For Birth Control "I'm on the last week of the 3rd pack of Loseasonique. This is the first pack I've taken. Ever since starting the 3rd pack I have been experiencing breakthrough bleeding. I'm hoping that this is temporary and as I start taking the 2nd 90 day pack this will go away."

For Birth Control "I have been on LoSeasonique for 6 weeks now. The first 2 weeks I had no breakthrough bleeding. Around week 3 I started spotting for a couple of days then it would stop for a couple of days. I am now on week 6 and the breakthrough hasn't stopped. It's putting a damper on my thoughts of the pill. I will continue taking this pill through the first pack (3 month) and decide then if I want to continue taking it. The main purpose for taking this pill was to decrease my periods and I have been bleeding more than before. I usually have very mild cramping and have noticed the cramping has worsened these past 3 weeks."

For Birth Control "Started the generic almost 3 months ago. Pros: No spotting Cons: my breasts are larger and ALWAYS super sore. It's made it painful to run like I usually do. Altered fat distribution and noticeable loss of muscle mass. Neutral: I've noticed I still have my normal PMS symptoms when I would have started my periods including a feeling of fullness in my pelvis, increased breast tenderness, and irritability with random crying."

"PAIN. CRAMPS. HEAVY BLEEDING. I had been on this for 2 and 1/2 weeks and the bleeding and pain started. Will get a sonogram this week to check everything because the Dr. said this should not be happening, but after reading the reviews this seems to be normal. With no medical insurance, I am mad. This is costly, painful, unnecessary."

"I do really like this pill and the fact that my periods went from super heavy lasting maybe 2 weeks to light lasting a couple days. What I don't like is I'm more moody, emotional, have had many episodes of heart palpitations and feel like I'm having anxiety attacks. I think I'm going to get off this pill. Good luck and I hope it works well for all!"

"I really like this birth control, which is a surprise after reading all the negative reviews. I just finished the first 3 month pack. I had absolutely no breakthrough bleeding, no crazy weight gain, and no other terrible side effects. It made me a little sick to my stomach the first week and that is all I have noticed. I would highly recommend this medicine to anyone who doesn't need a large dose of estrogen to keep breakthrough bleeding from happening."

For Endometriosis "I was put on LoSeasonique in October of 2010 for endometriosis. I am only 20 years old so the doctors have been trying hard to find something that will work for me and not cause life long effects. This pill did the trick. I have had nothing but happiness with it, it helps the pain of the endometriosis. My doctor gave me 6 months to try it (2 sample packs at once) to see if it worked. I was stupid and took it back to back so I didn't have a period for 6 months. I did spot and bleed for that reason. The bleeding was heavy and painful so as soon as I finished the pack I allowed myself to have an actual period before starting a new pack. Since that mistake, I only had weight gain and it was only 10 pounds. I love it."

For Birth Control "I got this medication as a 46 year old mom who is done childbearing, and with a very active sex life, didn't feel a monthly period was necessary anymore. I suffered from PMS and had heard it could help with that as well. First two weeks I had the morning nausea..but then came an onslaught of other side effects. I'm normally anxious, and this made my anxiety sky rocket. I also suffered a huge nose dive in sex drive. I got what seemed like a yeast infection, which treated, never really went away..then a UTI. Sex became uncomfortable due to lack of lubrication. I went from a 46 year old woman with an extremely active sex life, and high sex drive, to a lack of sensation, like sandpaper during intercourse, soreness and irritation, and low libido. I would have to say the high anxiety was the worst part. I'll keep my minor PMS and monthly bleeding, thanks...."

For Birth Control "This birth control is definitely not for everyone. I bled for 2 straight weeks while taking this pill and became anaemic. I was so exhausted and had ongoing cramps for days and days. I had switched over from Microgestin because this one was cheaper and was a three month pack, but I am switching back. I didn't pay attention to the reviews (because everyone has different results) but I wish I had. I am switching back to my previous birth control."

For Endometriosis "I was prescribed Loseasonique to help manage endometriosis. I’ve been on it for three months. I felt horrible the first week. I decided to give it time. My cramps and periods are worse. I got headaches, depression, increased appetite, excruciating cramps, bleeding a lot more than before; constantly changing pads. I would get no relief from analgesic or the heat pack. I am 43 years old and do not have kids. I asked my gynecologist for a hysterectomy but, she said that would push me into menopause. The whole point is for me to live as pain free as possible. I don’t care if I have a period every month I am just tired of the pain and having to miss work. I would rate this a -0. I personally don’t recommend it."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for over 3 years and I would say its the best one I've been on. Pros: Dramatic reduction in pain from cramps. Con's: Nauseous on the first pack Spotting during the first few packs After 3 years, I get about 2 hours of spotting as my 'period'. Kind of unnerving when your sexually active. To me, the pro makes the con's worth it because my cramping was so bad it made me vomit from pain. 100% worth it to me."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was taking Seasonique and my doctor switched me over to LoSeasonique because I was still having periods that lasted 7-8 days. I have been on LoSeasonique for 7 weeks now and have been bleeding off and on since I started. My face has broken out on several occasions. This is really getting old and I am going to stop this birth control and switch back to just Seasonique."

For Birth Control "I'm just finishing my second month of pills. I had a crazy increase in appetite the first month, but it's evened out now. But now I've been experiencing breakthrough bleeding for about nine days. I really hope it stops."

"Just completed 6 months on this. I had very heavy horrible periods with no pills at all. First 3-4 weeks on this had some bleeding but it has completely stopped since, even when I was supposed to get period, did not get much of anything. Contact lenses are killing me, vision is not the same. Very very tired ALL the time. No energy. No sex drive. Get weird pains in legs all the time."

For Birth Control "I started taking this 8 weeks ago, and after 4 weeks I got a period. I just assumed it was my body adjusting. It went away for about a week, but now I have been bleeding heavily for the past 3 weeks. This cannot be normal. My skin has gotten way worse and I have become very moody. "

For Birth Control "I was on LoSeasonique for almost a year. The first few months were great, some spotting every now and then but nothing major. About 2 months ago, I took a pill one day late. Consequently, I have been spotting for the entire two months. My gyno tried everything, putting me on a weeks worth of estrogen and then a regimen of taking multiple pills a day for week. Nothing worked. I've been miserable and bloated and have gained a few pounds. Before this, I really liked this pill. If you take it, make sure you take it at the SAME time every single day. She said pills with this low dose of hormones are more likely to to do this. I'm currently having to switch to another pill just to make the bleeding stop."

For Birth Control "I have the biggest, reddest and most painful pimples I have ever had in my life. I even have a cyst on the side of my nose. This all started about 1 week after starting this birth control and it has just gotten worse during the second week. I am calling my gyno and going back on Yaz. It is the only birth control that I have ever taken that has made my complexion perfect. Your experience may be different but I am 23 years old and I am completely embarrassed to leave my condo because my skin is so awful."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "Not good! I've tried regular Seasonique as well as LoSeasonique and although yes, it did get rid of my cysts after only one month, the LoSeasonique caused me to have breakthrough bleeding for almost the whole time that I took it (9 months). Some days it was as much blood as having a period and I even had cramps and nausea that I usually have when I have a period. With regular Seasonique the spotting only happened for the first pack (3 months), but still made me nauseous. But all in all, LoSeasonique's side effects of being in a period-like state for 9 months straight do NOT outweigh the benefit of helping with PCOS."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been taking LoSeasonique for a few years. I went on antibiotics (Zpack) for a ear infection. I have never once had any issues with this before now. I have been on my period for a month now, the bleeding won't stop. My doctor said go off the pill for a week and let your body rest and it should stop, if it doesn't then I have to go in for an ultrasound. I am freaking out. Its been that week and I am still on my period. Make sure you let your doctors know you are on that pill before they prescribe you any antibiotics."

For Birth Control "I've been on LoSeasonique for about a month and one week. I take the pill every day at the same time. Haven't missed a day. I was spotting for two weeks, then I started my period. I've been on my period for a week and a half. I'm staying on it just to see if it gets better. But it is not worth only having your period every three months. This is torture. Plus I have the worst cramps of my life."

For Birth Control "I have take LoSeasonique for 9 months now (3 packs). At first it was great and I was all excited about 1 period every 3 months. I was wrong. This was my first birth control ever! At first I had mood swings, I'd be fine then next thing I'm angry then I'm crying over something stupid. I can handle the mood swings but the spotting was horrible. I would get my bleeding into the 5th week mark and then it would go away for a few days then come back and wouldn't stop until maybe 3 days of the sugar pills. My skin had cleared up but now when I get pimples they scar. oh and the sex life was gone of the bleeding. I stopped taking it just today and I can already feel my hormones getting crazy. "

For Birth Control "LoSeasonique works fine as birth control. I didn't get pregnant while on it but it didn't keep my period at bay for the 3 months as stated. For me, this pill actually worked the opposite way. I had a period for 3 weeks then nothing for 1 week rather than the other way around. And it wasn't just light spotting, I had bleeding similar to a period. I gave it a chance the first month and the second month, but after that I called it quits. I will have to try something else."

For Birth Control "Ive been taking this birth control for almost 6 weeks now and let me tell you, the only good thing about it is that it has helped me gain and distribute weight where I need it and made my breasts bigger. Other than that, I feel like absolute rubbish all day everyday and my job requires me to be active and on my feet, ITS HORRIBLE. I take medicine for the nausea, so thats fine. But I'm extremely tired, my body aches more than normal, the change in my mood is not okay, and I've been bleeding for over a week now, way earlier than my period should be. It started out as just spotting, but now I'm heavily bleeding and its making me very anxious. I'm gonna take the last week of pills tomorrow because this just isn't worth it. I do not recommend this pill, Definitely look for something with better ratings maybe?"

For Birth Control "My OBGYN switched me to this pill in hopes to reduce my menstrual migraines I suffer with every month. While I have not had any migraines, I have been bleeding for 3 weeks straight, have a horrible outbreak of acne and very bad nausea since starting this medication two months ago. At this point I think I'd rather live with the monthly migraine than be bleeding all the time and look like like I have chicken pox on my face."

For Endometriosis "I am on my 5th week of Loseasonique. I read the reviews beforehand, but decided to give it a shot since I never had any problems with other pills (LoEstren and Ortho TriCyclen) back in the day. Unfortunately, the bad reviews were right (for me). I had a little bit of spotting for a few days around week 2, but nothing I couldn't handle. By week 4, I started spotting, and have continually spotted now going on 2 weeks, now with cramps. It's not super light spotting either. I do have to wear a panty liner every single day, and of course I don't want to have sex with my hubby either. I think I will stick it out through the first 3 month pack, but I will be more than likely try something else next round."
