PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "Why are there toxic fillers in this supplement ? And not one but few! Very sad, that hardly can find pure ingredients in supplements. This was recommended by my ophthalmologist. I’m glad I read others experience with it. I’m not surprised! Why do we need so much (carmine) coloring on a pill??!! Titanium dioxide??! And it’s expensive to!!"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "Eye doctor wanted me to start taking these as a precaution against macular degeneration occurring in the future. He had me take another brand last year which I threw out after two days due to nausea and sweating. Tried this brand for two days, once a day with food. The first day I developed diarrhea which I didn't associate with the pill. The second day, I had nausea, diarrhea, stomach cramps, lethargy and weakness. This stuff is horrible and once again threw out the bottle. I have been doing research for natural ways to help protect against eye problems and there are many sound recommendations for the Mediterranean Diet which I will try."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "After noticing a decline in vision that I was told is normal for my age I tried a bottle of Preservision once and noticed some blurred vision but no noticeable improvement overall. A couple years later I decided to try again starting with two bottles. (Since I usually do not have bad reactions to supplements and I had taken these previously.) Immediately I noticed mild to severe nausea after every pill. I stopped taking them and tried again a few times taking one a day. Still no improvement in nausea and some blurred vision. I regret purchasing two bottles and will definitely be more careful with supplements in the future."

I have diverticulitis and I thought perhaps it was due to that. I had an ultrasound and a CAT scan done, and everything was normal. I didn’t realize that perhaps it could’ve been the AReds2 that I started taking. After hearing all of the other comments that’s what it was. I am ask my eye doctor, what she recommends and she told me about another vitamin to take. I have just ordered some and I have stopped taking AREDS 2"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I've taken Preservision 2 for seven years. (2 per day) I give it 0 stars. Since they changed to the smaller caplet, my stomach gets very sick every time I take it. And in spite of taking it faithfully, my right eye has converted to wet macular degeneration. It is impossible to know if it actually helps."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "My doctor advised that I had the very early signs of macular degeneration and suggested Areds2 ( one per day in the morning). A week later I had a terrible dizzy spell. Thought maybe it was just from the heat. However two days later was sitting in the house and had another terrible dizzy spell. The only thing I could contribute it to was Areds2. Stopped taking them and have not had any additional dizziness. I have since talked to others who have taken this drug and they advised they stopped taking it due to various issues they experienced."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Bought this product 8-11-2022 at Costco store, was suggested by their pharmacist. Since I was diagnosed I have cataracts on both eyes. Go home same day take 2 pills as it suggested after my meal, threw up about 20 minutes later. 8-12-2022, only ate cereal, after that took 2 pills as it suggested, threw up about 20 minutes later. 8-13-2022, only ate steamed rice, after that took 2 pills as it suggested, threw up about 20 minutes later. Today 8-14-2022 I’m going to stop taking this PreserVision AREDS 2, this product to me is like a food poison, it made my stomach upset and made nauseous and threw up. Not good. Will take the bottle back to Costco and get my money back."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Preservision AREDS2 was prescribed by my ophthalmologist about 23 months ago, 2 times each day. I found that I needed to take them with food as they upset my stomach. Now I have begun having severe diarrhea, running to the bathroom. I won't continue taking these. I already have a problem losing weight and feel this med may be to blame."

I don’t feel tired or have mood swings. I also take lexapro as well which I’ve been on it for almost 8 years now. I do believe that an antidepressant cannot be taken alone without any supportive drug along with it, either drug or vitamins."

The hot flashes subsided in less than a week which was huge as this is why I started taking the product. However, I have gained so much weight in my torso and belly. Like 20 lbs! PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I have used Areds 2 for at least 4 years with little problem but in the last few weeks have had extreme leg pain to the point that walking is difficult. I only take Areds and B/P medication and after talking to my Dr who has never heard of this problem with Areds we changed my B/P meds which did not help. I researched on the computer and found that Areds can cause this problem. I have stopped the use of Areds 2 and after a week my pain is so much better. Have other people had any similar issues. I wish there was better documentation!"

Not being digested, passed out with bowl movement! Not sure it it just started happening or if it had been going on all the time."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I took Areds 2 Plus Multivitamin for a couple of years with no problem. Now they no longer sell it with the multi included so I am taking the plain AReds2 formula. It causes me an upset stomach and the other version caused no problem. I know AReds2 is the gold standard but I am going to look elsewhere for similar vitamins. I have been on this version for 1 week."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I take one Areds2 chewable along with a multi-vitamin, D3, C & Collegen all together with food each day. Never had any side affects or issues. I take them as a precaution-no major issues with my eyes. I recommend the chewable for people with stomach issues & take with food."

Viactiv Soft Calcium Chews (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Calcium at my age (mid-40s) is a good idea anyway, but my doctor wants me to take D3 for my MS, and I'm so tired of PILLS! My eye doctor recommended I take Preservision 2 for preliminary macular degeneration. I have had the worse hot flashes like I was going to faint on numerous occasions. I'm 68 and it's not menopause. I thought what have I changed in the past month and these vitamins are the only thing. Quitting these immediately and will get my vitamins through healthy eating. Do NOT recommend."

Centrum Silver Women's (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Upon taking one tablet of centrum silver multimineral/women 50 plus and within one to two hours I am experiencing nausea, vomiting and shortly after (within an hour) diarrhea. PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I took this for age-related eye disease. I started getting side effects after about 6 weeks. After doing research online, I found that high doses of vitamin C & E (in the Areds 2) can cause stomach issues, night sweats, and nose bleeds. The high doses of vitamin E deplete your vitamin K - thus causing bleeding. The National Eye Institute in one of their articles on Areds 2 says- do not take Areds 2 if you already consume a lot of green leafy vegetables. The NEI did not offer an alternative."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I took this for macular degeneration and I would feel awful after taking just one ARED2,,, Stomach aches, and pains, couldn't function for about 90 minutes. So, I began taking the pill with food. That helped. But, after about three weeks I was getting acid reflux. I thought it was Orange juice, thought it was tomatoes. I eliminated both of those foods and yet I still had the acid reflux. And it was getting serious. Waking me up at night. I believe it was the AREDS2. I have stopped taking it and will not go back. The company states that it helped 25% with the 'risk' of Macular Degeneration. Not worth it to me."

I take without food and I get the same. I take other meds and I separated the pill taking, still Nausea. Where do I go to take these supplements for a serious illness? Ask doc for a antinausea med that I would have to take twice a day?"
