"I have suffered with migraines since childhood. Missed days of school and eventually days of work. I've been put on every medication doctors could think of and spent quite a bit of time in ERs due to chronic migraines. Finally, I switched doctors due to a move and was prescribed Relpax. This stuff is absolutely AMAZING! I prefer the 40 mg dose, and it takes care of my migraine within 20 minutes."

"I have had migraines for over 20 years. I started using Relpax about a year ago, and it works all the time and every time with a single 40 mg dose. This drug is a lifesaver. I only wish there was a preventative that worked along the same lines as Relpax. It is pricey, but I really have no other options. I tried the generic, but it did not work. I don't understand the science behind it, but only the name brand Relpax works for me. I use generics for all of my other meds, and they seem to work fine..... I guess."

"I love Relpax. I had incapacitating headaches in college, as a young mom, and still have them now as a grandmother, though not as frequent. If I take a Relpax at the beginning signs, the headache does not progress. If I can't get to my medication early or if I am trying to conserve my pills and try to handle the headache a different way, it still works but just takes longer, and I usually have to go to bed with ice bags. Sometimes it still gets to vomiting stages, but not as frequently. My biggest wish is that the insurance companies would not try to limit how many they think I need. I so appreciate the savings card and only hope I can use it for more than just this year."

"This is the first migraine medicine I have ever taken that actually WORKS. I go through spans of time where I am migraine-free for a month or more, but then get walloped for a week or two on and off with BAD migraines. These actually cause pain in my temples and the nerves in my face and ears. It's horrific. Although this medicine is very costly ($40 WITH my health insurance copay for FOUR pills), they do offer a $10 co-pay card, which I will be trying out this week when I refill. I recommend this pill - within 2 hours, all signs of the headache are gone. It saved my New Year's Eve!"

"Relpax is the most reliable migraine medication for me, been using it for 3-4 years, 2-6 times/month. I tell anyone with migraines to try Relpax. Within 1.5 hours, my pain is gone, very rarely have I needed 2 pills. I do have side effects: my arms feel really heavy and weak, my chest feels achy, and my throat feels tight. This will start within the first 30 minutes but be completely gone by the time my pain is gone. I take Excedrin for my migraines that have low intensity/pain, which usually works, but if not, I take Relpax. If the headache is terrible right off, I know to take the Relpax right away. I may feel wiped out for the rest of the day, but I can work and do what I need to."

"I've had migraines for over 20 years now. Nothing works perfectly or on its own for me, but Relpax works consistently and seems to truly get rid of the migraine, unlike Imitrex. Sometimes my stomach gets upset or I get weird flu aches with both 'triptans.' It's a walk in the park compared to the lost time to migraine pain. Relpax is very expensive, but I actually use one of those apps that give you discounts without insurance, and it was cheaper than insurance. Also, pill count is not restricted the same way. My doctor just gave me a script, and I filled 30 pills for less than $200 at a major grocery chain on the East Coast! Do some legwork. It shouldn't be this hard, but it's possible! Running out of pills is a great fear we all have - you don't have to..."

"I was offered this medicine by my doctor to try after 30 years of suffering with migraines. Within 20 minutes, the symptoms are gone. The heavy feeling across my chest, arms, and neck, and difficulty swallowing are inconvenient, but I am functional, and it is easier to tolerate than a 3-day incapacitating headache. The cost almost floored me: $187.00 for 8/20 mg pills. I will only use it under the most extreme circumstances."

"I have been getting migraines for 23 years, I'm 43 now. I get 3-4 migraines per week. I used to take Imitrex, but that started to not work so well. It usually took 60 to 90 minutes to work, and I would always feel tired after taking it. I went to a neurologist, and he started me on Relpax. What a difference! I have 80 mg pills that I cut in half. Within 30 minutes, I am good as new. No major side effects for me, which is great. I highly recommend giving it a try. I still get about 4 migraines a week, but I can take 40 mg, and they go away. Now if I could only find a daily pill that would reduce the frequency of my migraines...."

"Relpax 40 mg is my go-to medication when I have a bad migraine. I have tried almost all triptans, and this works best for me. If taken ASAP, it typically zaps my migraine within 60-90 mins. Relpax makes me feel spacey, 'floaty,' and tired, so I usually take it and then lay down for a nap. The side effects disappear within an hour or two. This seems to be stronger than Imitrex (sumatriptan) or Maxalt (rizatriptan). Not sure if it is actually stronger or just works better for me. It is quite expensive, even with insurance."

"Can't live without it! I have at least one migraine a month, and this medication is always successful in bringing me relief. The side effect I experience is grogginess while it is taking effect, but once the medicine wears off, the fatigue is gone along with my migraine."

"I'm 20, and I've had migraines since I was 6 years old. I had tried everything my doctor could think of before I went to a neurologist, and she suggested Relpax. I will never go back to any of the 'home remedies' or any other medication as long as Relpax is on the market. I get visual blind spots when a migraine is setting in, and I take it as soon as the spots appear, which is usually 10 minutes before the pain starts. Within 30 minutes, I'm back to feeling great."

"I have suffered from migraines for over 15 years (I am 28), and I have tried EVERYTHING, from heavy drugs to Advil, and nothing has worked for me. I actually fit into a small percentage of people whose migraines worsen when taking medications. Relpax has been the only thing that has given me relief. It is expensive, but on the same my neurologist gave me, there was a coupon to get my monthly prescription for only $10; (I got 6 pills for $10 instead of $50)."

"I have had migraines for 30 years. For many years, I just suffered and pushed through no matter how bad it was. About 10 years ago, I started with migraine fog and could not focus or remember anything to the point I was at my grandma's house all the time just so she could watch the baby so I wouldn't forget to feed her or take care of her because I was in such tremendous pain. ER visits were frequent, and the local ER put me on the drug seekers' warning. I was suffering 15 plus days a month!! I have tried every trip drug on the market, and sumatriptan made my face feel on fire, turn bright red, and nosebleed. Then my neurologist said to try this... And let me tell ya, it was a GODsend! I love it!! Best stuff ever! $$$"

"I take the 40 mg of Relpax as needed for migraines. I have had migraines for over a year now. I also take a daily preventive medicine, so I feel like with the preventive medicine that if I need to take the Relpax, it is very helpful. The only thing I do not like about it is that it tends to make my neck and jaw sore. But other than that, it does its job for me and gets rid of my migraines, and hardly ever do I have to take 2 of them."

"I started getting migraines late, around 47 years old. I thought it was a sinus headache. Relpax is the only medicine I've ever taken, going on 12 years now. I am able to function normally - side effects minimal for me. I have Relpax at work, in the car - just in case. I can't imagine how I would be able to function without it. The drug company assists me with the cost - I am very thankful."

"I've suffered with migraines for 30 years. 3 to 5 migraines a week. I've taken everything in the book. It works for a bit, and after one to two years, either stops working or I develop an intolerance. This has been the best thing that came my way. It works 90-95% of the time. I'd rather deal with the side effects than the big horrible monster (migraine). I'm able to work. It saddens me to say that I may have to stop taking it due to some side effects; I'm dreading telling this to my doctor about it. This might mean back to square one. I'm afraid of losing my job."

"For me, Relpax is a miracle pill. If I take it at migraine onset, the headache doesn't get worse. Unfortunately, my new insurance doesn't cover it. Sumatriptan got rid of the headache but turned me into a completely incoherent zombie for about twelve hours. I've never been so zonked out on a medication before. And it wasn't a fun kind of zonked-out. I was drowsy, got dizzy if I stood up for too long, couldn't focus on work, and couldn't legally drive a car. Rizatriptan also got rid of the headache and only made me about half as zonked out as the sumatriptan."

"I had tried sumatriptan and rizatriptan with no relief of my migraines. My headaches consisted of pain under my left eye, neck tenseness, stomach upset, and of course, headache. My doctor gave me a prescription for Relpax 40 mg and a savings card. I had migraine relief for the first time ever! It works every time if I take it at the first sign of a migraine and usually works even if I take it after the migraine has taken hold, although it's best if I can lay down and rest if my migraine has already started. Highly recommend it!!"

"The medication itself works well, however, the packaging is absolutely impossible to open! You have to use scissors to cut through the backing and then try to peel it back. When your vision is impaired and you can't tolerate any light, and your hands are shaking because you are in so much pain, this is a Herculean effort. My husband even struggled to open it for me when I couldn't. I wrote to Teva and got the, 'thank you for your input' brush-off after a lengthy email exchange providing the packaging info. Grrrr, looking for an alternate med now. It does me no good if I can't take it."

"I've suffered with migraines since the age of 10. I do not like to take prescription medicines. However, Relpax, in my estimation, is one of the best medicines ever made. I have suffered with light and sound sensitivity, throbbing of the eyes, and finally vomiting. I have literally lost whole days in bed due to the severity. I have been taking Relpax for over 3 years now, as needed. At the onset of a migraine, I usually drink warm tea or coffee with the pill, it seems to speed up the relief. Usually gone within 1 hour. My migraines have also become less frequent, and I no longer have the severe problem. The best medication I've ever taken and no side effects noticed."

"Have had migraines for about 7 years. Seems to have started a while after slipping and falling on my back in the kitchen. Held out arms to break the fall and my head tucked, slammed back. Headaches so intense you literally will call 911 to get immediate pain relief NOW. Vomiting, which intensifies the pressure, and blurred vision that is in no way a typical headache. Relpax 40 is the only thing I have ever tried and works. Add an ice pack and a BC powder, and it works faster to relieve my pain. Makes me feel much better after a long nap in a dark, cold room. Like any other illness, it takes a day or so to feel normal again. I have insurance and pay $10 for 10 pills per month with the discount card. Before that, I paid $10 per pill. It's truly a miracle med."

"Relpax is effective for taking away my migraine pain most of the time. I find I have to take 2 occasionally. The worst part is the side effect. It makes my joints ache (seems like all of them) for several hours after the migraine is gone. But at least it takes away the migraine. I guess the joint pain is the lesser of the two evils, and I am able to function."

"I suffered for years with migraines, I have lost entire weekends and days from these headaches. Relpax is a lifesaver. I had times I thought I wanted to die during these headaches. No more, don't have to suffer anymore. Get the script. It works. Does make you pee a lot."

"I am a 15-year migraine patient, and have exhausted migraine preventatives and abortives. When I found Relpax, I was and still am completely thankful. There are zero side effects in my case, and when I'm sick to my stomach, it takes care of that too. This is the miracle drug for migraine patients."

"Do the side effects (jaw pain, yawning, chest tightness that makes you feel like it's hard to breathe, general out-of-it feeling/inability to focus) kinda suck? Yeah. Does it ALWAYS work? No. Can I drive or work after I take it? Not for a few hours. I work in healthcare though, if it was a job where patients' health/lives weren't in my hands, it would probably be fine. Is it worth taking when I have a migraine? 100% yes. I've tried a lot of different triptans and a couple of non-triptan options. Currently, this is the best for me. When it works, it works in about an hour, and I'd much rather have the side effects than the nausea and pain from the migraine."
