For ADHD "My 15-year-old had been a challenge since hitting puberty. Not surprised, but his ADHD grew with him. We tried different stimulants with non-stimulants, etc., and couldn’t quite get him to where he felt himself. Our pediatrician prescribed Jornay PM at the beginning of the school year, and I was skeptical because nothing worked. The first semester went off without a hitch, and he had mostly Bs and two As! He is amiable, has a few new friends, and is nicer to his younger siblings. He says for the first time in his life, he feels what he thinks is normal, which is not up and down and all over the place. I felt compelled to hop on here and leave a review because after dinner tonight, he gave me and my wife a hug and thanked us for being good parents, even when I was being a challenge. It brought tears to my eyes! I am very grateful for Jornay PM, it has changed our family dynamic!"

For ADHD "I can't speak highly enough of this medication. It has absolutely changed my life. Being able to wake up medicated and feel steadily alert throughout the day has been the most incredible blessing. I feel like I can function the way neurotypical people do; being able to move through life in a straight line and without my brain bouncing from side to side (at least not as much). I also love that it doesn't aggravate my anxiety the way that Vyvanse, Concerta, and Adderall did when I tried those. I didn't really notice a major difference until I hit 60mg. It's made me calmer, happier, more patient with others...the list goes on. I hope it is never discontinued because I really do need it. I am finally getting recognized at work and am able to handle being fed tasks without becoming paralyzed. The world seems much brighter. So thankful."

For ADHD "I have ADHD, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis. I have tried most ADHD medications, both stimulants and non-stimulants. I found that the side effects were outweighing the benefits. My psychologist recommended Jornay PM. I started on 40 mg. I was so surprised to wake up on day one feeling rested and motivated for the first time in 10 years. After one week, I was up to 80 mg. I have been on 80 mg for the last 3 months. I had a headache during the second week while I adjusted to the increase of 80 mg. My rollercoaster of mood swings, sleepless nights, zoning out, being paralyzed or frozen, and emotional imbalances has improved. I have had major life-changing improvements since switching to Jornay PM. I am so relieved to have found an ADHD medication that really works after 50 years. Thank you, Jornay PM."

For ADHD "After trying multiple ADHD medications—Vyvanse, Concerta, Adderall—my daughter struggled with mood swings or lost her personality entirely. JORNAY PM changed everything. Taken at night, it kicks in by morning, making school prep smoother and focus easier—without dulling her vibrant personality. Appetite suppression is minimal, and its extended-release formula prevents the dreaded afternoon crash. If you’re struggling to find the right ADHD medication, JORNAY PM is worth trying. It’s been life-changing for my daughter!"

For ADHD "It works amazing!!! I 110% recommend it. I can finally get up in the morning without the stress of actually getting up (if you know, you know). I feel so much more motivated and can actually do my work! My appetite doesn't seem affected too. I still eat good food during the day, hehe. Just make sure you make a habit of taking it by 7-8pm."

For ADHD "Jornay PM is outstanding for me and my DD. Nothing has worked like this for me, and I’m 38 and have been treated for ADHD since 12. I didn't like taking meds. I’d throw them away after my parents gave them to me, but by college, I needed it and took Adderall as needed. It worked, but I went to Vyvanse 10 years ago. Vyvanse worked, but took forever to get going, and I became moody and irritable later in the day and felt terrible. It was very hit or miss… depended on how much I was able to eat. I don’t know about most ADHD adults, but when I have a bad mood day, I feel like a failure. My psychiatrist had me try this a year ago, and I first was on 60 mg of J. I was on 40 of V and was freaked I’d have issues. I took J that night and woke up the next morning with a clear head, and I was ready before I had to get my kids up! All has been great, but I had a job change, and my days are longer. My doc gave me 80 last month, and J works longer now!"

For ADHD "Ultra smooth, gradual onset and end. Nice how it works like an alarm clock pill, waking you up in the morning. If you respond well to methylphenidate, it might be a good fit to ask your doctor about. The mechanism of action makes it safer and less likely to be abused."

For ADHD "My 15-year-old has been on Jornay for over a year, and it is truly amazing. He has been under all kinds of the usual ADHD medications, and for years, we could never find the one that helped the most until now. He wakes up refreshed and motivated. It definitely changed him for the better. Grades are perfect, and the fact that he hasn't lost/gained weight or lost sleep on medications anymore is a big plus! I'm hoping our insurance keeps approving this medication because I don't know how he will manage on anything else!"

For ADHD "I am taking it because Adderall XR is not available due to shortages. At first, they tried Vyvanse, but I had severe heartburn, and my appetite went crazy. The Jornay is a lot like the Adderall, it just works. My only issue is I am not used to taking it at night, but it does seem to work when I wake up quicker than Adderall. It also doesn't taper off so quickly."

For ADHD "Originally, I was on the authorized generic of Concerta. Well, when the authorized generic stopped being developed and all other generics became available at pharmacies, I was switched to those. All of the generics of Concerta are awful, and they do NOT use the OROS mechanism. For that reason, we finally were able to switch to Jornay PM. Normally, I take a very high dose of products containing methylphenidate. My psych has started me on the 60 mg version of it. So far, it is okay, but it's definitely not as strong as a release since this brand actually releases a lot less at a time. I think the medication will work perfectly for me once I get on the higher doses. Since being on it, I've been very sleepy, but I know for a fact that the highest dose will be good. I do notice that it does somewhat help me wake up better in the morning but not well enough. Will update you guys with more info once I have my dose upped."

"I'm taking this for fatigue related to MS and other autoimmune disorders. Today is my first day. I took Jornay 20 mg yesterday evening around 6 PM. I woke up today around 7 AM. I have experienced a remarkable improvement in my morning time exhaustion! Usually, I wake up feeling so exhausted, like someone who has only had about an hour or two of sleep. I’ve been awake for about 3 hours now and have a headache coming on and had to take some ibuprofen. I have tried other meds for fatigue but they cause palpitations and worsen my Raynaud's symptoms (cold and painful fingers and toes). This is only day one, and I hope I've found the ONE. I’ll come back in a few weeks and offer up my review."

For ADHD "When compared to Vyvanse, it is not so 'in your face.' It just simply works, and I don’t feel like a zombie. You’d think since it's a stimulant that starts working in the morning, it would wake you up, however, it does not. I have found that it makes my morning much easier, as if 'I have been given extra time.' No reduced appetite, so that’s a bonus."

For ADHD "I have been taking Jornay PM for 1.5 years, and it has worked great for me. I have not had any issues. The only thing is it's expensive and hard to get the insurance to pay when switching insurance companies."

For ADHD "My child tends to plateau on his medication dosages. With that being said, the physician knew when we started, we would start at 60 mg. We’ve only had to make one dosage change, and he has been consistently taking the 80 mg, and it works well. He takes his medication at 8:30 PM every night. He takes it without food and has had no adverse side effects."

For ADHD "I’m a middle-aged adult, and this medication is amazing. Having it become effective in the morning is a game changer. I knocked a star off because it also aggravated my acid reflux, but daily Pepcid has that fully under control. I’ve tried multiple medications for ADHD: Vyvanse, Astarys, Ritalin IR, Concerta, Adderall, Adderall XR, off-label Bupropion & Modafinil. Jornay is the best for me. I am worried my insurance might stop covering it, though. They pay $500 a month for it, and there’s no way I would pay that much."
