"In March 2023 my urologist doctor decided he needed to look into the cause of my hematuria (bleeding) in my urine. He ordered a CT urography with iohexol. During the infusion into my arm, I had no serious reactions, although I noticed an inrush of strong heat sensation in my sternum area and my chest. Later that evening, around 10 hours later, I started having strange painful heartburn sensations, and lots of belching, and a weird chemical taste in my mouth. It has been 4 days and all these issues continue. The heartburn or pain is waking me from sleep every night, it's very strong. I have never had heartburn, I'm 65 years old. I'm calling my doctor, but not confident about what they'll be able to do. Wish I never had this test as I know other tests can be done to diagnose blood in the urine."
