For Fibromyalgia "Almost killed me-literally. I am still not okay weeks later. This medication should not be on the shelf prescribed in too large of dosages and not be monitored daily-yup, that scary, and yup, called the doc, called the pharmacist-this is a very, very serious, lethal, bad reaction drug."

For Fibromyalgia "Savella has changed my life! I'm 23 years old and was diagnosed with Fibro when I was 15, and no one had ever really even heard of the disease at that time. I had extreme pain 24 hours a day. Some days I couldn't walk because of the pain in my hips or lift my arms because of the pain in my shoulders. Savella has helped me to do everyday things again. I still have small pain when it gets cold, but other than that, the pain is pretty much gone. At the beginning, I had small stomach aches and was slightly constipated, but that has since passed over the 3 months I have been on it. The only side effect I still have is I sweat when I sleep. It's not a lot, I just never used to before. But I will take those small side effects for the comfort I now have!"

For Fibromyalgia "Within the first few days of starting Savella, the pain in my arms and legs had disappeared, and I was more alert during the day. I had slight nausea and sadness as I completed the titration process, but these symptoms did eventually go away. One of the best things that happened during this time was that my weight stabilized after steadily gaining for 6 months due to the constant exhaustion. Unfortunately, my neck and back pain initially worsened but returned to my personal baseline after a few weeks. This pain has not gone away but stayed with me. My only problem may be something unique to me - it took away my drive to be active. I finally have the energy, but now have no desire. Wish I knew how to work this out."

For Fibromyalgia "At first I took Cymbalta and it really helped me for a while. I then tried Savella. I have so much more energy. I don't lie around on the couch all day. I still have to take it easy and I do have my bad days because I have Sjogren's also, but it has improved my pain and my stamina. I can even plan ahead a little bit."

For Fibromyalgia "I started on Savella in July. Have been on it for 4 months. I have had such bad hot flashes 24 hours a day. Does not decrease. Headaches, severe constipation, which I have never had in my life. Dizziness, memory loss, irritability, the worst is severe high blood pressure. When I realized it was from the Savella, I went off of it. My blood pressure is coming down. The pain is tolerable. Do not take this medication if you do not have to. It was weird how I found out the high blood pressure. I went to 3 different doctors for different things. They all asked me if I had high blood pressure. I didn't. So I drove to my PCP. He immediately put me on medication, it was so high. Within stroke zone. Please check your blood pressure."

For Fibromyalgia "I'm a 51-year-old female. My fibromyalgia was diagnosed 6 years ago in 2003. I also have neuropathy, degenerative disc disease, Celiac disease, and an assortment of autoimmune disorders. I've just completed the first two weeks of being on Savella. Only in the past few days have I noticed a very slight easing of my pain. The side effects that I am experiencing are: dry mouth, increased headaches, some blurred vision, increased tingling, mild constipation, some short-term memory problems, moments of confusion/disorientation, and a few episodes of increased heart rate. I've decided to continue with the Savella, at least for 4 more weeks, as long as I can tolerate the side effects. Of course, it's my hope that I'll see more reduction in my pain levels as my body adjusts to taking the Savella. In the past, I've tried to take Lyrica two different times. However, the side effects from it were simply unbearable."

For Fibromyalgia "I have taken Savella for 5 weeks, 50 mg bid. It definitely has helped decrease the pain and helped me be able to live again. The first few days on it, I experienced some agitation, but after that, it was good. The only negative that I have noticed is that I have gained 2.5 pounds every week since I have been on it and have had no changes in appetite, which is very discouraging."

For Fibromyalgia "I am on day number 3 and have not noticed any changes yet, so hopefully, as I continue to use it, I will start seeing a change. I see a lot of people talking about the cost, if cost is a problem, I would suggest going to the website, and there are coupons that you can use. I use coupons on most of my medication, and it helps a lot, so anytime you are prescribed medications, always go to their website. The coupons usually last for about 10 refills, but when they expire, you can always get another one. Hope this helps."

For Fibromyalgia "I have been taking Savella for about 3 weeks, and it has made such a difference in my life. I felt like I was ready to just give up for the last year, it was getting so hard to push through the pain and being tired and sleepy all the time. I went to my doctor, and she gave me Savella and gave me my life back. I have suffered no side effects yet, and I hope I don't because I haven't felt this good in a very long time. If you haven't tried this, please do... it could change your life."

For Fibromyalgia "Just started Savella about 2 weeks ago for my fibromyalgia pain. It has relieved my pain some, but not liking the side effects at all, which have included dizziness, abdominal pain and discomfort, and anxiety. Still trying to weigh out whether this script is worth taking or not. Going to finish up dosage and then make a decision from there."

For Fibromyalgia "I loved this medicine. It worked extremely well for my fibromyalgia symptoms. Unfortunately, I had some severe side effects and had to stop taking it. Blood pressure up to 187/90 and severe headaches even after a month on it. If you only have minor side effects, this may be well worth it for some."

For Fibromyalgia "I have suffered from chronic Lyme disease and fibromyalgia for twenty years and have been on high-dose morphine, Neurontin, Lyrica, Cymbalta, and others, all of which had very bad side effects and awful withdrawal syndromes. Three weeks ago, I started Savella, but titrated very slowly, 12.5 mg/day for two weeks and now 25 mg per day. There were some pretty bad days of side effects in the first week and still some nausea and difficulty sleeping, but the benefits are much better than any other drug I've used for pain and fatigue. My pain was always at 9.5 and is now mostly around 4-6 (a vast improvement). Unlike all the other SSRIs I've tried, Savella gives me energy and new optimism!"

For Fibromyalgia "My Dr. put me on Savella after my Lyrica and Cymbalta stopped working for my fibromyalgia pain. I wish I had read these reviews before I wasted $200 on these terrible pills! My pain has been worse since starting it. I’m nauseous all the time, get cold chills, go to the bathroom 2 times every hour, I can’t get to or stay asleep even with sleep meds, and I itch all over. I have had a horrible experience with this drug and wouldn’t recommend it at all!"

For Fibromyalgia "I am a guy with fibro - one of the minority, so it seems. Tried Cymbalta, and my story is so much like everyone else's. But Savella changed my life - no fibromyalgia fog, no hurting in the morning, more energy, better outlook on life, just generally feel like a new person. The recommendation from my doctor for Savella was a huge blessing."

For Fibromyalgia "I have been taking Savella for over a year, it helped with the pain, but the side effects kept getting worse for me, not better. The profuse sweating got worse. It finally became unbearable, and I had to stop the medication. I was changing clothes 2 and 3 times a day and taking 2 showers a day due to the sweating. It also caused body odor."

For Fibromyalgia "I was only on Savella 1 week when I developed a severe reaction to the medication. It started with a migraine, and within a day, I had swelling of my throat and face. I had to make an emergency trip to the hospital."

For Fibromyalgia "I started Savella for fibromyalgia. I only took it for four days before ending up in the emergency room. It increased blood pressure, which is normally around 101/62, and now shot up to 138/98 in 4 days!!!! I ended up in the hospital with palpitations and heart squeezing with chest pain so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. This drug feels like poison to me. I just got released from the hospital and am waiting for the Savella to leave my body. It's a shame because I did feel pain relief. I have one kidney and was hoping this would be my saving grace. I don't know where to go from here. I am already on Gabapentin."

For Fibromyalgia "I have tried every medicine, and nothing worked for my pain. I have been on Savella for a little over a month now, and I am almost pain-free. Savella has given me my life back! The doctor was very careful when upping the dose, so I've just been on the full dosage of 50 mg twice a day for a week now. No adverse side effects at all. I am a 56-year-old female. The only other medicines I take are my 2 medicines for high blood pressure. My blood pressure is being monitored, and so far everything is fine. I highly recommend this. It is a miracle for me."

For Fibromyalgia "Savella was a miracle drug for me. I had tons of energy and no pain. I was able to start going to the gym and walking 5 km in a month. After going up to 50 mg 2x a day, I started to get random little patches of hives, hot flashes, and a flushed face. I stayed on it for 2 months hoping the symptoms would go away as the benefits outweighed the side effects, however, rashes got worse, so I had to go off of it."

For Fibromyalgia "Before I finished the sample pack, I was calling my doctor for a prescription. As others, I have tried any and all medications. In August, the pain was so intense I was unable to bend over, let alone last past 5:00 before having to lay down. There are side effects to all medications, it's all about your attitude. I'm always hopeful when the doctor gives me something new. Savella is the answer to my prayers. Stick it out, you will be happy with the results."

For Fibromyalgia "I have suffered from fibromyalgia for over 20 years and never even knew about the condition until I was diagnosed by my rheumatologist. After years of suffering from flu-like symptoms, fatigue, and overall muscle and joint pain, I finally agreed to try the medication. I only take Tylenol for the pain and was reluctant to go on any type of medication. My doctor prescribed the Savella trial pack, which started with 12.5 mg and up. Other than slight nausea in the first week, I have never felt better in my life. I wake up in the morning pain and stiffness-free. I thank God for Savella and hope that it works for other people as it has worked for me. Still on the 12.5 after two months and am doing great!"

For Fibromyalgia "48-year-old firefighter (I'm not one to give up), dealing with fibromyalgia symptoms for the past 5 years. Doctor prescribed Savella, been on it for three weeks and wow, what a noticeable difference when I miss a dose. It doesn't completely take away the deep muscle pain and stiffness, but it does help keep the pain tolerable so I can function, especially during cold, wet weather changes. The most notable side effect for me was the sweats (excessive sweating spells) and dry mouth, both are side effects I can live with."

For Fibromyalgia "Savella is the only medication that has actually eliminated most of the pains associated with my fibromyalgia. I was willing to tolerate the side effects the first week of taking the medication just to get some relief, and it paid off. The flu-like side effects went away after the first week, and I now feel better than I have felt in 3 1/2 years. I had forgotten what it was like not to have the deep-down burning pain in my joints and muscles and the all-over aching feeling that never went away. My brain fog has gone away, and I now can think clearly without my brain hurting. Thank you to the makers of Savella. I feel like I have my life back."

For Fibromyalgia "This medicine helped a lot with the pain. The problem was the side effects. I did not mind the weight loss, but the sweating and the high blood pressure were side effects that could not be ignored. Therefore, I had to stop taking it."
