"It stopped my feeling of acid reflux by the 3rd day. I have now been taking it for 1 month. It has changed my life, truly an amazing drug. I have another month's supply to take. I just hope I will be able to get another prescription to continue."

"I've used omeprazole 80 mg daily, which then stopped working. Famotidine made my skin burn up after several weeks. Pantoprazole caused a bad skin reaction within the first hour. Then esomeprazole 40 mg gave me a bad dry mouth and messed around with my head. Taking 60 mg of lansoprazole works the best for me out of all of them. Least amount of side effects and works the best. Been on it for almost 2 years now! Medicine is starting to work less nowadays, just need an operation on my stomach. There is only so much this medicine can help you with. I do exercise with this medicine, and my acid reflux is bad. I stop doing exercise, and on this medicine, I get better. So people need to understand this medicine can only help you so much with GERD, etc. This medicine is keeping me alive at the moment. Sad but true."

"I’ve been living with Barrett’s for 20 years. Lansoprazole has kept me living normally for the most part. I don’t think medicine alone can be 100% of the answer, you have to make lifestyle changes to complement what the medication helps control. I’ve recently had to increase from 30 mg to 60 mg per day out of precaution, but it’s still keeping my symptoms very manageable. It should be a crime for insurance companies not to cover this drug!"
