"I am bleeding soooo heavy, it is now going on a month. This month I have already been through 4 pack of always overnight pads. Clots soo big its scares me. I am crying because me and my fiance are trying to have a baby and this medication has done the complete opposite. I only was put on this for 2 month due to PCOS hormonal acne. I am soooo MAD! DON'T I REPEAT DON'T TAKE ESTARYLLA!!!!"

"I'm fairly new to this pill. I have had very heavy, painful periods for the past few months so my doctor prescribed me this. I'm only in my first week but very hesitant on staying with it. I started the day of my period. I've had little cramps and light bleeding so that's great and all, but for the past four days I've had the most annoying headache. Not sure if this pain in my head is worth being cramp free."

"Started taking this on December 28th of 2016 or so... I was on my period for an entire month and it was extremely heavy with blood clots, the bc cleared it up about 5 days later. For that I love it, I had no side effects until my period started this week. I have very bad cramps, much like the ones I had when my period was more regular, and I've been passing large blood clots and have had heavy bleeding. To cut my period short, I'm starting my next pack. Honestly, a really cruddy week long period is better than a pretty cruddy month long period so I'm happy"

"I started taking Estarylla three months ago because I needed to take a birth control with a higher estrogen dose in hopes of getting rid of my ectropion cervix. The first month I was on Estrylla I was very nauseous all the time and I bled for about a month straight. My period normalized after that but my periods during the placebo week were extremely heavy and I was bleeding through ultra tampons. I am now on my third month and I am experiencing breakthrough bleeding all the time. The only positive about this birth control is that it cleared my skin."

"I was prescribed this only for hormones. I had a tubal ligation so the actual birth control was not an issue. After I was in my 4th month symptoms became evident that this was not the pill for me. I was nauseous every morning, no sex drive to the point my husband considered the possibility of an affair (which totally was the opposite), night sweats, dryness, major mood instability with a lot of irritation (I was annoyed super easy, constant crazy urinating, felt dehydrated, my insulin levels high, strange/longer periods and 30 extra pounds. My cramps however did go down a lot."

"So far I've been on this pill for about 2months now with that being said I'm also a "smoker" on the label for its warnings it specifically says do not take if you smoke. I called my doctor and she said it will be fine well now I've been bleeding longer then 2weeks now so I'm going to finish out this week and see hope it will get better:) but please do your homework on this medicine but also on any and all kinds."

"I was prescribed this medication due to having a history of irregular and heavy menstrual cycles. I was also told this medication would help with acne. Estarylla has helped clear my acne as my heavy cycles have completely cleared up. However, this medication has caused prolonged cycles lasting for months at a time. I have also noticed that my mental health has gotten significantly worse throughout the course of taking this pill as I do not feel like myself, which has never happened while taking different pills (I have been on certain BC pills for years prior). Overall, I would avoid this medication, but everyone responds differently. After reading many reviews, it seems prolonged periods are common, so anyone who is recommended this pill needs to take this into consideration. If you already struggle with depression, I would also consider that a factor as this pill may worsen depression."

"Honestly, it did its job in regulating my period but I was a completely different person. I had mood swings, slept for long hours during the day, and was always so drowsy. One of the good things was that it did help with my headaches as well. My acne also got way better and I never had to worry about cramping and heavy bleeding when I was on my period. I think the hormones really affect one's mood and feelings. Like I said, I didn't like the fact that I slept so much and didn't feel like myself but I appreciate the good things it did. Weight gain wise I'm not sure, I think my appetite got stronger and gained a few pounds on my own but I'm starting a new BC (Mili) and I hope the only side effect is mood changes!"

"I have been taking this pill for about 8 months. If you are taking it because you have severe irregular periods like me, it worked fantastic on regulating my periods and reducing cramps. But, the side effects are horrendous. I have severe anxiety as it is without this pill but it made it so much worse. I got severely depressed and anxious and it gave me thoughts of suicide which I have never had before. I have had migraines, dizziness, and feeling faint. It is different for everyone but personally dealing with the side effects is not worth it! I’ve now been off for about 4-5 days and I got my period immediately after stopping it’s extremely heavy, and I do not recommend it."

"I have been taking this pill for over 6 months and it is amazing! I used to have very abnormal periods but now I only get my period for 4 days with little to no cramps. The only problem I had was I broke out for the first month and a half on the pill but then my body started to get used to it. Also it made my boobs huge!!! Definitely just wait it out and see how it works for your body! Mental health wise I felt fine. Don’t let these reviews scare you because they scared me and I ended up being just fine:)"

"I’ve been on this pill for a month. This is my first birth control so I don’t have much experience. But let me just say, I have cried almost everyday since starting, I’ve been moody and depressed for the past 4 weeks, I get extreme headaches AND I’ve been on my period now for nearly 2 weeks so I'm not even having sex anymore. I’m stopping this pill it’s ruining my quality of life and I cannot stand the side effects. And I'm out of town so i need to wait another week before seeing my doctor. Please stay away from this pill find something different it’s not worth it."

"I was originally on Femynor and everything was well, then my doctor prescribed me the generic version of it, Estarylla. Estarylla gave me lots of anxiety, mood swings, breast tenderness, upset stomachs daily, and it did nothing to shorten my periods or stop the flow from being so heavy. I decided to finally stop taking it once I began to bleed nonstop everyday for three weeks. I consulted a gyno about it and they swapped me to Loryna. I hope my period stops being such a nightmare."

"Been on Estarylla for about 3 weeks now. Been taking it consistently at same time everyday. Within the first week I was randomly projectile vomiting without warning and breaking out really badly. Now on week 3 those issues have resolved, my skin is actually really good just seems very oily but I’ve been breakthrough bleeding for 8 days. I don’t want to give up on the pill yet but I don’t know how much longer I can handle bleeding like this. It’s also made me experience depression again but no weight gain that I can tell. I’m very frustrated with the bleeding but I’m going to keep taking the pill to see if it resolves."

"I started taking Estarylla 3 weeks ago and I instantly started bleeding and having cramps. I decided to wait it would for a a couple weeks to see if it would go away but it has only gotten worse. I bleed heavily and have cramps every single day, not to mention how irritable I’ve become. When I got prescribed Estarylla my doctor didn’t even tell me the name of it before I picked it up. I went into it completely blindly. I was on birth control a couple years ago and nothing like this EVER happened and it even made my periods painless and less heavy. Please do your research and just get a better birth control."

"I am 48 and was put on birth control due to heavy long periods, I've never used BC pills before this. I had been bleeding heavy for 38 days and was super anemic so my DR. started me on this BC. Within 2 hours of taking my 1st pill I stopped bleeding and was just spotting for about a day I was so happy. I wasn't having any bad side effects my period seemed controlled. About 8 weeks went by and I started having bad pain in my leg (it was a weird pain through felt like a charley horse but only when I stood or sat went away when I laid down) about 4 days with the pain I went to the ER and was diagnosed with DVT blood clot. DR. said it was related to the BC."
