"I'm absolutely content with this drug. Originally, my doctor prescribed me latanoprost and I've been sick quickly. I had a severe sore throat, and my eyes were strongly red all the time after just 10-12 days of using it. Then I came back and told about all side effects. After that conversation, my doctor prescribed me Xalatan, and I am really content now! It's my third week of using it, and I don't have any side effects. No sore throat, no headache, no weakness, no muscle pain, no redness. My eyes were just a little bit red at the beginning, but now they are all okay."

"About 4 years ago, my eye pressure was discovered to be 21 with no nerve damage. I had exams every two years prior and it was normal. Luckily, it was discovered early and I was given Xalatan, one drop in each eye daily. There was a little burning at first, but it was tolerable and only lasted a minute or so, and not every time. Now, it's very rare. After monitoring every six months for the first two years, and now only yearly exams needed as pressure is at a steady 11. No nerve damage. Though I must take this medication forever, it sure beats the alternative - developing glaucoma, irreversible damage, and blindness. Additionally, not missing any exams is for one's own benefit. Note: getting yearly physicals and exams is proactive in keeping healthy, and any abnormalities can be detected early on and treated before greater damage is done. This is a simple task, and may no one hear their doctor say, 'If we had caught this earlier...'. Take care of yourself and be safe!"

"I'm doing just fine, but then again I have a high tolerance for most things. Also, would much rather have a little burning than blindness."

"Works well so far, doesn't sting too much. Pretty expensive, though."

"Originally diagnosed with glaucoma, had laser eye surgery but over the years eye pressures increased and prescribed Xalatan (Latanoprost). No significant problems. But when the pharmacist swapped for a generic version 2 years ago, I had problems like feeling queasy, palpitations, urinary incontinence weakness, and generally not feeling well. Changed the prescription immediately back to Xalatan, and had no problems. This happened again yesterday, given generic Latanoprost and thought I would give it a further try, big mistake, terrible night's sleep, and will be going back to the pharmacist immediately for a change back to Xalatan! But if I had a choice, I would not take any of these drugs, all very powerful."
