Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) "Used orange mango spf15 Blistex and it made my lips red, swollen, itchy and burning sensation. Felt like I had Botox or something, lips were big than normal. And all I wanted was to prevent dry chapped lips, instead I got Botox looking lips. Going on day 3 and they’re still the same!! Horrible product!! I didn’t expect this outcome! DO NOT BUT!! Shame on Blistex for not fully researching the effects of this product!!"

Cetaphil Cleanser (emollients) "I bought this thinking it would be mild. I have used another variation of it in the past without issues. I think I have used this for about a week and noticed my top eyelids are red, and now dry patches and itchy and swollen. I am assuming it has to be the cleanser. I hope it goes away without having to go to the dr. My eyelids actually hurt. Never again will I use this product."

CeraVe (emollients) "Used CeraVe Daily PM moisturiser. Beyond Terrible!! Its crazy after reading so many negative reviews that this is still recommended as a "low allergen" "non commodegenic" product. A bit of back story- I'm 34 years old, have mildly sensitive skin but never suffer from pimples or pigmentation issues as am very strict with my diet:i.e no sugar, no vegetable oils, no grains, no dairy etc. Have been using this product for 3 weeks and every day my skin is getting worse and worse! My face has become incredibly red on forehead and cheeks and have developed quite severe pimples all over forehead. Absolute disaster of a product"

Cetaphil Cleanser (emollients) "I always had hormonal pimples, but my skin wasn't dry or oily. Since using Cetaphil, my forehead is extremely oily and broken out in small pimples. My face BURNS when I use the cleanser, but I have never had sensitive skin so I am unsure what is happening."

EpiCeram (emollients) "I have been an eczema sufferer all of my life. For the most part I am eczema-free now except for my eyelids and intermittent body flares. I had been using Protopic which worked very well except I had a sensitivity to an inactive ingredient which caused large cysts on my eyebrow area which were painful. I was given trial samples of EpiCeram to use. Quite honestly, I do not find it helpful. The Protopic would clear my skin in 1-2 applications (along with the steroids for my body) whereas EpiCeram I would apply twice a day for an entire week and saw no improvement. In fact, I had a rash on my chest that I was applying the EpiCeram to and it seemed to make it worse.Used it on my face and broke out with small pimples and blotchy."

Dermasil Lotion (emollients) "I love this cream! I have extreme dry skin on my body. It itches--terrible. This is the only cream that gives me relief. I apply it daily all over and problem solved!! It's affordable. I get it at the Dollar Store. I wish it smelled a bit better, but I can live with it because it works so well."

Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) "I purchased the Blistex strawberry coconut lip smoothies as a part of a 3 pack. After using it my lips turned bright red, burn, are hot to touch, itchy, and very swollen. I’ve put ice on them but it’s been two days and hasn’t gotten any better. The other scents/flavors in the pack didn’t give me this reaction. I really think there is something wrong because this is the second time this happened after using the strawberry one."

Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) "I used the Blistex fruit smoothies strawberry coconut chapstick last night and woke up with red itchy swollen lips. This has happened to me before and I thought maybe something was going on with me went to urgent care because my lips were swollen for almost a week and they hurt. Couldn’t find anything wrong with me. Here after last night and remembering I used this chapstick I go and check to see if anyone has ever had a reaction to it and I see all these reviews with people experiencing the same issue. Why is this still being sold in the stores?? My throat was itchy as well. I would not recommend this brand to anyone."

Biafine (emollients) "I got a tattoo on my lower leg. An area of it that was directly over my shin bone became an open wound after the skin peeled off. My derm gave me samples of Biafine and told me to apply it twice daily. I am amazed at the healing after only 3 days of application! The cream soothes the pain and promotes healing rapidly! I think whoever invented it should receive an award as I have never had such a rapid and significant response to a medication. I highly recommend it.....ask your derm about it. ( P.S.- I am an RN with 35 years of experience.)"

Eucerin (emollients) "I rubbed the lotion into the hands as you would any skin lotion. The skin on my hands immediately felt a burning sensation. My knuckles swelled. I washed my hands and put them under running cold water. It's been 15 minutes and the burning has gone away. My knuckles still look swollen but are calming down. Eucerin is an OTC skincare cream. This is the first time I used it."

Gold Bond Ultimate Healing (emollients) "I used the Gold Bond Ultimate Healing product and I got a rash and itching to the point of bleeding on my hands, arms, chest, neck and face. It was a terrible reaction to the product. My 103 yr. old Mother used it and experienced similar reactions to it. After the reaction, I immediately washed it off my Mother and me. She healed after about a week and its taken over a month for my skin to heal. I couldn't go out and socialize with friends because I looked terrible. But, my hands and arms are sensitive and my hands and arms are no sensitive. I can no longer wash dishes with dish soap with them getting itchy. The skin on my hands looks rough and the texture is not the same as it was before I used GB lotion. I've never had a reaction to lotions and creams before using the Gold Bond."

Gold Bond Ultimate Healing (emollients) "Omg I used this gold bond ultimate healing and had the worst experience ever. My entire body felt like it was on fire, the itching was at 10+. It took me a few days to figure what was going on as I was actually using this lotion to stop the itch not realizing that this was the cause. I found out when I was trying to moisturize my feet and they flared up to a 10 immediately. Also I cannot do my dishes as my hands are extremely sensitive. So disappointed with this product."

Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) "I bought Blistex orange mango blast while going into work because it was on sale for $1.99 and now I guess I know why... I used this product at work about 2 times over 3 hours and my lips started to burn and turned bright red I put some ice on them and nothing, now this morning I woke up with lips that are super swollen and hives at the bottom! I’m very angry that this has happened to so many people and you can still buy this product"

Mederma (emollients) "I seem to be the rare exception, but I used mederma for approximately five days, and by day five I had a golf ball size round area that looks like millions of raised angry red bumps. They are very rough to the touch, and so far, after stopping all product application have not reduced in size, but the redness is more a bright pink now."

I'm not sure which ingredient is the problem. I have used Blistex products for years with no side affects. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE BLISTEX FRUIT SMOOTHIES!!"

Jergens (emollients) "PRODUCT: JERGENS NATURAL GLOW WET SKIN MOISTURIZER After my first application, my skin appeared more tan-I was happy with the results. After my 2nd application, I developed itchiness around my neck, back of my neck and the inside of my forearms. I’m now day 5 after the 1st application and the itchiness is extremely severe and feels extremely tight. I now have large dried blotchy spots with the appearance of red, old-looking, wrinkled skin. I now have to avoid the outdoors due to the burning and itching that’s intensified with perspiration because it’s too much to bear. I am now seeking medical attention. This product should’ve never made “the shelf” with the slightest possibility of causing a reaction such as this. I’m left with old-looking, wrinkly, itchy, red skin and now facing doctor bills."

Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) "All the comments are true. I used it for the first time about a year ago and my lips were swollen and hot. I threw them out. I decided to purchase a 3 pack again in another State and within 2 days my lips were feeling the same. However this time I looked it up and found all of these posts. IS THERE A RECALL? It should be pulled off the shelves! Don’t buy it!!!"

Biafine (emollients) "I was dismissed after 35 radiation treatments on my left lower leg with a huge gaping wound. ( Severe radiation burn. About nine inches long, four inches wide and probably a half inch deep on top of left lower leg) The radiation doctor told me to put Aquaphor on the enormous wound. What a joke. Aquaphor did absolutely nothing to help the wound. (My leg had been treated after surgery to remove a sarcoma) Went straight home to my computer and looked up “heal radiation burns” on Amazon. Found Biafine immediately. It completely healed that big wound in one week. AMAZING."

So far so good on day two now, I am itch free and dry skin is going away."

EpiCeram (emollients) "Cracked dry and itchy skin on my hands is much better after three weeks of use. I no longer fear getting my hands wet which used to cause a flare up of eczema especially on my knuckles. This is the best results I have had from any treatment in years. The only problem I did have was after putting it on my face after shaving (as directed by my doctor) vapors from the cream irritated my eyes."

CeraVe (emollients) "I tried CeraVe at the urging of my mother who felt that it was a good lotion for hydration, however, my personal experience was that it was a bit greasy and did not soak into the skin well and definitely didn't last very long before needing to be reapplied. I bought it and used it once. I only kept the bottle in case my mother comes over and requests it. Otherwise I would have just thrown it away. Deeply disappointed."

CeraVe (emollients) "For years I've tried to use Cerave cream because it's reccomemded by dermatologists, but every single time I apply it, it burns and turns my face red. I've tried the moisturising cream, the lotion and the hydrating cleanser too. They all burn and sting horribly, leaving my face red, sore and splotchy. I also end up with more clogged pores and uneven skin texture too. I am surprised at how many other people have noticed these horrible effects, I thought it was only me."

I applied the lotion before I went to bed and when I woke up in the morning my entire face was swollen and burned with a rash. I would NOT recommend this product. I have discontinued use of the cream however an still trying to get my skin back to its natural state."
