"I find Lactaid pills original work very well for me taken as directed, 3 at a time with first bite. I have extreme lactose intolerance that causes vomiting diarrhea. But Lactaid prevents those effects completely. No side effects."

"I've been unable to eat ice cream since my teens without getting sick. Other dairy was fine until I was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. I got so sick each time I ate it. I was fully off it until I found these. Not only can I eat dairy again and not get very sick, it helped fix my IBS symptoms. No idea how that happened, but I'll take it."

"I have a mild lactose intolerance. I had a cheeseburger a few days ago which usually only gives me a small stomachache, but about 15 minutes after taking this I had a MASSIVE one. The next day I thought that maybe it didn’t work because I chewed it. So I tried it again with some yogurt (which gives me a pretty bad stomachache but not crazy) and once again, MASSIVE stomachache. DO NOT TAKE THIS!"

"I have become very sensitive to lactose. Although I only eat low lactose food such as cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, yogurt it was causing severe gastric problems that were hard to pinpoint. After a few cheesey and yogurty days, I realized the association. Lactaid got me through those leftovers. Now I take Lactaid whenever eating food I don't prepare and I am symptom free. No negative side affects. I will use the little travel case when eating out. I won't be eating dairy like I was but using Lactaid gives me assurance. After struggling for years, Lactaid is a sweet solution.:-)"

"Took 2 chewable lactose tablets approximately 4 minutes prior to having sausage gravy with milk. Before I took my first bite of food, my abdomen was bloated with gas (we're talking 45-60 seconds of flatulence). This is worse than just having milk. Nausea accompanied, within another 8-10 minutes, and diarrhea within 30 minutes. I'd taken it before and it worked about half the time. One thing to note: I am on a carnivore diet for the past 4 years, so my gut biome is drastically different than what it used to be. Without taking Lactaid and staying away from milk products, I do not have gas ever. Nor do I get diarrhea. I am strict on this diet. I had no biscuits with this meal, only eggs and sausage gravy made with milk, but the symptoms started before my first bite of food and only after taking the medication. So there's an anecdotal correlation and only a possible causation. More studies should be done."

"Lactaid definitely helps when eating milk products but it also caused severe constipation as some other users have reported."

"Lactaid is a God send. One pill was sufficient for me. After not being diagnosed for 5 1/2 months of stomach agony, I am a true believer of this medication. I can't say enough good things about it."

"I have lactose intolerance and have used Lactaid for years. I get bloated and have a lot of gas. It makes me miserable and it’s embarrassing. I take 2 Lactaid chewables with my first bite of food and it works great! I either have NO symptoms or very little. I occasionally forget to take them and when I do it’s terrible so I know they help. I recommend them to people all the time."
