"Severe periodontal abscess above the gum line, which was very concerning because if it had spread it would, in fact, be near to the spinal cord and brain. I made an emergency appointment with my dentist who swiftly prescribed amoxicillin. I had read a study which had shown that Amoxicillin decimates the gut microbiota - to the point where even a short course of 5 days can render the subject with the microbiota of an ICU patient. For this reason, I decided instead to take 2 x 500mg of garlic extract daily for 5 days, in combination with 1500mg of Vitamin C twice daily (Esther C and Garden of Life bioavailable whole food Vitamin C) along with topical echinacea spray applied 5 times on the infected area (A. Vogel). I also began oil pulling with coconut oil x 2 per day. The infection disappeared within three days. The first day the pain completely disappeared. On the second day, the abscess deflated and became softer to the touch. On the third day, the abscess drained."

For Bacterial Infection "Had a nasty nose infection after having a cold and fever last year. I had to wait 14 days before it cleared the rash at the tip of my nose, which left a scar. Today, I got it again, and fresh garlic stopped it from spreading immediately. No more creams for me. I'm truly amazed. It seemed to stop the spread fast and stop the itch. Just plain fresh garlic applied to the affected area."
