Placidyl (ethchlorvynol) "This was excellent medication. I'm not sure if they still make it, the code number for it said discontinued. That would be a tragedy, it's a one-of-a-kind medication."

"I was prescribed Placidyl for recurring bouts of insomnia. I found it to be quite effective when taken at bedtime. The effects came on within fifteen minutes for me using 500mg capsules. Oddly, it produced a Brazil nut taste in my mouth as it started working!"
