"I used it. I even drank alcohol (wine) every night after first couple of nights. First I waited a couple of hrs after drinking then I took it while drinking. Rt. Before bed of course. It didn't affect me at all (alcohol). It only made me sleepy. NEVER DID MY BP GO DOWN OR DID I FEEL LIKE PASSING OUT, AND I'M AN EMT. It helped very little. I won't pay $600 after 2 mth free trial. Not worth it!! INS. DOES NOT COVER IT!!!"

"I’ve been in Addyi for three weeks. Puts me to sleep, HARD! I even woke up with jaw pain from grinding all night. I ended up investing in a mouth guard. I’m having very lucid dreams. I’m really enjoying sleeping that profoundly- but I MUST make sure I get a full 8 hours of sleep or I wake up very tired. Placebo? Maybe. Whatever it is, I can honestly say that my husband is very happy, and so am I. I haven't noticed any mood swings or mood changes- maybe because I’m sleeping so much? I'm going to stay on it and see what happens in the next few weeks on my free trial."

"I have been on Addyi since 2019 and it has truly changed things for the better for me. It's meant to be taken at bedtime - so make sure you do that, as it will make you sleepy. The plus side is I've slept GREAT ever since! It took a few weeks before I started feeling the effects and they were subtle in the beginning however, they continued and became more frequent. I actually want to have sex again - I cannot believe I'm reviewing a drug online but I felt the need to share my experience as this was a huge POSITIVE change in my personal well-being and relationship!"

"I was in a real rut, and my doctor kept trying different things to get my libido going. I even had a partial hysterectomy because she said my lack of desire was being my uterus dropped and caused it to be uncomfortable (it did). I love my husband, we've been together for over 20 years, but I dread any sexual advances from him. I've been taking this for 3 weeks, and I see a slight improvement. The 1st week I only took 1/2 a pill right as I was starting to fall asleep. I did not have any side effects; my sleep has not changed at all. I believe this medicine is going to be a marriage saver for me. I will continue taking it and see if it continues to improve my desire. It's pricey at $199 for 3 months, but if it works, it is worth it to me."

"Did nothing but put me to sleep. Within 30-40 minutes of taking it I was so tired I could not keep my eyes open. There was zero change in my desire. Even with a savings card it was $150 a month so it relieved me of $450 before I gave up on this very expensive sleeping pill."

"Don't get ripped off by this company! I did a paid consult with a dr on 2/18. They found I was eligible and said that it will take 8 weeks to get into my system and that I cannot miss a dose They were offering a free 2 mo trial. I spoke to a rep and they said after the 2 months, it would be $25. On 3/17 I received a text from them at 9am that my new prescription was on its way. By the 3/23 I still didn't receive it and was already out. I called that day and it was NOT sent out and the promotion expired and I would have to charge the $25. That was against what was promised and I would be starting all over again because I would miss doses. I wrote to Sprout Pharma and they responded that everything changed THAT DAY on the 3/17 right after they sent that text, that they didn't talk to my insurance and wasn't even sure what my co-pay would be (although day 1 I was told $25 and yesterday I was also told $25). So basically, the company is a huge rip off.I wished I read reviews before trying."

"I took Addyi a few years ago and had no problems, but it didn't help my sex drive either. Recently I thought I would try it again. The 2 times I took the pill I had severe vomiting the night I took it. I will discontinue. (I had 3 glasses of wine 4 hours before taking it.)"

"For the past 2 years, I had been feeling like I was going through menopause at the age of 38. I went to 2 male OBGYNs and several family doctors and nurse practitioners. I finally went to an OBGYN again, this time a woman. She introduced me to Addyi. At that point, I would try anything. I started taking it (downloaded a coupon from the internet to drop the price to about 90 percent). I felt it working. As I did some research, I found that Addyi and the antidepressant I was taking were doing the opposite of one another, like playing tug of war. So I stopped taking the antidepressant, yes, cold turkey after 12 years of it. I was waking up every morning and going to work feeling lightheaded, so I guess that was part of the tug of war. Please don't do what I did - talk to your doctor before stopping any medicines that will cause withdrawal. Well, I'm normal again. I had a new boyfriend at the beginning of this cycle, and it was quite embarrassing not being able to produce wetness."

"Addyi started to work at about the third week of taking it but that only lasted for about a week. I was told it works like an anti depressant and could take up to six weeks to work. I kept taking it, even though my blood pressure dropped. Half way through the third month of taking it I stopped because it was doing nothing at that point and I didn't want to spend the $150.00 every month. After I stopped taking it I developed cysts in my left breast and had to have them surgically removed. Very disappointed"

"I was having a lot of trouble with no sexual drive for months. I tried a few other things that didn't work. Within 3 weeks of taking Addyi, I absolutely could feel a difference! Talking to your spouse about any intimacy or emotional issues definitely helps, but Addyi made a huge difference. After having babies, tubes tied, and irregular periods, my hormones are never perfect or where I'd like them to be. I'm really grateful for Addyi, and so is my husband."

"This is NOT female Viagra. Trust me. It doesn’t work. Only succeeded in making me tired, almost like taking some NyQuil or 2 Benadryl, which completely defeats the purpose of treating low libido if all you can do is sleep. Stuck with it for 8+ weeks, no change. Save your money."

"Such a scam. Only a 'doctor' calling you to push the drugs on you and then leave you 0 contact information. They push you to do 3 months, then require you to redo the process over 3 months and pay again. I have had 0 positive results, only felt worse. They lead you on a merry go round of who to contact. Place the blame on 'your body' or the pharmacy."

"I tried this for 12 weeks. The prescription information says to stop after 8 weeks if no results. I had such high hopes for this to work and it hasn’t. The cost was very expensive per month but it sadly didn’t work for me."

"I have taken Addyi for a full three months now and have had zero success, I actually feel like it somehow lowered my sex drive even more if that’s possible. Other than that no negative side effects to report. But definitely not worth $100/month for it."

"Horrible. I took my first pill last night and almost passed out. I was lightheaded, dizzy, had blurry vision, and was nauseous. What made that really bad is I have a 2-year-old that I could not tend to overnight. Horrible."

"Addyi has given me back my libido completely. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to want/desire intimacy again. It’s absolutely the best thing ever! If you were hesitant to try addyi. This is your sign to try it. I promise you AND your husband will definitely be pleased."

"Well. I only took one pill. I have no idea if it works long term because I literally felt like I was going to die. I got vertigo, started sweating, threw up on myself because I couldn't make it to the bathroom. Laid down and could not move my limbs, I could barely swallow. (I guess my blood pressure went too low?) We were minutes away from going to the hospital but my husband said I passed out. Maybe 100mg is too strong? I'm never taking this again."

"When I started taking Addyi I noticed that it felt as if I was taking a high dose of melatonin (imagine taking 20mg of melatonin every night). I noticed a positive change in my mood, and woke up rested. By the fourth week, I started thinking about sex a lot, thinking about sex often and even pleasuring myself when alone. By week 5 is when I noticed that the pain in my chest was getting worse (it started at week 3 but thought I had just been sleeping in a bad position). I got to the point where it felt like I was having a heart attack, it hurt so bad I could not pick up things from the floor; it even hurt to breathe. I started looking back and noticed that the awful hives that I had developed on both my forearms had appeared by week 2 and were only getting worse. I stopped taking it 3 days ago and the chest tightness is gone, and the hives are clearing up already. This drug is very dangerous, and not worth the risk!"

"Going on two months now and the only thing it does for me is put me to sleep it’s almost like a mild Xanax. I did decide to try taking it during the day and wooo I was super floaty and a bit out of it . So definitely stick with taking it at night if it works for you . Was disappointed tho, was really hoping it would help out my low sex drive ."

"I was given resistance about taking Addyi for my low sex drive because I was taking Wellbutrin. However, my psychiatrist & urologist both agreed that my Wellbutrin was for off-script reasons and not depression. I was excited to try it and hopefully help with a very low sex drive over the past ten years. I finally got to try it. I took it for about 3 weeks and saw no difference at all. By the 4th week I continued to take it but didn't have high expectations. At this point, we went on vacation and I (a very rare drinker) drank a few cocktails over the course of our holiday week. PAY ATTENTION CLOSELY TO THE WARNINGS ABOUT ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION WHILE TAKING ADDYI. After only a couple cocktails, I completely blacked out. Had to be carried to my bed and had no recollection of the night before. My husband and I were genuinely perplexed because I did not binge drink. I re-read the warnings and now knew what happened. Thankfully, I was not in a precarious position. Stopped Addyi immediately."

"I really wanted to like this. I took it for 6 weeks and unfortunately did not see an increase in libido, pleasure or lubrication. It did help me sleep better some nights, but I had a lot of lightheadness, fatigue and dizziness. I would have kept taking it just for better sleep, but that lightheadness was too much to take. I would feel like I was going to faint all the time. I did not drink alcohol and I was hydrated, but I still would feel like I was about to pass out. I had no energy to do anything. It was bad. I don't know if others also had heart flutters? But I did. I would feel my heart flutter a lot."

"I reached out to my healthcare professional because of low sex drive and found I had a hormone imbalance. After some adjustments with medications I was prescribed Addyi in June 2020, removed off my anti-depressants, and we were hoping that, combined with some testosterone cream would help bring my drive back up to my normal. I took the pill for about 5 months hoping the drunk feeling side effect after taking it would lessen (never did) and my libido would reach more normal for me levels. Although I ended up feeling my libido increase just a little, I then had a new problem: reaching completion without manual assistance, if you catch my drift. There was a 2 week window in December 2020 where my monthly supply of Addyi didn’t get delivered on time and I completely ran out of pills. My experiences were much more pleasant and close to my norm during that window. Now I am wondering if my issues were related to these meds? Who knows, but I will probably stop taking Addyi and going back on anti-depressants instead."

"I have ASD, and no interest in sex. I'm also an insomniac. My Urologist recommended Addyi to me, and I took it for six months. My experiences are as follows: Sex: I did not gain an interest in sex, but I did find myself daydreaming about women more (in a nonsexual manner). Sleep: Addyi definitely helped with onset sleep, until it didn't. After about 5 months, it lost it's sleep benefits. Withdrawal: None to report. Price: HSDD was removed from the DSM-V, so insurance may not cover it. Good RX has it at around $800 for a 30 day supply. Sprout Pharmaceuticals teamed up with PhilRX, and if your Dr goes directly through them you end up paying $60-100 a month. I would not consider this a bad medication, simply an unsuccessful one. I found my tolerance built up rather quickly, but I didn't have issues with withdrawal. If you are thinking of giving it a try, safe travels. I didn't experience bad side effects, and for those that it does work for I think it could be life changing."

"So I’ve been struggling with low sex drive for awhile. Seen this Addyi and decided to give it a try. Took one pill and woke up at 1 in the morning to my face swollen and numb. My body felt weak and had the worse migraine for two days. I read the side effects but they only give you a few and not what you actually experienced. I don’t recommend this at all. It’s been two days and my face is still numb and broke out in pus filled pockets"

"I have been taking Addyi for two weeks and so far, no change in sex drive. I’m athletic and healthy. I typically have a low resting heart rate. Addyi has raised my resting heart rate and makes me wake up after 4-5 hours of sleep. Once I’m awake, I cannot fall back asleep. Initially, it does make me drowsy enough to fall asleep. I have not noticed any other side effects at this time. I’m unsure if I will continue use, due to lack of sleep from taking this."
