Methylcellulose for Constipation "I have been constipated for many years and have tried many things. None has worked as well as Citrucel powder. Metamucil made me so gassy I had to stop taking it. Citrucel has no side effects for me. I like the original powder and am finding it difficult to find. I don't want to ingest the aspartame in the sugar-free one."

Methylcellulose "Took Citrucel for years with no problem (1 tab/day - I am very small/lightweight). Then my doc suggested I switch to Metamucil (1 cap/day) for more bulk when stools were loose. Did so for 2 years. Now back to Citrucel - much less bloating & gas. Also, Metamucil (brand) did not meet heavy metals safety limits, so halfway through, switched to NOW psyllium for better safety record. Same gas & bloating. Staying with Citrucel."

Methylcellulose "Citrucel helps bulk the stool when loose. I have gastric issues with coffee and milk products. I put two kitchen teaspoons in one 16.9 oz bottle of water, shake, drink over 15 min. Orange flavored. Originally, I took it daily for several weeks. Now I just take one bottle a day, maybe a second day, then I'm good for several days. (And I love my cereal and milk/lactose-free/plant whatever works.)"

For Constipation "I have been taking the Citrucel tablets on and off for 3 years now. Honestly, I don't know why I stayed on it for so long. I started Citrucel because when I had a colonoscopy done 3 years ago, the doctor told me to take it for constipation because I have ongoing, consistent constipation. Citrucel does NOT help me, nor do the other laxatives. I started taking apple cider vinegar (with the mother), and that seems to be helping my digestion and constipation."

Methylcellulose for Constipation "I have constipation from opioids, and this worked really well for me. I took the caplets, and I only need 2 caplets a day, and it works with no side effects. Really happy I found this supplement/drug!"

For Constipation "I have been using methylcellulose for several years now after a hemorrhoidectomy. I don't know what I would do without my daily intake. Keeps me regular and my stools soft and bulky! Highly recommend!"

Methylcellulose for Constipation "I find use of this product very frustrating. Results are slimy feces that won’t come out and can’t wipe off. It’s horrible."

For Constipation "Although it did seem to help a bit, the day following taking Citrucel, the joints in my fingers feel arthritic. I won't take it anymore. This has happened more than once."
