"I’ve been on Alyacen for 8 years. It’s been effective for birth control, however I started it because I had basically a never-ending period. It regulated it and took my initial 2-week long periods down to 4 days. No period cramps, little to no PMS, average bleeding for 2 days, then just light bleeding for 2. The only negative experience I’ve had was when I forgot to take one and took two at the same time when I realized it, then I was nauseated and threw up for several hours. I started it before I began having sex, so I honestly don’t know how it affected my sex drive, but I’d say my sex drive is rather low, but not nonexistent, while currently taking it."

"I've been on Alyacen for 6 months and with a very active sex life I can give it a good rating for doing what birth control is supposed to do. However my mood swings are terrible. From screaming rage and a racing heart in traffic to complete break downs at the drop of a hat during a rough day I have considered coming off Alyacen for that reason alone. Other than that I think its been pretty effective."

"Horrible. Took it for 1 month and bled the whole month. Horrible cramping and headaches. Made me depressed and sent my anxiety into overload. Stopped taking after 1 month. Would not recommend this brand to anyone. I would rather go back to dealing with painful periods than ever take this again."

"There were no immediate obvious symptoms, but over time I noticed my metabolism slowing down. I had to eat less and exercise more just to maintain my weight on this pill. Even still, I was slowly gaining weight. The pill also caused me to have horrible incontinence/urination urgency. I would pee my pants several times a day, which became a nightmare professionally and personally. Apparently, low estrogen can cause urination urgency and I believe this pill caused my body to stop making its own estrogen, resulting in a deficiency that caused incontinence and a slow metabolism."

"I've been on continuous Alyacen or generic equivalent for 15 years for PCOS, Endometriosis and fibroid growth. It's helped with pain, stopped bleeding almost completely except when I'll have what seems to be an occasional cyst rupture or something? Weight gain has been considerable. I think I'm definitely more irritable but it certainly does what it's supposed to. I'm looking forward to stopping now that I'm approaching menopause"

"Been on birth control for 4 years and been on 5 different types trying to find one that works. I’ve been on Alyacen for 9 months, this one completely destroyed my sex drive, made me have extreme mood swings, and depression phases, and overall I lost myself and had no motivation to do anything. Only good thing is it helps with acne. Most high estrogen pills I’ve been on have all caused these same side effects."

"Same as Ne-Con. Took a couple weeks to adjust, but same results! Great stuff"
