"I have been taking Steglatro for over a month now, and wow, my numbers have gone down from the highest 351 to a high 254 to the 150-166 range fasting. With diet change. This medicine has really helped me meet my goal numbers."

"While taking this medication, Steglatro, my BG numbers were great. I am a type 1 diabetic and was using this medication to improve my A1c. I took this medication for about 4 months, with a reoccurring yeast infection about every 3 weeks. I decided to discontinue this medication, although my numbers were great, I couldn't live with the terrible yeast infections."

"You could have every side effect listed. It will not do much to lower your A1C, but you will have severe dehydration, elevated heart rate, and potentially a yeast infection. Plus, the cost is ridiculous."

"I use Steglatro 5 mg to help reduce the amount of insulin I need to take. I have T1DM. It works very well at reducing my numbers! I am disappointed to say that I may have to go off of it because I get daily headaches. I just started this medication 2 weeks ago and woke up the first night with a headache. I am going to give it more time, and hopefully the headaches go away so I can stay on this medication!"

"I've been taking Steglatro for type 2 diabetes for the last 3 months, after metformin really not agreeing with me. After 4 weeks on Steglatro, I had a really severe reaction down below, which was excruciating for a week. I was going to come off it, but I'm pleased I've carried on taking it as I've lost so much weight, which for years I struggled to lose, and now it's melting off me. I've had no more bad side effects, my sugar levels have dropped so much that I'm 2 points off going into remission. This has been fantastic medication, and I'm so pleased I was put on it."

"First, Steglatro did lower my blood sugar. That is a good thing, I suppose. Now the bad stuff: Steglatro increased my joint pain phenomenally. Within 12 hours of taking the first pill, joint pain skyrocketed and stayed high until several days after I stopped taking it. I was able to treat the joint pain with other medications - just adding more pills to my daily routine. Steglatro made me so fatigued that I couldn't function. My doctor told me that it would help me lose weight, but I gained weight instead. It was only about 10 pounds in 2 years, the reason being that I was very active before taking it, and it prevented me from exercising with any real energy. Steglatro basically works via dehydration, and no matter how much I drank, I still had sleep problems, dry mouth, and associated dental problems. It's an appetite suppressant, but too strong - it's been a huge struggle to eat anything, healthy or not. I'm very excited to quit this medication."

"After a year, my cholesterol went from 120 to over 300. Dr. didn't believe it was the cause, so kept me on it. Second year and my cholesterol is 774. No change in diet. Decided to go off."

"This has been awesome. My sugars have been the best they have ever been. Mornings used to be 200s, NOW avg 150-170. After work used to be 200+, NOW 150-170. Before dinner used to be 150, NOW low 100s. I do use with 35 units of Lantus at bedtime and have ended using mealtime insulin regularly (only use when I spike over 200), and even then the amount is drastically lower, as 5 units lowers 50-75 on the meter. Not experiencing any side effect issues. Taking 5 mg dose."
