"This was my first time using this product. It was given to me as a complimentary soap at the Hampton Inn I recently stayed at. I, like many others, have broken out in a rash (contact dermatitis), I also ended up with allergic conjunctivitis in my eyes (basically the same thing as pink eye, but it is caused by an allergic reaction)."

"Used this Neutrogena French-milled soap in a Hampton Inn. Next morning, I was swollen and red. Didn’t think too much about it, but the second day it was twice as bad. Ended up at a walk-in clinic because it was the weekend. Injection, cortisone cream, and 6 days of steroids. Never itched so much in my life. So glad I only washed my face. Hilton needs to pull this soap."

"I used the Neutrogena transparent facial bar soap for several years, thinking it was a mild and gentle soap for my face. I had no problems for a long time, but recently my face began breaking out with nasty bumps that were itchy and red. I thought it was a reaction to food, and I never thought of the soap as being the cause of this. But after realizing that the only thing could be the soap, I stopped using it, and my face has cleared up. I no longer have the bumps and itching. I guess one must need to be aware that this soap may not be good for long-term use, despite that it is 'dermatologist recommended.'"

"I tried the regular Neutrogena bar soap to shower with. After coming out of the shower, my forehead was all red. I looked like a freak! I will NEVER use it again."

"Beware of Neutrogena French milled soap in hotels. This is not hypoallergenic! Massive skin rash requiring Benadryl and topical steroids for 2 days. Cannot find out what is in this, but I’ve never had it happen with anything else."
