"These people are worse than my 4-year-old taking medicine. I mixed it, chugged the 16 ounces of grape, salty drink, and then chewed on a lemon. Honestly, these people had me all worked up, and the stuff tasted like a bad mixed drink."

"Just turned 60 and had not had a colonoscopy in 10 years. Read the reviews and really scared me. It is what it is, and it needs to be done. Took my 1st dose at 7 pm the night before. Mixed it as directed. Used a bit of Crystal Light and drank it super cold. No straw used. Not too bad. Taste was not great, but no gagging as I've read here. Took about 1 1/2 hours to work, and the waterfall began. About 2 hours of really close bathroom time needed. I agree on the use of diaper cream, much needed. Took the 2nd dose at 7 am the day of the procedure. Worked faster, but not as intense. My test came out a-OK. Mind over matter, people. Nothing to fear but fear itself."

"This is the easiest by far. Do not worry, easy tasting (comparatively), worked just like everyone said it would, no worries, no cramps, no nausea. And I am the biggest chicken. I will never fear colon prep again."

"Doesn't taste great, but it's not that bad - trust me, compared to Golytely, this stuff is like fine wine. The good part is that there isn't much of it. Other preps make you drink like a gallon of horrid stuff."

"You guys. It’s totally not that bad at all. I read all these comments before starting my bowel prep and was nervous because of how extreme some people make it to be. It’s not. Yeah, there’s a mediciney aftertaste, but pair it with yellow Gatorade and it’s not bad. Yes, it’s drinkable. It does not taste like liquid death. I didn’t even use a straw, just chugged it down in under 3 minutes both times. This was also my first time doing any sort of laxative. It’s just like water pouring through you. I had zero stomach cramping and it didn’t burn. Just calmly emptying out. I had my gallon of water sitting next to me and I chilled in the bathroom for about an hour each time, playing games on my phone. Then it was over and I went on about my evening. The morning dose made me feel slightly nauseous just because it was of how long it’s been since I haven’t eaten, but it went away quickly when I emptied out. It is not the worst thing that will happen to you all week, okay? Good luck y’all!"

"Guzzled each 16-ounce portion at directed times, took about 9 huge gulps. Drank the required 32 ounces of water after each dose in a similar fashion, 16 ounces first, waited 5 minutes, and guzzled the next 16 ounces. Worked as it should, the taste of the product, when mixed with pretty cold water, didn't really bother me."

"I’m in complete disbelief that the general good reviews of this poison are real. I threw up 3 times and couldn’t finish the 2nd half of my prep. I have broken capillaries in my face and got a bloody nose from puking my stomach juices out. A prep for a colonoscopy does NOT go this way. I didn’t ask any questions or Google anything when the DR gave me SUPREP. I trusted him. Yeah, there was a lot of bathroom time, fine. The taste is vile. You could mix it with a million dollars and it wouldn’t be consumable. Somebody is getting paid to push this stuff, maybe they should drink it. I rated it effective because it works, you get cleaned out."

"Am 1 dose in and honestly, not been bad at all. I took lots of advice from here; used very cold water and got it down in 2-3 mins. It's lime-ish, does have a medicinal aftertaste. Straw didn't make much difference for me. I would imagine a half a teaspoon of lemonade Crystal Lite in it, or biting into a lemon or orange slice after would help. I just rinsed and started on my first of the next 2/16 oz of water. After 32 oz of water, very full. Last sip was a push, but maybe that beer chugging in college helped. Am 90 mins into it with 3 predictable trips to the bathroom, but it hasn't been with urgency that I thought would accompany it. Stomach gurgling gave me the heads up something is coming, but 'the event' is quick, and I could leave the tile haven between episodes. I did eat very lightly in the preceding days - salads, fish, fruit, so maybe that helped. But thank you all who have gone - LOL, no pun intended! - and left your thoughts and experiences; it definitely helped!!"

"I can tolerate a lot, but this stuff made me gag!!! It took all my effort not to throw it up! I’m not sure I could go through this again! I must say that it works great. But I think I would opt for the ‘old’ way if I had to do it again. Even the thought of the taste of it makes me gag!!"

"I am 67. This is what you need to know: 1. Refrigerate the water and solution, the colder, the better. 2. Wash the mixing container before the next two containers of water, the smell is worse than the taste. 3. Have at least a fresh roll of toilet paper and a toilet bowl brush, you will need them. 4. Have a package of diaper wipes, it makes the mess easier to clean up. I went two days without food just to make this job easier, I do not mind hunger. The day prior to my 7 am appointment, I drank the first round starting at 1 pm. It started to work in 20 minutes. The second round I started at 6 pm, it again was working in 20 minutes and over in about 3 hours. Prior to using the solution, I drank a lot of Gatorade, no hunger to speak of."

"Braintree Laboratories describes their product, SUPREP, as having a “berry” flavor. Not as well understood is that I think it is the oft-maligned Satanberry. Satanberry is known for its noxious odor and, if unfortunate enough to be ingested, causes Krakatoa-like eruptions of sulfurous gas and violent, firehose-like evacuations of all internal solids and liquids. Poo foam? Yes, you will probably experience this rude shock too. Anus as red as a baboon’s behind? You betcha. Aftershocks may occur the day after the actual colonoscopy. In my opinion, SUPREP is overkill for the preparation of bowel cleansing. Go for the gentler Prepopik or MoviPrep, either of which I will again insist upon for my next cleansing prior to colonoscopy."

"I took 2 Dulcolax tablets the day before prep, which worked fast. Day 1 Prep: ate a light breakfast. 2 PM bone broth, and jello. Took nausea medication with an anxiety medication. 4 PM began clear liquids. Premixed Suprep with water and topped it up with a bit of Ginger Ale. Refrigerated. 6 PM Dulcolax and began prep. Straw, plugged nose, took 3-5 big sips, sucked Italian ice pops, swished, and swallowed. Continued steps till done in 30 mins. 7 PM started water, 30 mins to finish the water. 8 PM bathroom, sipped orange Gatorade, Ginger Ale, and chicken bone broth. 11 PM bed. Alarm 3 am took meds. Alarm 5:30 am. PART 2: Cold orange Gatorade mixed with Suprep because nurse review here says it's your friend. She is right! Desitin and aloe wipes are as well! 6 am more water. 7 am bathroom. 9 am prepped. 1 more final pit stop LOL ready at 10:30 am scope. I've done lots of colonoscopies, and Suprep is the easiest I've done! Plug your nose. Use a straw and have a clear yum to taste after chugs. If you get nausea easily or acid reflux, ask the doctor for some nausea meds. As the GI doc said, 'the worst part is over'! :) Will use this again! TY Suprep!"

"I read a lot of the experiences on here. I will admit I got freaked out by a lot of them. However, this prep was no big deal. I mixed a packet of True Lime and True Lemon in with the Suprep and added the water. Drank it in 2 minutes with a straw. It didn’t taste bad at all. My only complaint with this whole thing is how much liquid you have to drink. My belly was sloshing all night. Other than that, it worked great!"

"Every BODY is different, and that's the truth with my experience with Suprep. I finished my first dose at 7 pm, and at 10:30 pm, I had my first real liquid movement. I had one or two soft solid movements before this, but for me, it took a long time. I'm okay. Watching Netflix. Finished drinking in 18 minutes. I took someone's advice and sucked on lemon wedges between gulps, which was a lifesaver for me. Since I had such a long time in between drinking the drink and the true cleansing part of this process, I did have some bloating and 'felt the drink working' in my intestinal tract, so some cramps and no movement. Now that the floodgates have opened, it's better. Early appointment. Up at 3:30 am to drink again. Not much sleep tonight."

"Tastes horrible but effective. I had no nausea or chills. I drank it at 4:45 PM and really nothing for 1 1/2 hours... then a regular bowel motion. About a half hour later, Katy, bar the door. Then the squirts till about 10:00. I got up a couple of times in the night but no big deal. At 4:15 in the morning, I suffered through the second dose. Immediate results and squirts for about 1 1/2 hours and a few sporadic times after that. It is 7, and I think I am done. Almost time to head out. My procedure is at 9:40. I hope this is it for the next 5 years. I think the worst part is not eating. I am ready for some Mexican food. A huge pile of enchiladas, rice, beans, hot sauce, and hot flour tortillas smeared with butter."

"Did SUPREP for the first time this week. After the first part (evening dosage) - I thought it was the best prep ever. Relatively easy to get down vs. prior 3 preps. The flavor was pretty manageable, it acted very quickly and was a very effective prep. I was a little queasy, but it was no big deal. All night I told hubby, “this is easy peasy!” And I got a good night's sleep - something I couldn’t do with prior preps. I woke up early for the 2nd half of prep. This was MUCH tougher to get down - I could only do about 3/4 of it, and only a little water. I finally used apple juice. 20 minutes later, the nausea was overwhelming and... up it all came. When I went in this morning for the colonoscopy, the nurses were unconcerned about what had happened - they said this isn’t unusual for the 2nd half of SuPrep. And my clean-out was fine! Would I do this prep again? In a heartbeat! An easy first part, a good night’s sleep, and knowing the 2nd part isn’t a showstopper make this a good prep for me!"

"The risk for this prep is too high! Nausea/vomiting are listed as both a bad and general side effect. There's little indication of the difference. Almost 30 hours after starting the prep, I ended up in the hospital with a sodium count near critical levels. The colonoscopy was successfully performed 16 hours after prep started. Continuing nausea prevented adequate replenishment of fluids and electrolytes post-procedure. NEVER AGAIN!"

"The GI doctor's nurse took pity on me because I was so very, very scared of having a colonoscopy and gave me a sample of Suprep. I made sure not to drink anything for at least thirty minutes before I drank each dose of Suprep and water so my stomach would have room for 48 ounces of fluid within an hour. But I drank a lot of liquids that day at other times. I didn't love the taste of Suprep, but it wasn't gag-inducing either. I just added a couple of ice cubes to chill it. It took only a half hour or so for the action to start. I had to take my second dose very late in the evening, so after things quieted down, I decided to try sleeping in my recliner in case shaving seconds off my next bathroom trip was important. I should have just gone to bed. I definitely made a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to having a colonoscopy. The doctor removed a polyp, so now I'm on the five-year plan. I likely will request Suprep the next time."

"I really dreaded this stuff. I am a wimp when it comes to eating and drinking. This stuff wasn't bad at all. I chilled it for a couple of days, then iced the water first. I extracted the ice and added the Suprep. It didn't even taste that bad. Kinda like a salty Kool-Aid. Just imagine your five-year-old made it, and drink it down. No problem. Started to work in about 30 minutes. No cramping, no nausea, not even uncomfortable. The worst part so far is the day without real food. Hoping tomorrow goes as well!"

"I’m not sure how people are able to do this. I’m 21 years old and unfortunately have to get a colonoscopy done. It took me an hour and a half, 4 water bottles, and 2 cans of ginger ale to be able to get this stuff down. It is awful. Not looking forward to doing this again in the morning. I mixed it with Sprite, but it was way too sweet, big mistake."

"I’m in a family gene pool of colon issues, so colonoscopy procedures do not scare me, having had about 5 of them over 20 years. My concern is the price of the prep! I’m retired and Medicare covered less than 1/3 of the cost. Why is this stuff so expensive? And it’s nasty but simpler than the old methods of prep, which were over-the-counter items! Big Pharma at it again, shame on you!"

"Well, this stuff doesn’t taste very good, but man, does it work. My doctor gave me good advice to help get it down. Make your 16 oz solution and drink 6 oz of it, then rinse. Wait 10 min and drink another 5 oz, then wait 20 min and polish it off. It must be cold to tolerate. I was starting the cleansing process only about 15 minutes after taking half my first dose. Don’t plan on going anywhere or doing anything until this stuff runs its course. I still have my second dose to take at 10 pm tonight. Might have to just tape a pillow to the wall in the bathroom and sleep in there. Plan ahead. Get some mobile entertainment and take care of yourselves. It’s not fun, but neither is dying if you can prevent it. So roll up them sleeves and get it done. Also, get some good butt ointment and some wet wipes."

"After watching my husband do his prep last year, I was very worried. He had to drink so much that he got to the point of almost 'drowning.' After expressing my concerns to my doctor (I cannot eat and drink much due to reflux and other problems), he gave me Suprep. I just did round 1, and other than the taste, it wasn't bad. I will be smothering Balmex diaper-rash cream on my skin, applying it in a radius a good distance from the center before round 2. I did use Aquafor (petroleum jelly) after realizing I needed it, and fortunately, I had Cottonelle moist wipes. I highly recommend preparing your bottom first and patting dry with soft tissue, towel, or blow dry. :) Do not leave your bottom wet, it gets sore. I also found baby powder to be useful."

"I followed the instructions my doctor gave me, chilled the Suprep mixed with ice-cold water and 2 ounces of lemon concentrate, and drank it all down with no problem! I think the lemon concentrate helped by cutting the sweet taste so many people complained about. Started at 6 pm and finished going to the bathroom about 10 and went to bed at my usual time! Got up at 5, took the second dose, and that went a lot faster! Was at the doctor's office for 9:30 and was on my way home by 12! Honestly, this was not the horrible experience so many people here have described. The doctor found 3 polyps, which he removed and told me they looked fine, but will know for sure when the biopsy comes back. My reason for having this done? My father is in stage 4 of colon cancer!"

"I have had so many preps in the 37 years of tests, sometimes 2 a year. Suprep is by far the best. No gallon of grossness to drink! Be prepared, it starts to work quickly. 2 hours of continuous trips, sometimes not even leaving the bathroom. Drink all the liquids you can the day before and day of prep. Gatorade is your friend. You got this!"
