking for permanent birth control. I wanted to try the IUD, but my sister had it for 5 years, and when they took it out, it broke, and she had to have surgery. Now she's having issues with her cervix and bleeding. Smh, what are we to do!"
