For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Have taken Angeliq for 4 years, and feel very well. Has eliminated dryness and mood swings, also great improvement in hair, nails, etc. No weight gain, but slightly painful breasts during initial months, but now okay. Would recommend this hormone replacement therapy. Had tried others e.g. Femoston, Livial, and Estrocombi but this is the best of all and will keep taking for as long as possible."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Well, it changed my life. I was only 43 and everything was on a downhill, the hot flushes and mood swings unbearable, but two weeks into using Angeliq, hot flushes were gone. I was full of energy, 4 kilos lighter. Not sure if it is Angeliq, but I have been taking it for three years and I'm happy. All vaginal problems and water infections, which are down to menopause, gone totally."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I had all of the horrible symptoms of menopause. Some list include 32 - that was me. Sweating, weight gain, hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings... on and on. One month on Angeliq - all gone. I am so happy. This has made me a new woman."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I am 53. I suffered from insomnia, anxiety, heart palpitations, and bloating for years before my family doctor put me on Angeliq four years ago. It took over six months before I started to feel the difference. I have been a normal person now, leading a normal life. My family can't believe the difference in me. It has been a blessing."

Weight gain now gone after 3 months... Found it brilliant with my combination of vitamins! Vitamin B, krill oil, vitamin C, magnesium, and several others... also, exercise is so important. For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Helps with hot flashes and night sweats, but I've put on 8 pounds in 3 weeks, freaking me out. Anyone else having this issue? I'm hoping it will level out and I'll go back to my normal weight. I'm a small-framed person and never had this happen so quickly-nothing fits me!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "So I have been taking Angeliq 1 MG/2 MG tablets for a week now for vaginal dryness and low libido. I went through menopause and had 2 very bad months of night sweats/hot flashes and depression, but that all went away months ago. Since starting Angeliq 1 week ago, the night sweats are back with a vengeance. I know this is a very short time and I should wait to see if anything improves, but everything seems to be going in reverse, not getting better. Has anyone experienced this?"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Been using Angeliq for 8 years, starting at age 56. Have had osteopenia since age 38 due to a missed diagnosis of Graves’ disease. Was severely hyperthyroid for 3 years and told I was depressed! Angeliq has been excellent for my bones, menopausal symptoms, vaginal dryness, etc. My gyno wants me to stay on it since I am doing so well."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have been on Angeliq for now 14 months...within 3 weeks of using this medication...I literally got my life back....I had all the symptoms...hot flushes all night long and around ten throughout the day....no sleep...you know all the crappy symptoms I had. A hysterectomy 6 years ago was only 44 years old...then my life changed for the worst...I put up with all the horrible symptoms...thinking, well, this is life now....out of desperation, went to my doctor and told him I wanted my life back, and he said to try these. They should give me my life back...and he was right....I feel normal for the first time in 5 years....and I even lost 5 kilos....so definitely no weight gain for me on these pills....I know they work for me."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have been on Angeliq for about two years. I have picked up about 12 kg of weight in this short time, and I barely eat anything. I still get hot flushes, mainly first thing in the morning. I am suffering from IBS since starting this treatment, and I am bloated, constipated, and dreadfully uncomfortable. I have bad water retention. My body aches perpetually, and I generally feel exhausted and miserable. My hair is falling out by the bucket loads. There must be a better way. I have always been very slim before and could eat mountains of food without putting on any weight at all. This is now affecting my self-esteem."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I am 59 years old. I had all the symptoms of menopause, from dryness to night sweats, insomnia, mood swings, etc. I started taking Angeliq and now feel like I did when I was 25. I have been on it for 12 years and have never experienced the side effects mentioned. However, more recently, I am experiencing a strange prickly pain in my heart. I am hoping it's not serious. Quite honestly, I am actually afraid to get it checked, as I am afraid the doctor might ask me to stop my Angeliq intake. Sincerely, I will never ever be able to stop taking them. I will be miserable without them. They are my happy pills."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Been on Angeliq for many years. No side effects. They stop me from drying up and blowing away! Helped enormously with hormonal migraines. There has been a supply issue in Australia recently. Have been told it should be available by late June. I hope so. I have enough until then. It’s expensive at around $50 per month, but worth every cent for me."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I've tried two other medicines (Pempro and Femhrt) to relieve my hot flashes. Angeliq is the best. It did take a bit longer to start working, but once it started working, I feel great. No weight gain associated with this medicine, unlike the other two. Energy level has also improved."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I've been on Angeliq for 6 weeks only. It has already helped with my mood swings and sweats, however, since the second week of taking it, I started spotting, and this has increased so much that it is soaking my clothing, and I ended up in the emergency room with severe bleeding, flooding. I've been told to keep on this for another week with tablets to help reduce the bleeding. These are not doing much. I notice that when I've taken a tablet of HRT, I then get cramping and then I flood. So, obviously not good. Anyone else had this?"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I am 54 and have used Angeliq for several years with good results, although for me it was more effective for hot flashes in combination with Lexapro. I am happy to see they approved Angeliq in a lower dose and will be moving to the lower dose formulation. It is expensive, however, and I am annoyed that it is not available in 'refills' for the leather packet it comes in -- it is such a waste of packaging to receive a new leather packet in each refill, and I am sure that inflates the cost."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Been on Angeliq for 2 years now. All hot flushes disappeared within 3 days! Hallelujah, feel human again!!!! Felt great for a year, lots of energy. Only problem was my breasts went up 2 cup sizes! I then decided to take half a tablet, and after a month, my breasts reduced back to normal! .... For the second year, I found I had vertigo! Also, I felt a shaking inside my body like I had swallowed a mobile phone on vibrate. The doctor said it could be anxiety, which comes with the menopause! Vertigo is one of the rare side effects with Angeliq, so asking my doctor to find a low dose of another HRT. Hope this works! Will let you know later how this works out!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have been taking it for a year and a half. Excellent for hot flash relief. Joint pain has gone, and I feel grateful. It is such a shame so many won't take a hormone because of all the fear-fed attention it got a few years back. To me, the benefits far outweigh the risks. Be sure to exercise, eat healthy, and stay hydrated. I started with the higher dose of .50, then went to .25 with no problems. My doctor takes it herself and would give it to her own mother. I am 55 and happy :) we don't have to white-knuckle menopause."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have just about every menopausal symptom listed, and it makes my life extremely difficult. Sweats, mood changes, muscle pains, depression, general irritability, you name it, I have it. I was on Angeliq for 2 months and felt tremendous relief after 15 days. I did a BP checkup once and had a slightly increased BP (140/100), got afraid and stopped (BP could have gone up for 1000 various reasons, right). All the symptoms came back within 5 days, with vengeance. I have been consuming large amounts of soy, maca powder, linseed oil, as well as started a raw food diet. Nothing helped, not even a slight bit. I decided to go back on Angeliq as soon as possible, my checkup is OK. Really helpful medication."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I am 53 years old and have all the menopausal symptoms. My life was a living hell. I went to my MD, and she recommended Angeliq for a period of 6 months. I believe it took about 3 weeks to really work into my system and has been doing wonders, from severe hot flashes to almost none. I sleep pretty comfortably now. The only discomfort I had was breasts that weighed a ton for a while, but I am OK now. I believe I will use it for another six months and then consult my MD again. It is really a great drug."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I took Angeliq for 2 1/2 years. It was great. All of a sudden, I became numb on the left side of my face, left arm, and sometimes my left leg. My left ear started ringing, and my head was buzzing. I also started having memory loss and confusion. I went to my gynecologist and told him the warning on the medicine was exactly what I was feeling, and he didn't seem to understand. He had my blood drawn for estradiol and Lyden Factor. I finally started bleeding vaginally. I immediately stopped the Angeliq. In a few days, all the symptoms were gone except the ringing and buzzing in my ears. At the same time I was sick from all this, my thyroid became overactive, and my cholesterol went up 40 points (all in 2 months). I still have loud buzzing in my head."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I am 55 years old and went through menopause 2 years ago. I have still got my uterus, and after my yearly visit to my gynae, he decided to put me on Angeliq for my hot flushes. After taking them for 3 weeks and noticing absolutely no change, I started a period that lasted for 9 days (I haven't had a period in 2 years). After the bleeding stopped, I started with nausea and severe cramping. I phoned the gynae's office and was told it's normal and to carry on with the pills, but the cramping has got progressively worse, so I have stopped taking them. I am petrified to try anything else!!!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "This drug is highly effective for severe postmenopausal symptoms. (Severe and frequent hot flashes, sweating/dehydration (almost hourly), sleep deprivation, confusion, (slurring of speech), mood changes, irritability, loss of normal daily function.) The drug has been a miracle, ending all of those symptoms. The lower dose is best for reduced risk. The cost is high in the USA: $195 per month, not covered by any insurance. Initially, the manufacturer (Bayer) provided a coupon which took the cost down to $115. But Bayer has now discontinued the coupon. No insurance covers this drug. I feel discriminated against at age 59 that this drug is not covered. Insurance companies will cover the cost of birth control for younger women, but not cover the cost for postmenopausal women needing relief from extreme symptoms. Women who need this drug may have to plan for an additional $15K to $25K expense in their postmenopausal years if their symptoms are severe and interfere with daily normal functioning."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Brain fog was causing me trouble at work to the point I feared I might lose my job. My doctor has had me on the bio-identical, very expensive medication for over 8 years. I have only good things to report. I responded within days by having a better overall feeling of being younger again and no or rare hot flashes. My hair is longer and thicker than ever before in my life - at 62, I am told I look 42. In a lot of ways, the hormone replacement stopped the clock, and if anything, my 'real age' reversed! My nails and skin are great and rarely a hot flash. My brain is happy and smart enough to handle complex work that I carry on joyfully. My doctor and I discussed the expense since the lower dose was the same cost. I split the pill and take a 1/2 or 1/4 and thus stretch it out over months. It is critical to take it daily, and as soon as you forget. I learned this because in trying to stretch it, I would skip days or just take it when I had a hot flash, and I began having ovarian pain."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I went through an early menopause in my 49s, and my gyn prescribed Angeliq. The only dose it came in then was .5/1. Now, 10 years later, I am going through menopause a 2nd time. Lucky me. My primary care tried me on multiple medications - none of which relieved my symptoms, and all but 1 made me sick. Long story short, I started taking the low dose version yesterday, and I'm hopeful. I think I feel better already, but that could be wishful thinking. I remember feeling like myself again after about a week. I took Angeliq for about 4 years with no side effects."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have been taking Angeliq for about 4 years now, and I can't describe how well I feel. I am 59 and went on Angeliq purely because my hair started to thin out, and it was growing very slowly. From what I understood, from my family, my personality had changed. I was edgy, tense, and angry all the time, not to mention the anxiety attacks in the middle of the night. Once I started taking Angeliq, all my problems fell away! I sleep like a log, flat out for 8 hours! I am never unhappy, lonely, nor depressed. I don't even lose my temper! I feel calm and in control of my life again, besides, my skin has never looked better! I do know that it has been discontinued in the UK, but I get mine from South Africa. My gynie sends me a year's script, and I get my son in SA to buy it for me and send it over. When I do visit my family in SA, I go and get my regular yearly check with my gynie. It works well this way until I find another way. I am not going to change Angeliq for something else."
