For Major Depressive Disorder "This is an update to a review I wrote 6 months ago. I have now been on Spravato for one year. I have had depression and suicidal thoughts nearly every day for the past 25 years. Except for the last year on Spravato. Every month I see a gradual improvement. The biggest improvement my first six months was the cessation of suicidal ideation. The last six months, not only has my general sadness gone away, but I can now bounce back when things are rough. I still have healing to do, but none of it would be possible without Spravato."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I can only speak about my own experience. The medicine does the work it sets out to do. I am a person struggling with CPTSD and depression. Spravato has helped significantly reduce suicidal ideation, reduce depression, and overall increase my well-being. The post-nasal drip is similar to that of any allergy nasal spray. The onset lasts approximately two hours in which I meditate, listen to audiobooks, and practice mindfulness. This is the largest breakthrough in psychiatric medication since 1987. I am not paid for this review nor am I affiliated with the pharma industry in any way."

For Major Depressive Disorder "My first treatment was February 7, 2020, and my life has been completely changed thanks to this medication. For one thing, it has given me hope that there are new treatments to fight depression. The best thing is it is working! I no longer stay in bed all the time. I have more energy, and I enjoy living life again. As far as the treatments themselves, I get a feeling of euphoria for the first 40 minutes. My face, lips, and nose have a very numb feeling which goes away within about 2 hours. Some days after my treatment I feel fatigued, and some days I have a good amount of energy. For me, watching funny videos/comedians/movies on my iPad helps me not to dwell on the results of my treatment when coming down from the 'high'. Personally, this medication is a blessing and it has given me my life back."

For Major Depressive Disorder "Suicidal depression has plagued me since before I could even conceive of it — probably very much like gender. A panoply of medicines, always with Cylert or Ritalin, provided a substantial modicum of relief for decades. However, consciousness continued to be unbearably painful, and a craving for self-annihilation became my default. One week of the higher-dose treatment (3 containers) remains, and, while I am not elated, the constant suicide hunger is gone. I don’t yet know if it facilitates pleasure, but it does stop the death default."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I’ve dealt with depression for over 40 years and have been on most medications. This is the first time I’ve felt on the path to the true me, free of the clouds. This has literally saved my life. While I chose MDD as the condition, I am more accurately Treatment-Resistant Depression."

For Depression "I started in December, and to put it simply, it saved my life. It took about six weeks, and I've also been taking Prozac and some supplements, which have also helped. For the first time in my life, I feel like I can function normally. I would be a poster child for this drug if I could."

For Depression "Details: a medium intranasal dose twice a week in office for a month, followed by a high dose once a week. Not a cure. If you stop, your depression will return. Experience: spray a mist of Spravato into each nostril while at the office. You then need to wait two hours to be monitored for the effects to wear off. For me, the first 20 minutes are unpleasant, like a psychedelic trip that is a bit too strong. Due to COVID-19, I cannot bring anyone with me, so I listen to guided meditations. I have vomited on the higher dose, but an accompanying Zofran has helped tremendously. In my bag: water bottle, crackers, hard candy, a book. The nasal spray drips down your throat and tastes terrible. Results: Spravato has helped me tremendously. I am 36, and have had depression since I was 12. I have tried many medications, with only minor results (including TMS). The appointments are unpleasant for me, but they are worth it for the relief. It was about two months before I saw results."
