"I am 32 years old. My doctor started me on this pill for heavy spotting between periods. I was still having in between bleeding but not as bad so my dosage was upped. Since then I have had no issues at all with heavy bleeding/spotting and have been taking this pill now for 8 months. The only side effects I’ve noticed is really bad mood swings prior to my period and weight gain. For irregular bleeding though this pill works really well to control it but in a higher dose."

"So I have been taking Femynor for about a year and a half. I originally was taking Tri-Estarylla but for some reason CVS switched me. I will say that this birth control keeps me very regular and has helped dramatically with reducing cramping, nausea and flow. However, over the last year and half I have developed crippling anxiety, gastrointestinal distress and gained weight. I originally attributed all of theses symptoms to the stress of college an applying to graduate schools until I started reading these reviews. I have also gained a total of 30 lbs while being on the pill. However, some of that might be due to stress eating caused by the anxiety. I have also completely lost my sex drive and my personality changed which caused issues in my long term relationship. I am planning on talking to my doctor and getting switched back to Tri-Estarylla."

"I've been taking Femynor for around 2 months as my first ever birth control pill. So far, the only side effects I've experienced are headaches and nausea. I take the pill every night before bed and as long as I eat a snack after taking it and drink some water, I do not experience any side effects. However, I skipped dinner one time and woke up with a headache and feeling very nauseous."

"I was on Mononessa for a very long time. It is no longer available in the United States so Femynor was the medication that they change me too. I’ve only been on it for one month and I’ve had off all very emotional mood swings. The first two weeks I was extremely irritable, and now that I’ve got my period I feel like I could cry every day for no reason at all. This is not like my character at all, I am very even keel old and extremely happy, after my period is finished I will not be resuming this medication."

"I’ve been using this birth control for about 8 months. Only complaints I have are nausea when I forget to take a pill and end up taking two the next day and weight gain. Severe weight gain. I’ve gained over 10 pounds with this pill and I think I want to switch to another contraceptive. Not gonna lie, my face looks amazing; no acne but I’m feeling really depressed and insecure with the weight gain and I specifically told my doctor beforehand I didn’t want to gain weight nor break out a lot. Any recommendations for a good birth control?"

"Honestly it’s been a mixed bag while on Femynor, I’ve been on it for almost a year, but overall nothing too bad, I’ve been through other forms and have found this one the best. It’s kinda stupid how it reads on the back instead of the front of the packaging, but overall the symptoms haven’t been too rough. I get cramping just like anyone else on/near their period. I have had breakthrough bleeding some months and other absolutely nothing, I did have to ask to up the dosage though because of breakthrough bleeding."

"I've been on this pill for 2 weeks now and it has been a living nightmare. Mood swings, constant nausea, I broke out in benign hives, sooo much flatulence/intestinal issues it is so humiliating. Not even gonna touch the sex drive subject with a 10-foot pole at this point. I can't wait for my check-in with my doc, I hope she takes me off this pill..."

"This birth control is great. My periods always have been super irregular but once I started this pill it has been on point. My first period while on the pill was horrible, I got to thinking that this is my body still getting used to the pill. I had the worst cramps I have felt in my life and really heavy bleeding but after that my periods have been normal. Only a week long. No weight gain or anything dramatic. I truly am thankful for this pill."

"I can not sing the praises of Femynor birth control enough. No weight gain, mood swings were minimal the first few months. I went on Femynor to fix my hormonal acne about 7-8 months ago and it WORKED. No matter what I tried nothing worked for my acne and this did. Doctor told me I'd see l results in 6 months and my skin started clearing in 2. Now it's almost perfect rarely a break out besides some black heads which are way better then a face of white head breakouts. Only issue I've had is my cramps have been worse some months and my period has started early a few times and lasts a lot longer than it used to. Which if that's the only thing I deal with I'm still over the moon about this birth control. Recommend it to anyone with bad acne."

"I tried Femynor birth control after being on Estarylla for less than a year. It’s only been a month and I haven’t had any bad side effects! The only thing I noticed was the first few days I would get anxious out of nowhere but being on Estraylla gave me horrible anxiety so for me it was like it was getting out of my system. Hopefully I don’t have any bad side effects soon since I know it take about 3 months for your body to get used to birth control."

"Bleeding all the time, have had multiple yeast infections and bacterial infections, have massive blood clots. This birth control is awful. I tried to stick it out past 3 months but it doesn’t get better. I’m calling my doctor to switch."

"I’ve been on femynor about a month now and I’ve noticed my acne has gotten a lot better and I’ve gained about 5 pounds and my periods are much lighter now which I like. But the downside to this pill that I noticed about myself is I feel extremely irritable everyday and I’m usually not an angry person but everything seems to bother me. I am extremely emotional and depressed over everything now and I have no sex drive what so ever. I’m probably going to get off this soon because I don’t think I could handle the mood swings any longer but the good thing was it cleared up my acne."

"I read other reviews on this when I got it and hoped I'd have a different experience I felt extremely emotional for 2 weeks. Have never bled this much unless I'm post partum after I give birth. Nothing but heavy clotting. I normally bleed 3 days on my period. Still bleeding at day 8 on this heavy. Causing headaches fatigue and I can't work like this. It's an awful birth control. My doc prescribed sprintec and this was the generic formula. My doc said keep taking it but I stopped 3 days ago as I was only 2 weeks into the pills and couldn't continue."

"I am on week 2, month 2 of Femynor and I’m not sure where I stand. I started this birth control at a very stressful time so I’m not sure if the side effects are due to the drug or the stress or both. But the major side effect I’ve noticed is that I’m nearly almost nauseous. I thought that maybe I had the stomach bug but it’s on and off and without vomiting or other viral symptoms. Because of this I’ve lost a few pounds (which is fantastic) but I’m basically starving myself due to lack of appetite. I’ve also had a decreased sex drive (again could be the stress too). Aside from that, no other major side effects. My period was normal last month (though heavier than usual) and my acne hasn’t gotten better or worse and no significant mood swings. I know it takes 3 months to get used to a new birth control and hope by summer when things die down and I should be used to it, that I’ll feel better."

"I started this Femynor birth control about a year ago for my acne specifically. It has still to this day never helped it. I should have stopped it there but no, I continued to take it like an idiot. The nausea I get it HORRIBLE. It’s typically at night also which is worse. I have stomach issues where I get bad stomach aches right after I eat and I’m starting to think this could be the cause of it. I constantly get headaches from it also. And on top of that, I think it has made my anxiety wayyy worse. Definitely going to stop taking the pill."

"I was on Femynor for 8 months, first 3 weren’t that bad it made me a bit more emotional/sensitive & nauseous. After that I started to gain weight. Around 10-15lbs in 8 months which I wasn’t used to & made mood swings/ depression worse. Eventually didn’t feel like myself just felt like the dulled down version and I cried every day sometimes about nothing or small inconveniences. 3 weeks off of it and I finally feel back to my old self, more energy & haven’t cried once."

"This was my first birth control that I had used and I took it for over a year before switching to another birth control. When I switched I realized how much of a toll it had taken on my body. This birth control left me feeling depressed, extremely anxious where I’d stay awake for days, cystic acne (which I had perfectly clear skin prior), stomach aches, yeast infections, and extremely lower libido. Continued to take it for a year thinking those side effects would go away believing it was all birth controls that did it, my new birth control is NOTHING like this and I actually am starting to feel okay again like my normal bubbly self!"

"So Femynor was the first and only birth control I’ve ever taken and have so for almost 4 years now. I suffered with depression before but honestly think this medication made it a lot worse. I didn’t even realize until recently that I have had horrible mood swings and been very irritable. My acne seems the same, I didn’t gain any weight, honestly think it made me lose my appetite. Nausea occasionally but nothing crazy. Despite this, the medication seems to be doing its job. I’m considering getting off it after this long and realizing that my mood swings could be associated with it."

"I have had a out of sync period my whole life. I took two other birth controls, and they did nothing to help me with my problem. I have been taking this one six months and I love it. I am finally in sync, the first 3 months were hard but it is worth it. No really bad side effects now, and no weight gain, which I appreciate."

"I've been on this pill for a year now, and let me tell you. I'm not impressed, I was on estraylla, then got switched to this. My acne is so bad, my face is dry and red. It is not helping. I also get these burst of nausea, I can't stand the smell food or anything before my period. My period is still pretty heavy and I’m gaining a lot of weight on this pill. I will be switching after my doctors appointment."

"I haven’t been on it for very long, just now getting to the sugar pills, and my acne has improved a lot. I haven’t had my period yet and I'm almost out of sugar pills, I know that not the craziest thing to happen. But I will still be taking a pregnancy test. I have experienced some nausea but that’s only been the morning after drinking, which even though that’s never happened to me before, I’m not sure if it’s correlated. But no mood swings or weight gain or any other crazy symptoms I see other people posting. Don’t have anything bad to say about it."

"I’ve been on this pill for about a year now. I’ve always had great skin and only minor breakouts but after a few months of taking this birth control I’ve developed cystic acne. I tried numerous cleansers and treatments and found them all ineffective. I finally went to my dermatologist and he said to immediately switch brands. My period is the same as when I wasn’t on birth control, not any shorter and still get cramps. I don’t think there’s a positive thing I can say about it."

"Ok so I went to my pcp and was prescribed this pill because I wanted to be on birth control. I didn’t want depo because I had major break through bleeding when I was last on it. Anyways, my first time taking this pill and I developed the itchiest rash, hives, or whatever you want to call it!!! It occurred on my feet and hands, it was awful so I stopped immediately. Then I decided maybe it was my body getting used to the new medicine so I started again...bad idea. Same thing and in the same places. I just can’t get passed the itching on a day to day basis. I called my pcp and got off immediately."

"Femynor was probably the 3rd birth control I’ve been on and I'm not crazy about it. I’ve been taking it for two years now and I'm about to switch just because there’s definitely better pills out there. Before birth control I'd have the lightest period and extremely light bleeding but this pill caused me to have the worst cramping of my life to the point where I'd be nauseous and throw up. Pretty heavy period (I'd fill a super in an hour). Mood swings were definitely a thing and I’d be a total bitch and rage would just fill my body for no reason at all a week before my period started. Made me very, very emotional lol. It’s definitely great for avoiding pregnancy but that’s about it. I didn’t gain any weight from it but I am bloated all the time but idk if it’s the pill or IBS lol"
