"It has stopped the night sweats, hot flashes, and anxiety attacks. I was having issues with these symptoms daily and on a continuous basis. Once I started the CombiPatch, the symptoms were gone in less than a week."

"Started the patch one year ago, it took away my symptoms almost immediately: hot flashes, sleepless nights, electrical shock feelings, anxiety for no reason. I am very happy with it, the downside is that I'm bleeding like a light period a lot and have some breast pain. Getting that checked out soon."

"I was diagnosed with sudden early menopause. Severe migraines (worse than I ever had), anxiety and panic attacks, insomnia (barely sleeping), depression, and night sweats. I really started feeling 90% better within a couple of weeks. I’m sleeping. Anxiety is minimal, and I’m sleeping again. Minimal side effects, but I’ve had bloating and bad indigestion."

"The only drawback to this medication is that it burns my skin and leaves an ugly outline of the patch. After two days, my skin starts to burn, causing blisters. I do get breakthrough bleeding, my doctor says it’s normal. Minus the skin burns, my hot flashes and fatigue have significantly improved!"

"I was on CombiPatch for many years but had to go off of it about a year ago after retiring. Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover CombiPatch. Although I am not sure that it is totally due to going off CombiPatch, I have experienced many changes over the last several months. Those include the return of hot flashes, difficulty sleeping, extreme memory loss and brain fog, irritability, a sense of sadness, possibly depression, achy joints, and just no joy in my life. I spoke to my GYN about it at my annual yesterday. The out-of-pocket cost of CombiPatch for me would be almost $230 a month, and I cannot afford that. Due to this, we are going to try a generic estrogen patch and an oral progesterone tablet. I’ll see how that goes, and if this does not relieve some of my symptoms, I would appreciate someone who is knowledgeable about how I could possibly get CombiPatch from Canada. I have no idea how this works, and I want to appreciate the information if someone can please help me. Thank you."

"I have been going through full-blown menopause for 8 years, plus I was in peri-menopause for 3 years prior to that. I have not taken hormone replacement therapy up to this point. However, after my skin, hair, and nails got even drier, no sex drive, and not being able to have intercourse with my husband for about 3 years because the pain was too unbearable, I decided to try HRT. My doctor put me on the CombiPatch. At first, I did not have any side effects, but I have had constant bleeding for the last 2 weeks with mild cramping and bloating. I found myself barely being able to hold my eyes open around 4 pm every day and was having to sleep. This was my first month being on it, and I have one patch left. At the end of the 7th patch, I took it off and did not put my last patch on. It has been 3 days now with no patch, and I am still bleeding, cramping, and bloating. This has been horrible. I will deal with the hot flashes. I have dealt with them for 11 years...better than HRT."

"I was prescribed this medicine for intractable migraines that seemed to be associated with decreased estrogen and for awful night sweats and insomnia. The migraines almost completely disappeared and are now stopped with 50 mg Imitrex (that had previously gotten to the point where nothing stopped them). The night sweats and insomnia completely stopped."

"I've been on this patch for a short period of time, however, I can say it works fast! On the 2nd day using this product, my flashes and night sweats were less severe! I did experience nervousness on the 1st day, it lasted just a few hours, then went away. So far, so good."

"I'm 51 years old, in perimenopause, and having terrible night sweats, heart palpitations, vaginal dryness, and anxiety. Was using vaginal estrogen cream with micronized progesterone for certain days each month. That helped with vaginal dryness, but not insomnia caused by night sweats. I just started the 0.5/0.14 patch. It instantly gave me the worst acid reflux, and I take a PPI daily. I mean the worst. I have a hiatal hernia, so GERD is a huge problem. Estrogen just may be off-limits for me since it relaxes the esophagus. I'm going to try to stick it out for a month to see if it gets better. The patch came off the first day, so I bought waterproof Nexcare medical tape to put over it. I hope this patch works for me. The palpitations are scary, and my anger/anxiety is even scarier for people who have to deal with me!!"

"I have been taking Activella for exactly 2 weeks now. I noticed the hot flushes and night sweats have definitely decreased, but I still feel very emotional and irritable. I haven't had a migraine in over 10 years. In the last 2 weeks, I have had 4 migraines, which make me feel awful, so nauseous and unable to do anything. I don't know if I should continue with the meds and hope the migraines will stop or just stop taking the meds altogether. I feel like the menopause symptoms are mild compared to the migraines. What should I do?"

"6+ years into taking Activella 1mg estradiol. Now aged 63. It improved my life and depression with menopause. *Had taken birth control pills most of my adult life. Don't feel I would ever go off Activella. No side effects. I have low thyroid since 2004, and since COVID am now COPD for the past year. So anything that improves my now shorter life is a blessing. Thank you."

"This patch has been a game changer! For 20 plus years, I've had awful night sweats to where my sheets were drenched wet. Every doctor told me I just had to deal with it. I was always hot, sweaty, and so much more. Until the doctor I have now prescribed the CombiPatch! All of the awful symptoms were gone. But now, my insurance is giving me a hassle and I can't afford it anymore. It's been 2 months and now the awful symptoms are returning. My last hope is to ask the pharmacy if they accept the coupon. I sure hope they do. If you can afford this medicine, you will be so amazed!"

"Hot flashes were relieved; however, I suddenly (never before experienced) a migraine with some nausea after 2 months on this medicine. I used ES Tylenol and felt better in 3 hours. Since this is the only medication I was taking and my overall health is very good, I decided to reduce the dosage by taking the medication every other day. The hot flashes were still relieved, and this half dosage was for one month. Last week, I suffered another migraine and vomiting and was under the weather for an entire day. I have decided to go off the medication completely."

"I was prescribed Activella for 5 years. It worked beautifully for me, and I felt good. I changed to Prempro because of insurance, and about 3 weeks into that change, I started developing breast tenderness, headache, and sleep issues. Unfortunately, I have to wait until October when I can change my insurance again to get back on Activella."

"I have been on and off CombiPatch (due to working out of the United States) for the past 10 years, and it wasn't available. I just resumed taking it and have been experiencing cramping and vaginal bleeding on and off for the past two months. My doctor and I are taking a conservative approach and are waiting a period of time for my body to adjust before we take any further action. I am comfortable with this for the time being. Next step if the bleeding doesn't stop would be to order an ultrasound of my uterus."

"Works great for me. No more hot flashes! Vaginal prolapse is less bothersome! Some minor spotting weeks 3-5, but not enough to use a liner or pad. The adhesive sticks fine and does not cause me skin irritation. I am 3 years post-menopausal and wish I had started CombiPatch sooner!"

"I was postmenopausal and dying with night sweats and continual hot flashes. I felt horrible and had for some time. I finally asked my doctor for help, and he recommended CombiPatch. It worked wonderfully. I have used it for years, and my doctor said I may have to use it for the rest of my life. The problem right now is this: it is backordered from the manufacturer, and I am now back into full-blown menopause. Oh, my. I am wondering what is wrong and if it will ever be available again. The price may be making it not an option for many. I am going to ask for a replacement even though I loved this medication."

"I have been using this product for years, and I hate to go without it. I sleep well, no hot flashes, mood is reasonably stable, no vaginal dryness. At one point when I was without it while waiting for my script to fill, I knew how much it was helping me. All good, and it is easy to use. Unfortunately, it is expensive and not always in stock. My current medication insurance does not cover the whole price, but it will be helpful once I hit my deductible. In the meantime, it is pricey. There are no good coupons that I have been able to find."

"I am 65 years old and have been taking Activella for about 13 years. In the first years of my menopause, I tried everything natural and bio-identical, as well as other HRT options, but I only felt good when I started taking Activella. In the first year, I took a higher dose of 2 mg, then reduced it to 1 mg. After a few years, I further lowered the dose to now taking half a pill every 3 to 4 days, which is a 7th of the low dose. Activella has helped me tremendously. I still can't completely stop it, even though my doctor urges me to due to the long duration of intake."

"I used CombiPatch for 5 months. After only two weeks of use, I experienced almost complete relief from my severe, frequent hot flashes and insomnia. I did not have any problems with adhesion. Unfortunately, I developed sensitivity to the adhesive and had to discontinue use."

"My symptoms were slight, including flashes at night and some insomnia. Vaginal dryness was another concern. The patch has really helped. It's been almost a year since I started the patch. Early on, I had some spotting, but that has stopped. I am having some puffiness in the application area."

"Been taking Activella for 7 months now, no hot flushes, but still got night sweats. I will be stopping tomorrow as have been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in my calf today. So gave me worst symptoms, would rather have the hot flushes back. Caution when taking this drug."

"My menopausal symptoms do not include hot flashes, only some night sweats. But my taking this medicine is to sleep better. I was not sleeping, only 2 hours then 3 hours. I did not want to take sleeping pills forever. Also, I am gaining weight. These are the pros and cons of the patch for me."

"I am very disappointed with this product. After using 5 patches, I developed a cyst on my right ovary and had to spend out of pocket for the ultrasound and vaginal camera test, as my insurance would not pay. I started to hemorrhage very badly for about 4 hours and had severe cramping for weeks on end. I could not work in my office. Upon going to see an OBGYN, he said most likely this product caused this cyst, as I was not using any other product at the time. I would highly recommend you NOT use this product. I wrote them a letter and asked for my out of pocket expenses, including the repayment of the product, and I got NO RESPONSE. This is very unprofessional of them and just not ethically right. When this kind of negative side effect comes up, the pharmaceutical company needs to step up to the plate and be held responsible and do the right thing by responding to my request. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT AT ALL!!"

"To anonymous, CombiPatch is expensive when paying out-of-pocket. Check with your insurance. As for effectiveness, it really works for hot flashes and night sweats. I've been using it for the last three years."
