"Constant breakthrough bleeding! I’ve been on VyLibra since December, and it’s currently April. I haven’t stopped spotting yet. I’m already an emotional/moody person, and this exacerbated the issue. It’s made me very tearful and embarrassed due to continuous spotting. Breast soreness was incredibly painful as well."

"I'm 44, and this is my second time taking Tri VyLibra Lo. The first time I stopped taking it back in April due to not knowing if I had food poisoning or if it was indeed these pills because I read about the side effects, but in hindsight (due to a recent similar experience), I now realize that it's these pills. The first experience, I had severe nausea and vomiting along with abdominal pain, which went away after I stopped taking them. This time, it's diarrhea and nausea with severe abdominal pain. Like many other women have stated, I wish I had read the reviews before trying it a second time. I notice I don't have issues during the first month, but by the time I get to the second pack is when the symptoms start. It works as far as not getting pregnant and having a lighter cycle, but the side effects are HORRIBLE!!!! I also started this birth control through Planned Parenthood due to not having insurance at the time. But I have insurance now, so I'm going to try something else."

"Been taking VyLibra for a year now, and I've had good and bad days with this. Currently, my third birth control I've been on, and it actually brightens my mood from the other birth controls I've been prescribed. But I will not continue on it after my supply runs out. It has caused me to start spotting two weeks before my period, and that's super annoying. It has kind of controlled my acne, I only see a few blemishes and a bit of weight gain, but nothing too bad. 5/10, not horrible but not great either."

"I’ve been on this birth control for 3+ years. In that time, I’ve gained 30 lbs, had the worst panic attacks and depression. After being on this pill long-term, I am going back to Loestrin. The past two cycles, about a week AFTER my period, I became horribly ill. Extreme nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness, lasting about 1-2 weeks on and off. I have been too sick to work and have missed weeks of work combined just in these past two menstrual cycles. I have been to the ER twice, urgent care, GI, primary care, and OBGYN. I truly didn’t think birth control could cause these symptoms just now after I’ve been on it for years. My OBGYN (and GI to be honest) said the only thing that could be causing these regimented bouts of illness could be my hormonal birth control and that it is, in fact, possible for the body to just change. I’m so excited to stop this birth control. One star because I never got pregnant on it."

"This VyLibra was the first birth control I tried. I wanted something that was going to help with acne, mood swings, and cramps. This did help with acne, but the cramps were so bad. I understand that cramps are a common side effect when first starting birth control, but these were unbearable. I was basically taking Advil for days straight because it was so bad and made me so irritable. I would not recommend. The overall rating says it all. Get something else more reputable."

"The worst birth control ever. I was prescribed Ortho Cyclen the first time, and then all of a sudden they switched me to this brand. Every month around the same time, it felt as if I had a yeast infection, without the abnormal discharge. My anxiety increased tremendously, and the smell down there has also changed and has made it really embarrassing for any intimate time. Everything that could go wrong with this birth control did."

"So I’ve been taking VyLibra for about a month now, and it’s been pretty unenjoyable. My stomach constantly is turning, and I feel sick! Along with that, it gets hard for me to sleep because of how hot my body is running, and after research, birth control (especially this pill) regulates your body temperature differently. I’ve also been way more sensitive and triggered at everything, and it really sucks. I don’t recommend this pill, but it has done the job in being a birth control method for me, other than the effects."

"I wish I would’ve read reviews before taking this. I never had any issues with depression before, I woke up sad every day. I felt so anxious and paranoid. I’ve lost at least 20 pounds because of the depression. I’ll probably never use birth control again. I’ve been off of it for about three weeks now, and I finally feel back to normal."

"I initially got on this birth control for my acne, but it didn't seem to help, and it just made my acne worse. My boyfriend and I were a very active couple, very intimate, and after being on VyLibra for a month, I noticed I had no interest in my partner whatsoever, to the point I would even back away from a simple kiss. After being on it for 3 months, things just got worse and worse until I stopped taking it, and after a month of not taking it, I was 'back to normal.'"

"I recently started using VyLibra for birth control and wanted to share my experience. Overall, it's been effective in preventing pregnancy. Remember, everyone's body reacts differently, so it's important to monitor how you feel. I got my pill pack through the PPDirect app, which was convenient. Despite some initial concerns about negative side effects, I would recommend giving it a try! Thankfully, I haven’t had any other negative side effects besides breast tenderness."

"I specifically asked the doctor to give me pills that will clear up my skin. This made it so much worse. I’m extremely upset. This has given me painful, hard acne that I have never dealt with. I haven’t even been taking it for a whole 2 weeks. My face is bumpy, and none of my normal acne products are working. I feel too insecure to go out. I’m no longer going to take these pills."

"Worst switch-over ever. Pharmacist gave this to me instead of Sprintec (previously on a different BC, I changed to another brand and had zero problems), but this was the WORST. I have PMS, but this made every day of the month worse. I was super flustered, couldn’t focus/remember what task I was doing, increased anxiety, and felt depressed. Had breakthrough bleeding and severe cramping. I had zero motivation and could sense a weird type of depression that I’ve never experienced hit me right after starting the pill. I’m a newlywed with a good job - this is absolutely NOT my norm. I requested to switch back ASAP, and my doctor told me to finish the pack. I am back on my other brand and feel an immediate difference in every way."

"I read the reviews, shocked! I’ve been on this birth control for over 6 months. The only dislike is it does have some breakthrough bleeding, but usually pretty light. I lost my baby weight, which was great. No other side effects. I already had migraines previously, they haven’t gotten worse, no mood swings I’ve noticed, no acne. Birth control is good, and I’ll continue to use it!"

"The local women's health clinic prescribed VyLibra because I was going on vacation to see my boyfriend, and I wanted to skip my periods. After a few days, I started feeling awful anxiety and completely lost interest in any kind of intimacy, and always being tired. A couple of days after, I started getting the mood swings, crying at the drop of a hat, and depression. I even became paranoid and canceled my trip, which I immediately regretted. The vaginal dryness is annoying, and I even lost interest in my artwork (I'm an artist, and this is the worst thing ever!). I've been on the pill before (Sprintec) and never had these problems before. I wish I'd known about these side effects before I started. Another weird one is I can normally remember my dreams, but now it's like I'm not dreaming at all. I'm not even a whole month on these things, and I want to quit. Definitely do not recommend."

"This birth control has caused me really painful acne and made it so much worse. My chin has never been so broken out and in so much pain, I will be switching."
