For High Blood Pressure "If you want to suffer 24/7 with chest pain and it will cause a heart attack if you stop taking it suddenly. My BP will on this med was 183/110. It took a year to get off this med without killing me and now my BP is 142/80. This medication will feel like it will kill you, but you will suffer first!!! I was pooping blood from this medication!!!"

For Migraine Prevention "I have been taken nadolol for a period of 4 mths for my migraines. I have definitely improved from 2 migraines a week to 1 a month. My heartbeat is at 48 but it’s not causing me any probs. I have just started to get a rash down my back which I believe has come on from this drug but my doc is saying no worries! We will see."

Corgard (nadolol) for Supraventricular Tachycardia "Corgard is a life-saving medication for me. A few years ago I had to visit the ER, my heart was beating 200bpm, and my blood pressure was 200/125. They did an EKG and gave me a heavy dose, 100mg of Corgard, and within 5 minutes everything was normal."

For Migraine Prevention "I have been getting migraines for 40 years and have tried all sorts of preventative measures and went back on Nadalol about 2 years ago. I have them less frequently but still get about 3 a month which I use Rizamelt for, sometimes successfully, other times not so successfully. I take one Nadalol in the evening as I don't like the feeling of light-headedness. I don't appear to have any other side effects."

For Supraventricular Tachycardia "I’ve been on Nadolol since 2010. I have CPVT. I was originally on 120 mg per day, and that did make me tired. In 2014 I had the LCSD procedure, and the doctor added Flecanide and reduced Nadolol to 20mg per day. I started getting horrible leg cramps at night, and learned that it was because of the reduction in Nadolol dose. The doctor had me bump it up to 40 mg per day, and my leg cramps went away. I do not seem to have any side effects from the Nadolol or Flecanide."

For Benign Essential Tremor "I have been taking nadolol for more than 10 years and I am 74 years of age now. I started at 40mg per day and now I take 80mg per day as the tremor was breaking through at 40mg. It works. Side effects are it makes me tired and my resting heart rate dropped by 10 beats per minute when I started taking it. It used to be 64 bpm and now it is 54 bpm. The problem is when it comes to sports as nadolol is a beta blocker which means it controls the heart and restricts the flow of blood through the heart. This means is has dramatically reduced my maximum heart rate during vigorous exercising like cycling. My maximum heart rate now is only 130 bpm. Nadolol controls my essential tremor but restricts the blood flow through my heart so I am going to talk to my doctor about trying some alternatives that are not beta blockers."
