Aleve PM (diphenhydramine / naproxen) for Pain "I ached all over while on a camping trip and was restless so I took 1 Aleve to take the edge off and quickly felt myself drifting off to la la land. I was woken by sharp stomach pains and tried to unsuccessfully use the bathroom. When I climbed back into my tent I began experiencing itchy palms and soles of my feet. Being that I was camping I thought I must have gotten into something poisonous but then I felt my tongue starting to swell and I started to wheeze. Fortunately I was in a place the had a medic tent where they assessed me to find my blood pressure through the roof & my pulse skyrocketing. After 30 or so minutes the side effects began to subside and my vitals went back to normal & the Aleve went into the trash. Read side effects"

Aleve PM (diphenhydramine / naproxen) for Pain "I have Sickle Cell Anemia(beta thal) & avascular necrosis in both hips and shoulders. To function I HAVE to stay on top of my pain around the clock and hoped the Aleve PM would help me get sleep. I gave in and spent $10 on 20 caplets which did NOT help my pain whatsoever after taking 4 in a desperate attempt to get my pain back in control. It made no difference. I'm sleep deprived and miserable today thanks to these things. The regular Aleve is one of my go to pain relievers during the day but the PM version is a joke. I just wish I could get a refund...."

Aleve PM (diphenhydramine / naproxen) for Pain "I had total knee replacement 3 weeks ago and figured I would try Aleve PM because of good reviews elsewhere. I took 2 caplets at bedtime, as directed. An hour and a half later, I was still wide awake and in pain. It did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for me, and I couldn't take anything else because I'd taken this alleged 12-hour medication. So horribly disappointed."

For Pain "I was diagnosed with arthritis in my right hip and had fallen, hurting that leg pretty badly 15 months ago. My left leg got swollen from my knee to my ankle, barely able to walk. Naproxen helped the pain easily BUT for 4 nights in a row I felt hyper and could not sleep!! When I napped it was not even a hour at a time.."

Aleve PM (diphenhydramine / naproxen) for Pain "It is the only thing that can make me fall asleep any more, but if I get woken up at all I am extremely angry for no reason and my pain is ten times worse. My pain is constantly around 8-10 at night and I can hardly fall asleep with it but when I take Aleve pm it just expands it worse. Most nights I’m just laying in tears from being so damn tired but I just can’t get comfortable or out of pain enough to actually drift off. Aleve pm helps me with how fast it can just knock me out but once I wake up even if after an hour the pain keeps me up for hours on end."

Aleve PM (diphenhydramine / naproxen) for Insomnia "I've tried many solutions for my insomnia from melatonin and herbal remedies to prescription drugs but mostly without success. I've tried all of the OTC "PM" meds but the only one that showed some promise was naproxen pm. It's not great or a long term answer but it does provide some help while I continue to try out other possible remedies (recently tried Doxepin which left me drowsy the next day and now giving Trazadone a second try)."

Aleve PM (diphenhydramine / naproxen) for Insomnia "I have trouble falling asleep and few if any supplements help me with that problem. Aleve PM is a product that I found helpful especially when taken with a little Melatonin. For the last two months I have taken Aleve PM and Melatonin before bed with no problems, and fairly sound sleep, but last night I had visual hallucinations. I have only had visual hallucinations from a sleep product one other time and they were horrifying. I cannot find any where that says that Aleve PM excessive use can cause hallucinations, nor do I know if taking a little Melatonin with it was destructive, but I am going to stop taking it for a while just in case."

Aleve PM (diphenhydramine / naproxen) for Insomnia "I go the gym almost every day. So I have an ache or pain somewhere ALL the time. I have a hard time falling asleep. All I need is one Aleve PM and I sleep pain free for 8 hours."

Aleve PM (diphenhydramine / naproxen) for Insomnia "Aleve PM makes me go to sleep and stay asleep. Kicks in fast, helps with Fibromyalgia pain. My only concern is reading about possible side effects and liver damage."

Aleve PM (diphenhydramine / naproxen) for Insomnia "I took these pills and still woke up several times throughout the night. My aches are gone but I woke up more times after taking the Aleve PM than I normally do not taking anything."

Aleve PM (diphenhydramine / naproxen) for Pain "41 minutes later. My stomach still hurts and I am not the slightest bit sleepy. The same thing happened last night. I was able to watch a movie and still felt awful."
