For Birth Control "I’ve been on this birth control for only about 3 months. I absolutely hate it. I had spotting between each period, my mood was way out of control, and it made me HUNGRY. I was eating everything in sight, even when I was button-popping full I wanted more. I’d be full and my stomach would still grumble. I gained 15 pounds on this even though I’m pretty active and go to the gym 3-4 times a week. Every time I was on the placebo pills I swear I’d lose 5 pounds immediately, within two days. I have been off of it for 2 weeks now and I feel like I eat normally again. It also gave me really bad acne. I was blessed with very good skin and barely get pimples. My forehead and chin are now covered in acne because of this birth control."

For Acne "I have been taking trilinyah for 8 months now and it has worked GREAT for my acne. It took about 4 months to finally clear it up and haven’t had much of a problem since. The only down side I’ve notice to Tri-Linyah is the changes in mood. I am super irritable and have mood swings a lot and am very emotional all the time. It’s so bad that I’m seriously considering not taking it any more and just dealing with my horrible acne. Everyone is different though!"

For Birth Control "I love Tri-linyah, it works efficiently and regulates my periods well. The only complaint I have is every month, the day after I take my first pill out of a new packet, I always throw up multiple times and am very very nauseous."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Listen up ladies, this pill is not for everyone because we all have different bodies. Although, I wanted to share my experience. I previously had the copper IUD which made my periods complete hell. I would use super tampons like crazy and had to miss work several times because of menstrual cramps. (I've never given birth & don't recommend that type of BC) anyways. The first week of switching I was super nauseous. But this feeling is 100% better to me than the cramps. The nausea subsided a month in and I'm on month two. On my first period after changing my periods are back to normal, light but around 4-5 days, and I haven't had a single cramp! I originally looked for reviews because I believe my breasts are also growing and I'm 21 and a smaller cup size, so I wanted to know if anyone else had the same experience. Good luck you all <3"

For Acne "took Tri-Linyah for 3 years (about 5 years ago) the reason I took is was only to clear my skin!! After I stopped using it, my skin was the worst it’s even been. I had breakouts all over my face as well as my neck and jawline. I didn’t want to go back on birth control thinking that was the root cause. For three years, I tried to clear my skin by eating healthier, trying out different skin care brands/products, getting prescription creams, or going more natural (no makeup). Generally, a lot of research was done. In the end nothing worked. Every time my period came around, all my efforts to keep my skin clear disappeared. The hormonal acne was no joke. I realized nothing will work because my natural body was out of balance. I decided to go back on birth control after trying out a different prescribed cream. Currently, it’s been two weeks since I started the cream and one week since I started taking birth control. My skin is clearing up fast, besides the ones on my jawline."

For Acne "I have been using tri-linyah birth control for over 2 years now and I like it a lot. There are some pros and cons like with any medication. For my acne, it works SUPER well. I used to have horrible uncontrolled acne and this I wouldn’t say “cleared” up my skin, but definitely keeps it under control. I have one pimple here and there but definitely not when I used to have breakouts all over my face off the birth control. It keeps my periods light and my cramps to a minimum. The only downside and I don’t know if this is just a personal problem, are my mood swings. I get super super depressed around when my periods supposed to start and I think the birth control heightens my emotions"

For Birth Control "On Tri-Linyah my periods are light and relatively easy, I didn’t gain a bunch of weight, but I do have a LOT of uncontrollable mood swings. and anger - like I’m talking rage and it’s enough to make me hate this birth control, but keep in mind every body is different. and my skin has been super clear. but I can’t deal with the emotions!!! and neither can my relationship lol"

For Birth Control "I moved to a new city and a new pharmacy. They switched my birth control from Norgestimate to this Tri-linyah. Literally after 3 days of taking it I had all the symptoms I get with my period! Sore breasts, horrible and I mean horrible cramps, and HORRIBLE mood swings! Not to mention the constant overheating! I called the pharmacy to switch it back by the 7th day."

For Birth Control "I’ve taken this pill for 3 years. No pregnancies, but 30 pounds of weight gain and insane mood swings. The only reason I’m still on it is because it makes my period incredibly regular unlike other pills I’ve tried, but not any lighter and still some occasional cramping. I’m thinking of changing at my yearly appointment or going off of birth control entirely but I really need to weigh my options. Pills are different for everyone and I would still recommend it."

For Birth Control "I've been on different birth controls for 6 years. Always on a low dose and I will say I've always had accuracy with all . After getting tests done even at 15 I've been told I'm extremely fertile. Not once did I get pregnant until at 17 I stopped for a while and I had a miscarriage. But not once taking the pill. Every month almost I become paranoid it will fail but has yet to. I take the pill around the same hour almost every day and if I miss one I double up. I get nauseous for days after so i assume it could be pregnancy. This makes me use the internet that entire month looking at pregnancy signs and reading scary reviews about women saying birth control failed them. I believe that is only because they haven't been taking it right"

For Birth Control "On Tri-Linyah I’ve experienced extreme mood swings and irritability. I feel like my relationship suffered greatly because of this. I was switched to this pill about 3 months ago when I switched pharmacies. I used to be on ortho-tri-cyclen. I guess this is the generic form. I just put two and two together and realized my birth control could be contributing to my negative feelings. I stopped it about a week ago and feel so much better."

For Endometriosis "Pros: Before Tri-Linyah my period was super irregular, to the point that the shortest time between a periods was 2 weeks and the longest was a little over 2 months. With this birth control my period comes exactly every 28 days. I also all had hormonal acne before taking this pill, but since being on it the only time I breakout is the week before my period, but nothing bad, just you’re normal pimple. I am thankful that I get 3 months worth before I need to go refill again. Cons: I get super emotional, but it’s whatever. The worst is that I get really intense cravings and I ended up gaining weight."

For Birth Control "For acne it clears it up It’s great for everything else like preventing pregnancy and regulating your period. The only downside to this stuff is that it thinned out my perineum so sex was painful in certain positions but I’m still looking for a better pill to keep my period regulated ."

For Acne "I have been taking Tri-Linyah for a year now. When I first started the pill I threw up the first few days (which is to be expected) and the following few months I had terrible acne. I knew that it would take around 6 months for my body to adjust so I gave it time and I’m so glad I did. The acne slowly became less and less and now it’s very rare that I ever have a break out. It keeps my skin under control very well. Also, my period is much more bearable and I know the exact day that it comes now. My only complaint is that I still have a very awful cramps the first and second day of my period. But it’s controlled everything else + I haven’t gotten pregnant! So it’s a win in my book. Don’t give up on it :)"

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for about 5 months, I've been experiencing nausea , vomiting , bad pains in my right leg and my boobs have gotten bigger and I'm spotting more but bleeding less during my period. But, on the bright side, my period cramps have gotten better."

For Acne "I have been taking TRI-LINYAH for a few months. Prior to this pill I had completely clear skin, and HORRIBLE periods!!! Now it's the opposite my face is covered in acne but my periods are AMAZING.. I'm kind of disappointed about the fact I have to choose clear skin over painless periods."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've switched between different generic versions of Ortho tri cyclen, and this is not my favorite. I have terrible cystic acne, and it did help a LOT with that. But it did nothing at all for my periods. My periods without birth control caused me to be in a haze, nausea, vomiting, terrible cramping, and heavy bleeding. With Tri-Linyah, it was mostly the same! The other generic pills I tried at least eased my periods so that they were bearable. On Tri-Linyah I also didn't know what to expect, some periods would be longer, start at different times, or be lighter/heavier. I'm not sure how different generic medications of the same type can really be, but I noticed this one was definitely different."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this birth control Tri-Linyah for about a year and it’s completely cleared up my acne and I used to get severe cramps and I have not gotten them at all since. The only downsides is I have awful mood swings and my emotions have been up a wall. I also have had yeast infections from this and I’ve experienced 2 week periods multiple times. I’d say it’s worth it for the most part though."

For Acne "I have been on this pill Tri-Linyah for almost 3 months but no longer because I could not bear it. The side effects I had was I went from no acne to moderate acne, keeping the same exact skin routine and diet. My period was also heavier. At least it didn’t cause water retention"

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking it so far for about 4 months and it’s been doing really good for regulating my periods and making my cramps less painful. I have started to get really bad cystic acne though that progressively gets worse as time goes by ever since Ive been on it which is kind of weird because if anything it should be doing the opposite."

For Acne "I just started taking this. I am now on week 4 and it is bitter sweet so far. My period has been abnormal (about 2 years without a period) and my doc prescribed this pill to me. It's "sweet" because I got my period. Not too light and not too heavy. However, there are a lot of "bitter" sides. For 1 week, I felt really nauseous. Also, I barely have acne on my face before, but after taking these pills I developed small acne all over. It looks like chicken pox all over my face. I will continue to try this for 2 more months. If the problems persist, I'm going to ask doc to prescribe me something else."

For Acne "I’ve been taking this contraceptive in order to get onto Accutane and I regret it. Prior to taking this pill, I had a normal period and knew exactly when it would start and end. My cycle would last between 6-7 days. My period, now, lasts for about 2 weeks. Would not recommend."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on birth control pills since I was 16 (I’m 22 now) so I’m pretty versed and have tried many brands. For the past few years I’ve been taking Tri-Sprintec and loved it….. but for whatever reason it was switched to Tri-Linyah and I’m only 10 days in and have been super agitated and on edge. I have anxiety already but have had good control on it and anxiety attacks/abnormal anxiousness have been few and far between, but ever since starting this brand I am easily triggered even beyond my normal anxiety triggers. I’ve also had a marked increase in my HR and have had chest tightness and felt like I couldn’t take a deep breath or oxygen just wasn’t getting into my lungs. I’m a nursing student so my life is high stress but it has been even more so the past 10 days. I literally was full body shaking and went into a panic attack while feeding a patient. I’m definitely switching back to my old brand because this is crazy"

For Birth Control "I've been taking this contraceptive for about a year now and I LOVE it. My periods are still the same length (about a week) but they're so much lighter. Before Tri-Linyah I had the worst period pains and now my periods are a breeze. As far as mood swings I don't see a change in my moods other than usual. Also I haven't gained several pounds because of it. Plus NO BABIES! Keep in mind it does have different effects on different people."
