Emverm (mebendazole) for Pinworm Infection "Another cheap medication that was acquired and then lobbied to get all over the counter and other companies to stop selling the drug. Now, as the only manufacturer, the price is $1,000 per pill. This was a $5 per pill medication. And insurance has moved to prior authorization required, and they refuse to pay for it or limit the quantity. Great job, now you can stop making it because no one can afford to buy it from you. Selfish, greedy, forgot about 'do no harm.' Not a fan, will never purchase anything with your name on it."

Vermox (mebendazole) for Whipworm Infection "First dosage for me, 180 lbs, was 100 mg chewable twice a day for 3 days. Stool somewhat yellow-orange and pale on the 3rd day, many excretions large enough to clearly see to the human eye. No nausea, just some sweats, light heart palpitations, and slight shocks or spasms, somewhat like a battery. Large stools on the 5th day and normal color, strange shape. 14 days later, on the second round, many small pods and bile mucus, some flukes. No physical side effects except appetite off. Readministration was suggested or higher dose. It has thinned out the species, ready for probiotics to even out. I would use again, very effective for smaller pinworm."

For Hookworm Infection "I have hookworm 1 tablet was useless, 2 tablets a day for three days didn’t work, 5 tablets in one dose didn’t work either. These are expensive over the counter drugs that don’t get rid of hookworms. They just make big pharma rich."

For Hookworm Infection "For ladies, review above! You did not take mebendazole correctly! Of course, it did not work well for you! 100 mg 2x's per day for 7 days, some take 100 mg a day for 3 weeks, even twice a day for 3 weeks! Depending on your condition - I took 100 mg a day for 12 days - all is good - if I need to take it again - I wait 3 weeks - then take again - this is the human version of fenbendazole by Merck."

For Ascariasis "Mebendazole didn't really work for me. What did work was 20 days of albendazole and praziquantel combined, but this prescription needs to be repeated at least a few times in fairly close succession."

For Pinworm Infection "I have read reviews saying this medication is costly however in the UK it's about £8 for 4 tablets. I hope other people can find it for a better cost."

"This was a moderate-mild side effect for me. Just mildly dizzy, could still do household chores and stuff though. I was functional, unlike Praziquantel."
