"This is the second time I have tried Dotti patches 0.05 mg 2 times a week and progesterone 100 mg/day. The first time I used Dotti, I experienced light dizziness and the inability to completely empty the bladder when peeing in the third week. I told my doctor, and he said Dotti was not likely the cause, but I stopped taking it anyway for a month. I resumed taking it again, and just like the first time, by the third week, I experienced light dizziness, a sensation of imbalance when walking or lowering my head, chills, night sweats, abdominal pain in the upper right quadrant, and drops in blood pressure. I have stopped using the patch."

"I have been on Dotti for a month after years of Vivelle. Grateful I found this site! It has been a bad week, and I thought it was gut leaking, or Covid, or stress. Never considered the new brand of patches until tonight when my breast started hurting terribly. Searched Google, grateful this site came up. Will be calling the pharmacy tomorrow. Dotti does not work well for me. Doesn't mean it's bad, just not in sync with my body."

"I have gone through multiple Mylan generics as well as Lyllana, and none of them work for me. The only thing that keeps me from raging, horrible smells, horrible body aches, and loss of memory is Dotti. I don't have hot flashes, though I have night sweats periodically (Get the BedJet, never slept better!) My symptoms are more along the odder ones: itchy ears, a burning chemical smell that burns my nose, skin sensations like being itchy when nothing is there, hearing sounds that no one else does, weakness, severe fatigue, mood swings, rages, irritability, just overall malaise. If I change from Dotti, it all comes back. I had rashes under some of the other brands of patches, others didn't stick. I am a person who can't take any generic or store brand medications. I usually take 4-5 different generics before I find one that works and doesn't make me suicidal, so I know I'm not like most people. But I would lose my life if they take Dotti away, I can't survive without my Dotti estradiol."

"Horrid! Not working. Mostly success with the 'rectangle' Vivelle dots and their generics. There is no way large studies were done to confirm equivalencies. This site alone shows 2.3% out of 10 user rating, whereas Vivelle Dot has a 7 out of 10. All disgusting symptoms are returning."

"I am only one month in with Dottie, however, the difference for me has been nothing short of incredible! Within one hour of applying the patch, it was almost like the world seemed brighter. I was changing sheets in the middle of the night from night sweats, spending 40% of my life surviving hot flashes while others were surviving me, and was truly the prime example of a postmenopausal woman for the past seven years of my life. I was prescribed the Dotti patch and progesterone capsules to be taken nightly one month ago. I will say the first few days I fought a bit of nausea, have had trouble sleeping two nights, and have gotten a little emotional a time or two, but hot flashes have diminished to almost nonexistent. I have not had bad night sweats in three-plus weeks, and my moods are much more stable than before the hormone therapy. This is just my experience so far. Hope it helps! P.S. It is not pretty, I agree. I just try to conceal or put a pretty band-aid over it."

"My pharmacy replaced my Mylan estradiol patch with Dotti. Within 2 days, I had spotting and then hot flashes. Within a week, I was waking nightly at 4 a.m. and unable to sleep with constant temperature changes during the day. I had two remaining patches of the old brand that I had in my travel bag. I used them, and the symptoms abated. I've had to switch pharmacies, but my ob-gyn was able to help find a provider and specified the brand."

"I was very happy with my old .05 mg/day patches. I've used patches from two other manufacturers with no problem, but last month I was switched to Dotti .05/day. The Dotti patches don't work. They stick for a couple of days, but they don't deliver .05 mg of estradiol per day like they're supposed to. Even the label admits that these are smaller and contain less estrogen than the others, even though it also says .05 mg/day. Dotti must have rounded up...way up...in order to call these patches .05 mg/day."

"I am on my second Dotti patch and have been throwing the bed covers on and off, and losing patience. I am wondering if the Dotti patch has been causing these symptoms. I need to go back to Vivelle to see if those symptoms stop."

"I had a total hysterectomy last month and was originally given the Sandoz brand. The edges of this one didn't stay on well, and I always had a ring of dirt on the skin after removal. When I refilled the med, I received Dotti, and they stick so much better!! I didn't notice any difference therapeutically as I was not yet having vasomotor symptoms (I am 42), and I still haven't had any symptoms since surgery 6 weeks ago."

"I came to this site because I was searching for reviews of this estradiol patch. I felt it was reducing the severity of my hot flashes, but not as much as I expected. Reading these reviews has confirmed my belief that this patch is not very effective. I'm going to search for an alternative."

"Dotti is awful in appearance! The positive is that the patch is small and circular. The negative is the patch isn't clear, but it has writing on it! So humiliating and degrading! Surely most women who use this type of patch are looking for discretion (in addition to effectiveness)! At least let it be clear or even have a cute tattoo appearance (flower, etc.)! I hate it!"

"Terrible. Drenching night sweats. .0375 mg worked on a previous patch, pharmacy switched brands on me. Worthless patch."

"Was on the Vivelle patch for many years and then Estradiol when it was available as a generic. Last fall, my med insurance changed and so did my mail-order prescription plan. Was automatically sent the Dotti patch. Started having symptoms I didn't relate to the patch until I made a connection and found this site - vivid, odd dreams, hot flashes, night sweats, and general irritability (hadn't had this for years on the other patches). Finally got my doctor to request the generic patch only. Of course, suddenly, it's not available through mail order, and I have to get it at a local pharmacy for more than twice the cost, and it's generic. But it's worth it."
