"I tried this twice. The first time, my blood pressure (I take Avopro for high BP) spiked. Another 2 months of OAB and I decided to try it again. This time no BP problems but bad abdominal/stomach pain, nausea and didn't help with the OAB. After 2 weeks of being sick, I decided OAB is better than these side effects! I also question why my doctor started me straight away on 50 mg instead of 25mg when I am 108 pounds?"

"I got terribly ill after taking this drug, had a terrible burning bladder infection and had to go every 45 minutes. I was in agony. I will not try this drug again as it was not worth it for me. Good luck to others."

"I have mixed incontinence. I saw results within a few days. It was awesome! A great relief! BUT my mouth was sooo dry. My sinus felt thick and not draining well. And worst of all, I had constant constipation. I used the drug for 5 weeks, hoping side effects would subside. They didn't. I decided to stop taking it, due the discomfort and concerns of the extreme dryness. Since its an extended release med, the effects lasted a few more weeks after I stopped! Too bad the side effects outweighed the benefit for me."

"This is a miracle drug for me. I have spinal cord damage and I would pee my pants several times a day and had to use poise pads all the time . As a woman I was absolutely miserable because I never feel clean. I am so grateful to my physician for recommending this drug to me"

"I have delt with incontinence for years but learned how to "deal" with it such as crossing my legs before I sneezed, running to the bathroom if I needed to cough, and wearing a thick bulky pad all day incase I started laughing to hard.. This got worse after my hysterectomy and unbearable after my ovaries where removed.. Since my body tends to reject sutures of any type doctors will only do procedures if absolutely necessary I'm not a candidate for the bladder sling... Myrbetriq is a life saver.. I have been on it for 3 months now and yes I have side effects I now take a stool softener for the constipation and make sure that I have something to drink by my bed at night for dry mouth and hard candy to get rid of the problem during the day.."

"I’d been taking 15 mg of Oxibutinin for years, it wasn’t the greatest, but the best I’d known. Then I learned that Oxibutinin contributed to dementia so I switched to Myrbetriq 6 months ago. If anything the overactive bladder (OAB) worsened on Myrbetriq, in addition to heart palpitations. Recently I purchased a product: “InControl” which lists Horsetail as an active ingredient. Much to my surprise it works better than any prescription med I’ve tried!"

"Myrbetriq is working very well for me. After one pill, I thought I felt a little relief. The second pill provided a bit more relief. I take one a day, and I haven't had any accidents. It's working very well for me with no side effects at all."

"I'm 73 year old. Had bladder lift surgery with hysterectomy. I was put on Myrbetriq 50mg. My life went downhill. Mystery issues began that Dr. didn't mention. Couldn't understand cold symptoms, headache, sinus issues, lack of energy, bedridden for a week. Took 3 Covid tests..all neg. Till I pulled out the Myrbetriq med insert in the box!! Dr said to stop taking Myrbetriq to see what happens or go to my primary. Neither doctor was helpful. Now my legs are swollen 2x their size and I'm heading to Urgent care now!"

"After a day or two of taking this my former feeling of incomplete emptying was gone and it is a wonderful feeling! However... I've been excessively tired after 1-2 days of taking it and both my mouth and sinuses are super dry which has resulted in a bloody nose that never really heals. This medication seems to do the trick, which is awesome, but with these side-effects I'm done taking it. O well.."

"Worked immediately on controlling my bladder; however, the upper respiratory hacking cough with accompanying sputum has hurt my chest and back. At times, the urge to cough has caused a choking sensation as well. Not worth the side effects for me."

"I see many comments about the cost. Google Myrbetric copay assistance and you can get the first script free (By The Way a 90 day works for the first script free) after that it will cover up to the first $50. You simply fill out the form and print the card then bring to your pharmacy. Unfortunately you can't use with government insurance."

"Started at 25mg the first month - no effect. Moved to 50mg for another month - no effect. Taking this is like taking a sugar pill. For 1/10th the cost, I can go back to oxybutynin and regain control. I liked the absence of the dry mouth, but the absence of the control is worse. I say "no effect", but it did seem slightly better than taking nothing at all, so I gave it a 2."

"I took myrbetriq after a prostatectomy and after my catheter was removed (in for THREE weeks) to try to curb the "dribbles"...On the second day, I had to stop 4 times in 30 minutes to pee...And I'm not talking about a "little" pee, I'm talking about FILLING a red solo cup every time.( I was driving) It kept me up all night trotting back n forth to bathroom. This morning, I gained TWO belt notches on my belt. I'll bet I lost 3 or 4 pounds in water alone yesterday. Needless to day, I'm DONE with this med. At this rate, I'd be totally dehydrated in the next 2 days..."

"After menopause I developed urge incontinence. My urologist gave me Myrbetriq and it stopped my incontinence completely within 1 month. However, I was also taking flecainide; found out the two should not be taken together, so I quit the Myrbetriq for about a year. After my cardiologist weaned me off the Flecainide, I began the Myrbetriq again; I'm disappointed to say that although it has helped, the results this time are not like they were when I initially took the drug. I still must wear pads and am debating whether to continue taking the drug."

"Myrbetriq does not work. It is junk. I used it for 4 months at $400 a month. that is $1600 I wasted on this product. I will tell everyone I know not to use it. The people that make these things and say they work when they don't - it is junk. I wasted $1600 on this product. I want my money back from the company"

"I have just started taking this Myrbetriq medication today. I had been suffering with burning pain and pressure in my bladder. I was also having spasms. This has been going on for years off and on. Went to the urologist today and he prescribed this Myrbetriq 50mg to me. It hasn't had any side effects and my pressure and burning went away. It's only been one day though so I will update later. I already have hypothyroidism which makes my hair fall out so I'm kind of freaked out about the hair falling out thing. I am 62 and have had a bladder lift at age 45. Urologist said bladder looks good. He seems to think it is from my hysterectomy. I am taking estradiol 1mg. He thinks vaginal dryness is causing my frequent UTIs. We shall see. The minute MORE HAIR starts falling out...I'm done."

"Tried Myrbetriq for a month for OAB and had terrible cramping that felt like menstrual cramps (I had a hysterectomy 29 years ago so it wasn't that) and diarrhea. I also had really bad headaches, vision issues and neurological issues. I also suffer from gastroparesis so when they warned this drug caused constipation, I was concerned but found I had the opposite issue. Not only was I still in the bathroom for OAB but now in the bathroom all day having bowel movements all day. I couldn't leave the house. I kept taking it, hoping the side effects would go away but had to quit when it put me in a colitis attack and sent me to the ER with non stop bleeding. This drug is horrible. On to the next drug but not until my colon heals."

"I have found Myrbetriq to be amazing for me. Have been taking it for over a year now. I take one 25mg each night and have had no side effects. I feel bad this has not worked for others. I thank my doctor for prescribing it, I had gone through so many difficulties before he started me with Mybetriq."

"After years of a soggy, smelly life, I had given up. (I am 75.) I underwent bladder tightening surgery about 5 years ago, and it really helped -- for about 4 years. Then, the disgusting world of adult diapers came back. My doctor prescribed mybetriq, and it worked almost immediately, absolute heaven!! However, as soon as the smells, pads, and diapers left, Parkinson's moved in, and with a vengeance. So, must I make a decision? Which disease is the least horrible: shaking, jerking, balance problems, and all that accompany Parkinson's -- or incontinence and all the embarrassment that condition brings? Which life is the least miserable? With myrbetrig, I can sleep through the night, watch a movie straight through, and actually wear grown up clothes -- but shake, jerk, and walk like a drunk. Which devil should I chose?"
