PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I took one after eating and had bad stomach ache. I tried again the next morning became very nauseous and tired and had projectile vomiting and slept all afternoon. Not a good vitamin for me. My husband takes it and has no problems! Go figure!"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I started taking PreserVision on the advice of an optometrist who said she detected AMD in my right eye. I started taking it 4 months back. About 3 weeks back I started noticing that my eyes get tired quickly and my vision getting blurred. It seemed to get worse day by day. I assumed that my AMD was getting worse but does it progress so quickly? Then I read the reviews here and saw other people were getting blurred vision too. I stopped it 3 days back and it seems my blurred vision is improving. Not sure yet. I am meeting a ophthalmologist this week and hope to find out the truth."

I had an ultrasound and a CAT scan done, and everything was normal. I didn’t realize that perhaps it could’ve been the AReds2 that I started taking. After hearing all of the other comments that’s what it was. I am ask my eye doctor, what she recommends and she told me about another vitamin to take. I have just ordered some and I have stopped taking AREDS 2"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I don’t normally write reviews, but I wanted to share a positive experience with AREDS 2 to that my mom and I both had. My mom was first prescribed AREDS 2 by her optometrist after her cataract surgery at the age of 75. She had no issues, or side effects from this vitamin supplement. After her follow up appointment with her eye doctor and the positive benefits it was doing for her eye condition, I also started taking them at the age of 45. I have been taking them now for 8 years and through laser surgery, my doctor was impressed on how fast my eyes healed. I haven’t had any reactions or side effects from this vitamin supplement either, and I believe it has also helped in keeping my eyes moist and from drying out. My review is to say, that AREDS 2 has helped and worked as described benefits for our family, and we have been very fortunate not to of had any of the allergic reaction’s that have been noted and discussed in the previous reviews and warnings."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I took Areds 2 religiously twice/day probably about 8 years. When zinc became popular for Covid prevention I googled & realized I was getting twice the recommended dose of zinc in Areds. I then saw I had several of the rare side effects of Areds. The only one I can definitely attribute to Areds is breast pain which went away when I stopped taking it. Joint pain, trouble going to sleep, low energy & weak feeling could be age. Retinal dr. was almost rude when I told him and asked about only taking 1/day. Eyes hadn't gotten worse while on it. Haven't had exam since stopping it."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "After noticing a decline in vision that I was told is normal for my age I tried a bottle of Preservision once and noticed some blurred vision but no noticeable improvement overall. A couple years later I decided to try again starting with two bottles. (Since I usually do not have bad reactions to supplements and I had taken these previously.) Immediately I noticed mild to severe nausea after every pill. I stopped taking them and tried again a few times taking one a day. Still no improvement in nausea and some blurred vision. I regret purchasing two bottles and will definitely be more careful with supplements in the future."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "This drug gave me the worst constipation I've ever experienced. I drink a pot of coffee every morning and after I have a bowel movement without fail like clockwork. Not on this drug! I took this drug 1 gel capsule per day for 3 weeks before I realized this was the drug causing it. The constipation was so severe, it took two Enemeez in a row and it was the most painful pass of my life. I've been off of the drug for 3 days now and it's getting better, but WOW! Avoid this drug like the plague!"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I’m 65 and thought this would be good insurance for keeping my eyes healthy. I still have 20/20 vision after seeing the optometrist last month, and thankfully no eyesight problems. However my Mom and I also think my Grandmother were both diagnosed with Macular Degeneration. What a mistake! Less than 30 minutes after taking one of these capsules, I had awful abdominal pains, and felt sick to my stomach! I am just going to throw them away … Not going to risk ruining another afternoon feeling this badly! Surprised that an OTC vitamin like this would cause such serious side effects."

Then I got a floater for the first time. That’s when I found this forum and started reading about other side effects. Constipation. Yep. Headaches. Yep. PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "My doctor advised that I had the very early signs of macular degeneration and suggested Areds2 ( one per day in the morning). A week later I had a terrible dizzy spell. Thought maybe it was just from the heat. However two days later was sitting in the house and had another terrible dizzy spell. The only thing I could contribute it to was Areds2. Stopped taking them and have not had any additional dizziness. I have since talked to others who have taken this drug and they advised they stopped taking it due to various issues they experienced."

I found that I needed to take them with food as they upset my stomach. Now I have begun having severe diarrhea, running to the bathroom. I won't continue taking these. I already have a problem losing weight and feel this med may be to blame."

Estroven (multivitamin with minerals) "I took Estroven for a month for delayed sleep, painful periods, brain fog, and fatigue. I noticed I started feeling better. I could sleep better, brain fog decreased, energy increased, and periods were less painful with no headaches. I felt I had found the right pill. Only after my periods, I got terrible constipation and headaches. It was so bad that I wanted to go to the emergency room, but I took a stool softener and got some relief. I stopped taking Estroven, but even after a week, the constipation hasn’t gone away completely. I did some research and it turns out Rhodiola Rosea, the main ingredient in Estroven, could change the gut microbiome. It definitely altered my gut microbe, hence the constipation won't subside immediately. I really do like the way I felt on Estroven and hope I can continue using it if I can remediate my constipation."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I have used Areds 2 for at least 4 years with little problem but in the last few weeks have had extreme leg pain to the point that walking is difficult. I only take Areds and B/P medication and after talking to my Dr who has never heard of this problem with Areds we changed my B/P meds which did not help. I researched on the computer and found that Areds can cause this problem. I have stopped the use of Areds 2 and after a week my pain is so much better. Have other people had any similar issues. I wish there was better documentation!"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "Bought this product 8-11-2022 at Costco store, was suggested by their pharmacist. Since I was diagnosed I have cataracts on both eyes. Go home same day take 2 pills as it suggested after my meal, threw up about 20 minutes later. 8-12-2022, only ate cereal, after that took 2 pills as it suggested, threw up about 20 minutes later. 8-13-2022, only ate steamed rice, after that took 2 pills as it suggested, threw up about 20 minutes later. Today 8-14-2022 I’m going to stop taking this PreserVision AREDS 2, this product to me is like a food poison, it made my stomach upset and made nauseous and threw up. Not good. Will take the bottle back to Costco and get my money back."

Centrum (multivitamin with minerals) "I’ve been taking this for a week now and I really can notice big difference when waking up and all day long. I don’t feel tired or have mood swings. I also take lexapro as well which I’ve been on it for almost 8 years now. I do believe that an antidepressant cannot be taken alone without any supportive drug along with it, either drug or vitamins."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I took this for macular degeneration and I would feel awful after taking just one ARED2,,, Stomach aches, and pains, couldn't function for about 90 minutes. So, I began taking the pill with food. That helped. But, after about three weeks I was getting acid reflux. I thought it was Orange juice, thought it was tomatoes. I eliminated both of those foods and yet I still had the acid reflux. And it was getting serious. Waking me up at night. I believe it was the AREDS2. I have stopped taking it and will not go back. The company states that it helped 25% with the 'risk' of Macular Degeneration. Not worth it to me."
