"I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I have tried multiple medications. I’ve tried Otezla, unfortunately, I was still in a lot of pain. Tremfya has really helped me. Not only has it cleared up my psoriasis, it has helped with my psoriatic arthritis. I’m no longer in pain and have no more swelling. I am beyond grateful for this medication. I have no side effects so far, and I’ve now been taking this medication for over a year."

"It sure has helped me. I have been having Tremfya injections for almost a year now, it improved my skin and scalp after the third injection. I have noticed some improvement with joint pain and swelling. The day of injection, I get fatigue, and the next day I tire easily, other than that, this injection is working great for me."

"I have scalp psoriasis and arthritis and am allergic to steroids. Tried topical, nothing worked. Took my first Tremfya injection last night, and I feel horrible, like I have been hit by a truck. Can barely get out of bed. If this is what it’s going to be like, I’m not going to take it. Not worth it. Praying I feel better tomorrow."

"I am just about to have my fourth injection. I have not noticed any improvement in joint pain, fatigue, or enthesitis. My scalp psoriasis is slightly improved. Initially, my joint pain was much worse, but now I am back to my baseline joint pain. Still waiting for any other improvements…"

"I have tried everything under the sun for my psoriatic arthritis: methotrexate, tanning beds, light therapy at a doctor's office, Cimzia injections, etc., etc. Then my dermatologist prescribed Tremfya, as I had over 80% of my body covered in psoriasis. My arms are now clear, and I haven’t been able to wear a short sleeve shirt in years."

"Last med I took was Otezla before Tremfya, but I chose the wrong insurance plan this past year and eventually couldn't afford Otezla. My rheum prescribed Tremfya then. Back to injections. I've previously taken Humira and presented with PsA while taking it. Does Tremfya work - meh. It's not controlling the PsA or P very well. I mean, I was once unable to dress myself, walk, etc., when the PsA presented, so I'm not back to that point. I wake sore and stiff. My elbows have broken out again. I also have PPP, and I don't have the pustules, but the peeling on my feet is back. I had to have mtx added back on, and this time subQ. So now I'm taking both the 8-week autoinjector Tremfya and a subQ once a week to replace Otezla. I believe the interleukin inhibitors just don't work for me very well, and the PDE4 inhibitors do. After Jan 1 when my good insurance plan kicks in, I'm asking my rheum to put me back on Otezla. Tremfya barely does anything for me."

"I have a very advanced case of psoriatic arthritis. I was switched from Orencia to Tremfya in 2021 because Orencia could no longer overcome the effects of the disease. Tremfya was slow to get traction but did begin to work. Tremfya does a fair job in reducing inflammation and preventing further joint erosion. It seems to wear off beginning in week 6 out of the 56 days. No noticeable side effects."

"I had been taking Enbrel for 20 years and switched to Tremfya. Have taken it for one month now, and it started working from day one. It has decreased the stiffness in my joint, and I feel less discomfort. I do feel more lethargic, though. Will decide next month if I continue taking it."

"I have minimal psoriasis. Bad PsA. Helpful early shots weeks 0,4,8 - improved energy, reduced pain, inflammation and increased functionality. Side effects tolerable (sinus and some tinea). Tiredness after shot (2 days). But after that, the 8 weekly schedule poor. Tremfya poops out around week 4-5, and for the next 3-4 weeks my PsA spreads further - now in both feet and hands, all fingers. Now moving to 6 weekly. Not guaranteed this will be possible long term. It's been 12 months now. I still use Lyrica 75 mg for enthesitis pain at the end of toes and fingers at night. A 4 weekly schedule would be far better. But the Australian government won't allow it (so far). I intend reporting accurately to TGA and Janssen in hope the schedule can be moved to 4 weekly. I agree the self-injection pen is terrible. Too hard to push. I once lost a dose by incomplete pressing (in the hospital, so the nurse observing said it wasn't my fault.) Janssen replaced it for free (thanks Janssen)."

"Tremfya was the worst experience. I gave it more than a year, actually 14 months, and then those 14 months I had a horrible rheumatologist put me on methotrexate, which caused chronic UTIs. She didn’t diagnose them. I suffered with a SED rate of 120, which a normal SED rate should be 30. The reason I was put on methotrexate is because I was still in severe pain with every joint inflamed while on the Tremfya. It is horrible for psoriatic arthritis, but it did work very, very well for my plaque psoriasis. If you have just a few patches of plaque but have bad joint pain, do not take this medication. Try Otezla, it has worked miracles on me. I cannot believe I suffered for 14 months with Tremfya."

"I have BOTH: psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Like most of the reviews here, my plaques are 100% gone, BUT the joint pain in hips and knees is off the charts. For years, I only had pain in my right hip, but since starting Tremfya about 6 months ago, now having bilateral hip pain, and knees have flared up as well. Like you have to choose: do you want to treat the plaques or the pain, because NOTHING has helped me with both."

"I am feeling like a new person after only 12 weeks on Tremfya. I can move my body without pain, struggled to walk, sleep, and look after my personal needs, which I've not been able to do since my 30s. I have ceased taking 6 ibuprofen per day and now starting 25g less of Lyrica I've been taking for years, tomorrow. I'm 78 years of age and only diagnosed 8 months ago. For me, it's been life-changing."

"Tremfya worked well for a short period of time, then the pain and swelling returned. 8 weeks is too long between doses. It lasts about 4 weeks at best. Maybe it's not safe to take it sooner than 8 weeks. I've been through Otezla, Enbrel, and Humira. They were all effective for about a year, then the same thing happened. I'm beginning to understand that there isn't going to be any miracles. I just have to get used to being in pain."

"Tremfya was OK for psoriasis but terrible for joint pain. Hobbled down stairs all day long, did not get better through the day, cannot walk much. Have been in aqua PT for several months. Now rheumatologist switched me to Stelara every 8 weeks, cannot wait to start it and go for a walk!"

"Totally resolved all plaques. Look forward to the shots because I feel like a superhero immediately afterward - but it doesn’t last 8 weeks. After 4 weeks, I’m right back to creaks, cracks, and pains all over, waiting for my next dose."

"I have been using Tremfya for over 12 months, started at 8-weekly intervals, found at week 7 pain was returning so taking at 7-week intervals now, but after last 6 months at week 5 to 6 pain is returning worse. I am still taking every 7 weeks as per instructions. However, every treatment I have tried, my body seems to adapt. This is possibly the 10th drug to trial."

"Tremfya was effective for my skin psoriasis and joint arthritis after four 100 mg injections (2 initial, then 2 over months). Injections are easy to administer, and disposal of the injector is provided for by a self-mailing envelope. Tremfya continues to heal my skin lesions, my lower back, knees, and elbows were cleared. The lesions on both my lower legs above my ankles remain, but smaller in area. No side effects noted so far. However, effectiveness in keeping the joints in my hands, feet, elbows, hips, and knees pain-free is still in question. The week before my injection time, all these joints experience pain and stiffness. A week after the injection, my joint pains disappear, except for my right elbow and left knee. Overall, I am pleased with the effectiveness of Tremfya, but need to find a solution to the pains of my left knee and right elbow."

"First injection was late Dec 2022, then Jan 2023. By the 3rd injection in late March, 90% of the psoriasis I had was gone (was gone between 6 - 8 weeks). By the June 1 injection, no psoriasis remained. The bulk of joint pain is controlled fairly well until the last 2 weeks of the 8 week period, but for me, the pain is minimal. I was on Enbrel for a few years and the psoriasis never cleared. I recommend this drug, however, the cost is extremely high even with insurance. It is not covered under Medicare."

"I have AS and PsA. I have taken Humira and Cosentyx, both giving me many side effects. I had to stop taking both drugs. I started getting Psoriasis on my ear and Rheumy wanted to try me on Tremfya. I have been on Tremfya for a total of 9 months. If I am going to rate the drug, I would say a 7 out of 10. It has really helped the severe stabbing right hip and pelvis pain. I continue to struggle with lower back pain, swollen wrists, and knees. I also am hungry all the time and am having issues with anxiety. Never had either of them before using Tremfya. Do I want to quit the drug? No, the side effects and the stabbing hip/pelvic pain alleviated even for a bit is worth it. Is it a wonder drug? No, I still struggle with pain and the added side effects. But to me, it is worth it. I hope it continues to work. I do have 2-3 days after taking the drug where I feel very ill but it goes away."

"The first injection seemed to work wonders. I was covered with plaque, and in about 3-5 days, I was 80% clear already. I had been doing very well until this injection #6. I actually broke out quite a bit, especially on my scalp. I had a variety of other side effects also. It’s been 2 weeks, and I’m still having a cough and other problems. Hopefully, the next injection will not be like this one."

"Have been using 100 mg Tremfya injection for over a year now, but usually after a week the joint pains return and muscle cramps begin. Not sure if it's related, but I also have a constant cough and regularly spit up mucus from my throat and chest."

"This is my second time on Tremfya. I took my first dose 3 days ago. My previous experience with Tremfya was amazing. I did not realize how great I felt until I went off of the medication. I haven't noticed many changes this time around, as it's not been very long, but I am excited to be back on Tremfya."
