Fesoterodine "I only took this drug once, and I was ill for 2 weeks! First day, my throat was horribly dry and scratchy. Water did NOT help. Second day, I lost my voice, and it stayed gone for three days. The mucus in my throat became unbearable. Then came a throat infection that went to my ears, and then it settled in my chest. Could not get rid of this! Two rounds of antibiotics and prednisone, and it's finally gone. I would NOT recommend this drug. Oh, and by the way, I haven't had a cold or flu for decades, so that was NOT what I had."

Fesoterodine "I was prescribed Wellbutrin for depression, that in turn has a side effect of overactive bladder for which I was prescribed Toviaz. The Toviaz DID stop the pain and overactive-ness of my bladder at night, however, I also now have some pretty serious relentless heartburn that I cannot get rid of from taking the Toviaz for only 2 days. I did not buy a full prescription, my doctor gave me a sample pack for 1 week, but I cannot continue, the heartburn is too horrible, and NOTHING is taking it away. I am also very constipated from it, so I am stopping the Toviaz and reducing the dosage of the Wellbutrin. HOPEFULLY this will help!! It really sucks getting pills that help with this, yet you have to take more pills to counteract the side effects, and it just seems to snowball."

Fesoterodine "Started on Toviaz 4 mg three weeks ago. Side effects appear to be headaches and dry mouth. The drug is helping, and I am managing better, but not too happy at the thought of taking this for the rest of my life (I’m only 63). Asked GP for alternatives, do not want the TVT (a sling surgery procedure) operation!"

Fesoterodine "I had a very severe bladder infection that caused bladder spasms, so my doctor gave me samples of the 4 mg Toviaz. It definitely worked. I was able to urinate only when needed and was not running to the bathroom every time I took a few sips of liquid. I was actually able to make it through 6 hours of sleep! My only problem is that after about 12 hours the urges to urinate begin to increase again. I wish they had a shorter-acting product that could be taken every 12 hours instead of every 24 because my body seems to metabolize it very quickly. It would be nice to take it when I got up and again in the evening."

Fesoterodine "I take Toviaz for 2 years now. It really helps with bladder urgency. The side effects I get are weight gain, slight vision impairment, and extreme dry mouth. Nothing helps for dry mouth. I have sipped water and use biotin. By far, the extreme dry mouth is the worst. Considering the alternative, I will stay on Toviaz. But I wish I could get rid of the extreme dry mouth."

Fesoterodine "Was on Toviaz 4 mg for almost 2 weeks, the 4th day I had sharp pains on the left side of my chest, extreme belching/burping, scared me, couldn’t sleep, went to the doctor to have an EKG done and check my heart, came back okay, so the doctor said probably acid reflux, then started having headaches every day and neck pain, which I never get headaches. Looked online at the side effects of Toviaz, and the rare effects sounded just like my symptoms, so I quit, and in 2 days no pains, very little burping, and headaches are better. Still have neck pain, but it is less, so I’m thinking it was the Toviaz."

Fesoterodine "Toviaz worked very well for the first few weeks, but then started losing its effectiveness. I used to wake up 10 times a night to use the bathroom, and now I get up around 5 times a night. It causes dry mouth (which is especially bad during the night) and also makes me tired. Also, the best insurance plans typically won't cover this medication (I pay $70 for a one-month supply)."

Fesoterodine "I was given 8 mg samples by my physician and took one after dinner. I was up all night with a strong urge to urinate every 10 minutes, but only a few drops came out. The 2nd day and night were the same. Had to have a catheter placed on the 3rd day as the bladder was full-over 700 ml-and could not urinate at all. Took the catheter out after 5 days, but still could not urinate all day, and it was replaced late in the afternoon."

Fesoterodine "The medicine does its job. Although I experience severe dry mouth and nightmares. Nightmares weren't listed as a side effect, but my doctor knew about it and didn't tell me when he prescribed it. Nightmares are supposed to subside. After 6 weeks, I still have them a few times a week."

Fesoterodine "Been suffering from OAB for 3 years now. Toviaz seemed to work fine, I stopped it and then restarted it again, and now when I take it, I can't pee normally, like I never empty my bladder. Don't know if it's just at first and then it gets better. Gonna give it another shot."

Fesoterodine "My 10-year-old daughter with spina bifida uses it. The main thing that we have noticed is the dry mouth. Her lips are cracked, but we apply Carmex and increase fluid intake because the benefits outweigh the risks. A satisfied customer."

Fesoterodine "Worked great for 2 years. The dry mouth did pass, and I could go out with friends for a beer and have a coffee! But for some reason, it stopped working. Now on oxybutynin, colored 5 mg. Been taking that for 3 days so far, it isn't working. There goes my social life again."

Fesoterodine "I was given the 8 mg sample. By the second day, the medication began to work. I could not urinate for most of the day. It was a very annoying feeling to feel like you have to go and can't. I stopped taking the medication after the third day when I felt constipated."

Fesoterodine "I have been taking Toviaz for three days for bladder spasms, and it is working. However, I am feeling the side effects big time. Very dizzy, which makes me nauseous, and I have these body tics at night. It also makes me feel very tired. The dry mouth is really not that bad. I may have to stop taking this drug."

Fesoterodine "Unknown (frequently needing to void my bladder and most of the time thinking I was getting a bladder infection.) I have read a few of these reviews saying it worked immediately for you. I’m not finding that I’m up a lot in the night to go to the bathroom, and I don’t feel like my bladder is emptying properly. "I have been on it for two months now. It goes in waves. The first week was excellent. I went to the toilet 2 times per day. After that, I had a week where I had to go to the toilet every half an hour. Then back to the toilet every 3 hours. And today I have to go every hour. So it goes up and down. I hope it will stabilize after the 3 months mark."

Fesoterodine "Been on Toviaz for two years now. The 8 mg. I do have dry mouth, I use the spray for dry mouth and that helps. My overactive bladder caused me to get up hourly at night, getting no rest, tired all day. I take my 8 mg tablet at night. I don’t have dizziness, don’t have nausea. This seems to work for me, I can get 2 to 3 hours of sleep before having to go pee. I can even go out shopping and do the dishes without having to stop and go to the bathroom. That’s good. I will not stop taking this until I have a problem with it, right now it’s OK."

Fesoterodine "Relieves all my strong urgency to urinate. It allows my bladder to fill up. Then I can go to the bathroom without running or wetting on myself. I have no side effects. Thank you for helping me with my bladder problem."

"Mybtriq constipated me severely, oxybutynin stopped working after a couple of years. This is my last step before the Botox procedure, considering I'm so young and will deal with this forever. So far, it's been working fairly well. The dry mouth isn't nearly as bad as oxybutynin, and without overactive bladder medication, my quality of life is very poor. A couple of days into the transition of medication, I noticed frequency and urgency increase, but it has since gone back down! I only take 4 mg currently and haven't had any side effects besides light dry mouth, but the dry mouth on this is SOOO much less than my dry mouth was on oxybutynin!! I won't give it a full 10 until I've been on it for 6+ weeks, but I'm hopeful that this is going to prevent me from the next bigger steps of procedures (or at least put them off for a couple of years). Insurance wouldn't have covered it if not for my doctor advocating for me. Insurance is a pain."

Fesoterodine "I got prescribed this medication because of how often I was going pee. They said it was overactive bladder. I took this medication once, and I will never take it again. It made everything so much worse. The feeling of having to urinate NEVER went away, never subsided at all, and then when I would try to go pee, I couldn’t. The more time went on, the more discomfort I felt because the unbearable feeling of having to pee was so intense, but then not being able to just made it horrendous. My stomach started to really ache because my bladder was full, but I COULD not pee. I will never ever ever take this again. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had."

Fesoterodine "Took one tablet at bedtime, had no idea it would take effect so fast after having just one pill. Now I am cramping because I need to get the water, cranberry juice, tea out of me, so now I am panicked and have dry mouth, cramping, and feeling I need to pee. On the first night, it completely shut off, maybe 4 mg would work better, and reduced water intake after 8 PM."

Fesoterodine "I started Toviaz about a week ago, and it doesn’t seem to be working. I wake up every night about 3-4 times to use the toilet. It gives me horrible headaches and dry eyes and mouth."
