"Trelegy Ellipta has been an absolute game changer for me. I've only been taking it for a month but have had zero side effects besides the occasional raspy voice. Prior to my doctor prescribing this, I was taking Spiriva daily, going through an albuterol inhaler a week, having twice a day nebulizer treatments, and once a month prednisone yet still could not walk to the mailbox without gasping for air and stopping. I feel like my old self again. I don't panic and carry my inhaler into every room with me (actually, I have only used it once in the last month) and can walk anywhere without struggling at all. I went hiking with my husband last weekend and moved like my old self. Absolute game changer and wish I would've tried it years ago."

"I used this med for months. All it did was create a sore mouth and throat, and it dried my mouth out as well. I noticed that it aggravated my paralyzed larynx, causing it to be a constant battle trying to clear the junk off my throat. It gave me pneumonia-type symptoms that I had to treat multiple times with antibiotics. I finally took myself off the medication, but it seems the effects are long-lasting or forever at this point after four months."

"I started my Trelegy 2 months ago, and I am feeling a bit better. I have a cough, so I have taken antibiotics - just finished, so I will see how I get on. I would rather take 1 inhaler than 2. All my friends are saying that they see a difference in me in a good way."

"My doctor gave me Trelegy 10 days ago, and it has helped considerably with my breathing. Advair did not help, also, Advair made my tongue so sore I could hardly eat. I rinse after using Trelegy, but I think the only side effect seems to be that the back of my throat is a little sore. It hasn't been expensive, so far anyway. I have bought one inhaler, but I'm on Medicare. Eight dollars for an inhaler that helps isn't bad! That's been my experience so far."

"I was on Trelegy for about 3 months. It cost me $42.00 per month. Then, after the first of the year, my insurance changed and the cost went to over $700.00. My doctor talked to the insurance company, and it went to $260.00 for a 30-day supply. I couldn't afford that, so my doctor put me on another medication, and the side effects about killed me. Then, the doctor gave me a sample of Trelegy to see if he can find something else for me."

"I used it for two days. The second day, my heart pulse dropped to 40 beats a minute. I passed out once, went to the ER, and they kept me overnight and put a pacemaker in my chest. They don't know what caused it, but I don't want to try Trelegy again."

"Was having problems with Trelegy, breathing, and heart rate. Cut out all caffeine except 1 cup of regular coffee in the morning, switched to decaf after that. Drink 5 bottles, 16 ounces of water a day now. As long as I stick to that, I don't have any problems with Trelegy."

"Since I have used Trelegy, my condition has become much worse. I was sent by the doctor's office to the ER by ambulance. I had horrific chest and back pain, as well as more coughing and phlegm. I have no energy at all. I took my last dose of this today."

"Trelegy use made me not hungry and food taste gross. I now use Breo and Incruse and I don't get it, they are all made by the same company, but I don't get my food tasting bad by what I am using now. Trelegy for me has a $10 copay, and I spend $60 more in copays because what I'm on now doesn't make my food taste bad."

"I immediately felt my throat become irritated, then within a few days I could feel it become swollen, I could barely swallow. I stopped taking it when this occurred. In addition, my joints ached. I also had excruciating back pain. Also, my breathing did not improve significantly. One positive, my blood pressure dropped. It's not the medication for me."

"All my physicians prescribed it for my COPD, but I used it as directed, and I could sense no special improvement, and I am slowly beginning to have more problems with blurry vision and urinary retention. Plus, two episodes of A.Fib, which required an emergency drip of Metoprolol to stop. I discontinued Trelegy Ellipta on my own, without asking physicians several months ago and have not regretted it. I won't be taking it again. It seems high risk for me without enough benefit. However, for most patients, I think the physician should be consulted before discontinuing."

"Works absolutely great for my mild COPD maintenance. I found I could use it every other day. However, the pulmonologist is switching me, saying I don't need the steroid. The anticholinergic (umeclidinium) started creating a constipation problem, but this was expected and fixed with OTC stool softener (docusate Na). I got a bad cramp in my calf at 5 AM one night, so this was unexpectedly LOWERING MY POTASSIUM. Watch out for that one. Ridiculously expensive! Of course, that's not something unusual for this particular inhaler. Big Pharma loves you."

"I am relatively new to meds for COPD, and am also finding the costs are ridiculously high. I have been appealing to my insurance company. I called customer service, and they helped me get the forms for the doctor to appeal, but have no results yet. But it's worth 'trying' at least. Maybe some of the others on here can try to appeal or ask for special consideration as well. Good luck to us all."

"A wonder drug, it controls my chronic asthma magnificently. The asthma cough it does not. I still have that old dry cough. It might be an allergy. When you use it, be sure to rinse your mouth with water. When I first took Trelegy, the cough stopped from the shock of new medication but returned a month later. But my breathing is awesome."

"I am thrilled with this medication. I was recently diagnosed with COPD, then went to a pulmonologist who said I had emphysema. I had just recently had a couple of days where I had trouble catching my breath. I am a long-term smoker and really doing my best to cut down, but since I've been on Trelegy, I have had no issues breathing at all. I had to learn about rinsing my mouth from a fellow patient in the waiting room. She said she uses salt water, and so far so good. I got a month's supply from the hospital, a two-week trial from the pulmonologist, and he gave me a coupon for $0 money, but not sure how long that lasts."

"Started on Trelegy last part of 2019, didn't seem any better than Advair. Then, middle of 2021, my lungs started hurting on a daily basis. I stopped the Trelegy, and my lungs quit hurting. About that time, it seemed my teeth were imploding, falling apart, and I rinsed my mouth every time I used it. Now I have to try to get money for new teeth. I am retired and have limited funds."

"I don't like it. It increases coughing and other side effects displayed. I just stopped for a week and got along fine with my rescue inhaler. Most times my breathing is ok. I am a great exerciser, walking climbing stairs gym and swimming. Most of it every day. I also am into natural remedies like Chinese and reject most common meds. I am 83 and try to live without this stuff."

"Well I ran out of Trelegy almost two months ago...was struggling... oxygen at night, 3 or 4 Duoneb treatments a day. My oxygen level was staying in the 80s. When I went to the bathroom or exerted myself (just a little), the level would drop. I just got a new prescription yesterday morning. I used it as soon as I got home. This morning I woke up to my oxygen being 94. 4 hours later it was still 94. I didn't get winded going to the bathroom. Walked around outside some later in the evening, my oxygen level got down to 87. I haven't taken any more meds. 14 hours later my oxygen level is 92. I would definitely recommend it. I just pray it does as well in the long run. The two weeks before I got it, I was around sawdust. I coughed so hard for two weeks, my ribs and head hurt so badly that I wanted to cry. Tell you, I was much better not long after I took Trelegy."

"I started using Trelegy Ellipta for my COPD around 6 months ago. I was using Dulera & Symbicort for around 5 years. The Trelegy 200 that I was prescribed worked great for 2 months. I now have a worse breathing problem than I had before!"

"I was taking Trelegy for 10 days, was working well for me. After about three doses, I noticed my voice was becoming very hoarse. This continued to the point where I lost my voice completely. After approximately 7 doses, I immediately stopped using it. It has been 3 weeks since I stopped using it, and my voice is still not back to normal."

"Simply amazing. Years of docs ignoring my actual symptoms. By the time I was diagnosed, I was pretty far along to the moderate/severe stage. After the first dose, approximately four hours in, I immediately started feeling a noticeable difference in the way I was breathing! And then, at around the initial six-hour dose, I noticed that the way I was breathing had changed! Now, I was breathing from my diaphragm (from the upper stomach area) down from the upper chest (labored). And as my daily dose during the first 30 days rounded the 18th hour, I started to notice how my breathing reverted back to labored upper chest breathing. But by the 45th day of Trelegy, my breathing had stayed at the diaphragm level, keeping a nice easy breathing pattern ever since. Once, there was a 4-day lapse in between 30-day supplies and by the second day of that lapse, I was immediately back to a very scary breathing problem. I [love] Trelegy."

"I have COPD and have been on every inhaler on the market. None of them give me enough relief to be able to carry out daily activities. The problem I find with all of the dry powdered inhalers is that most of the powder ends up in the back of my throat. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, or if anyone else has this problem, but it means that the medication is not getting into my lungs. I may have side effects from Trelegy, it's hard to tell since I have some side effects from all of them."

"Have taken Trelegy for 1 year - it works but had to stop taking it as the cost went from $131 for 3 months to $500 for a 3-month supply. Being a senior, the manufacturer is taking us to the cleaners. Living on a budget, you have to decide whether to take food or no food. I know this will not make a difference to the manufacturers. Thought drugs were supposed to be going down, but guess not."

"I have been on Trelegy for four months for stage 4 COPD. It seems to have a real positive effect on stopping exacerbations or flare-ups. The only side effect I have experienced is a little goop around my eyes in the morning. You definitely need to rinse out your mouth after using it, otherwise, a thrush condition will set in. This medication makes managing COPD a lot easier. Very easy to use the inhaler with the counter. The government should force the tobacco companies to pay for this drug."

"Was on Symbicort and Seebri for about six years, went to see a specialist, she put me on Trelegy. Have never felt better, hardly use Ventolin. It is the best thing I have been on. I am in Australia, our government subsidizes all medicines for pension-age people to $6.30 per script, otherwise, it would cost me $40.60 per month."
