For High Cholesterol "I had my first injection in 1st week of April. On second week of May my right foot was slightly swollen and my joints in toes were very stiff. Unfortunately, I tripped on something quite small cleaning out my gargage. I did not fall but I fractured my third toe. It is finally healed after 5 weeks- mostly wearing a brace like shoe. I am now resuming normal walking. However, at the beginning of the second week in June, I lost my balance and simultaneously noticed how stiff my right arm and hand were so much so that I couldn't effectively break my fall. I fractured my wrist from that experience. Will be in a brace like mechanism for four weeks. I am due in 4 weeks for another injection. Not at all sure I will continue the treatment."

Leqvio (inclisiran) for High Cholesterol "Two shots so far. Both times, worse stiff toes and ankles, low back pain, stiff neck, and shoulders. First time, these resolved in about a week. Stiff toes and ankles never resolve completely along with numbness in feet as a result of taking statins. Deemed statin intolerant, which is why trying the Leqvio shot. Odd side effect both times is eye irritation that feels like a stye coming on but never develops. Doing blood work to see how results are with two shots and low-fat lifestyle (down 25 lbs, weigh now what I did in my 20s). It better help or not sure all this is worth it! (Recommend with the caveat of the above)"

Leqvio (inclisiran) for High Cholesterol "Week after second dose. So tired don't want to get up from chair. Stiff leg muscles. Pain in back and hips. The medicine works well, bad cholesterol went from 112 to 43 in one month 49 after three months. Thankful for that but side effects are hard to deal with. Questioning the third dose."

Leqvio (inclisiran) for High Cholesterol, Familial Heterozygous "I've just had my second injection. Cholesterol dropped, so that's a positive. I still have an injection site rash, possibly due to this last injection being very uncomfortable, unlike the first one. My IBS has been really bad this time too, but not sure if connected. Jury's still out as to whether I would have a 3rd."

For High Cholesterol, Familial Heterozygous "First dose in January. Injection site was painful for a good two weeks. Glad it was in my thigh. Two weeks post shot, I have been having trouble sleeping. I feel as though I've drank ten cups of coffee and am jittery. I actually quit drinking my one cup of coffee in hopes that it would solve the problem, but it did not. I guess I am not sure if it is the shot or something else."

For High Cholesterol, Familial Heterozygous "After a >99% occlusion of my LAD was detected I had a stent implanted at 43 years old. Untreated, my total cholesterol was at 360 mg/dl with LDL 260. Atorvastatin plus Ezetimibe did not lower the numbers sufficiently. Inclisiran was prescribed by my cardiologist in 2021, and 2 weeks after the first injection, my numbers are amazing. LDL has been below 55 mg/dl ever since. No side effects except for the rather painful injection. Amazing. Will undergo coronary radiography in 2024 to assess whether the good numbers translate into disease regression. (I'm from Germany where Inclisiran was approved in 2020.)"

Leqvio (inclisiran) for High Cholesterol "The Leqvio injection was a brief stop at the cardiologist's office. Typical, brief shot in the back of the arm. Easy. They held me there for ~15 minutes to ensure no injection symptoms. The nurse administering the injection did it very well. No pain or discomfort. I don't have serum numbers yet so I am unable to speak to the effectiveness, but I wish all my meds could be this easy."

Leqvio (inclisiran) for High Cholesterol, Familial Heterozygous "I could not take statins without side effects. Sore muscles aching joints. I was crying at night, could not sleep. After using Leqvio for 2 doses, I don't even need to take any statins. I also changed the way I eat."

Leqvio (inclisiran) for High Cholesterol "I was supposed to start this medication last month but I am scared of this as I was on Repatha because I was told that this could cause impairment of the lungs or sugar. Because I am quite active and wanted to stay like that. When I was put on Repatha I lost an old weight of 1 and a half stone, I am just starting to put on my weight and probably will lose it again. As far as rating this medication, I am unable to do this as I am scared of it, but I am still trying to pluck up the courage to get this, but I wanted to see if I could bring it down myself. Thank you."

Leqvio (inclisiran) for High Cholesterol, Familial Heterozygous "This is in regards to side effects of Leqvio. Had the first injection about five days ago. No pain or redness at the injection site. A bit of soreness at the injection site for about 24 hours. A lethargic feeling off and on since the injection. A small amount of muscle or joint pain in the first 72 hours after the injection. No diarrhea as yet. Slightly loose BMs. No fever. Have experienced periods of being 'light-headed', i.e. feeling faint. Have not communicated this to my physician yet. Will do so later this week. I am hopeful this injectable medication will lower my LDL and thus, my total cholesterol number."

"I am about to receive my 3rd injection. After the first injection, cholesterol went down, but triglycerides went up. Upon questioning my cardiologist, I was told that happens occasionally, but it should level out by the next injection. I had to go for a new lipid panel which showed my cholesterol was up again, but not as high, and triglycerides were down somewhat. Is this like a rebound effect? I don't know. The only side effect I had was a burning sensation as the medication was going in, and some minor aching at the site of the injection. I felt fine within 20 minutes."
